So idk if it happens for all games or just VBA but i'm using the VBA core and i've noticed among other things that certain parts of the visuals will sorta warp around and bug out during any sort of movement. This example is the most pronounced but it happens alot and is mostly subtle but not enough to make it a bad experience

However i'm wondering if theres a fix for this or if its just a byproduct of either my video settings or VBA being weird

try it in another core, such as mgba

I was actually about to do that but i wrote in #help after realizing i cant

#

Is my save file corrupted or something because i'm like 99% sure i quit the game after it finished saving properly

#

and metroid fusion didn't have this issue i dont think

#

and yes i have looked it up and all the results i'm getting are for VBA-M standalone

#

I think the issue of my save is now a bigger concern

did you load a savestate by chance? the save RAM is part of the state, so if you load one, it will wipe out your save file and replace it with the save RAM from the state

I haven't used save states at all

#

all my saving has been in the game

#

cuz it worked in fusion and i had 0 reason to believe it wouldn't work here

#

It's right there too

#

wait i just realized its 1 kb

#

it's most definitely a dud file but idk how that could be the case

For future reference, is there any possibility of a setting in retroarch which would make a backup save state everytime a save file is created
