I have several bios files, and it seems as though the core is finding them because it's creating an MEC file automatically when I launch the game, but retroarch crashes back to home.

enabled logging all the way down on Debug but it just creates an empty log file in the dir

it shouldn't be too picky about BIOS as long as it's in the correct spot. Is it failing to launch altogether or launching with a black screen or whatever?

Black screen for 3 or so seconds, then it crashes back to the Home Screen

hmm, I don't think there's much we can do without a log, unfortunately, since that seems to be a pretty catastrophic failure

for the most part, yes. For this particular core, dunno. It worked before with the old, crummy core, but I don't have much data about the new core on it
