#Android, ZFold6, MelonDS has touch screen "dead zone"

I have attached my most recent RA log file and a screen recording of my issue in action.

Whenever I'm playing a Nintendo DS game on RetroArch Android 1.19.1, in the touchscreen area of my screen, the game will consistently "lose" any input if I click and drag into the right half or so of the touch screen area, as you can see in my attached Ghost Trick footage. This occurs for any input method, I tested with touch and stylus and it happened in both instances.
This only appears to occur when I play on my Galaxy ZFold 6 with the screen folded out, and in any orientation. When playing in normal mode, the touchscreen does not have this issue. This issue also persists in both MelonDS and MelonDS DS cores and regardless of if I have the optional NDS bios files on my phone.
Is this one of the issues I keep hearing about that came up from enabling stylus input in RA Android?

After poking around more, I have determined that this is some sort of issue with the Nintendo DS on-screen control overlays. For whatever reason, both the DS and DSi layouts have some invisible element under the Y face button that blocks input.
I tried running the overlay update but the issue is still present. I want to go into the files and see about deleting the 2 DS overlays and basically force it to re-install the files, but I have no idea how to get to /data/user/0 on my phone. Does anyone know a potentially easier way to remove and update this problematic overlay?

that's in portrait mode? or landscape?

Landscape

okay, there were a couple of vestigial "null" buttons in there that I moved off of the screen that might have been the culprit

That was my guess as to what was going on too

I will update my overlays in a bit and see if that fixed the issue

k, yeah, i just pushed the changes up, so they should hit the online updater in a little while

LOL, I tried it just now and still had the issue, so I'll check the updater again in a few hours

yeah, probably gonna take an hour or two to get there

#

if it's not working by tonight, something else must be amiss (or I edited the wrong overlays)

I tested it again just now and the dead zone is gone
Thanks a bunch!
