Had a question about changing start date - backwards works fine but when moving start date forward all the changes I made to state ownership were screwed up. Am i missing some file that dictates who controls what states during certain years?

This is my idea for a mod. The British Empire loses the Napoleon war. After the Empire went into political turmoil, and other nations around the world saw an empire weak. at the same time Napoleon was assassinated, which sparked a second revolution in France. Due to the assassination of Napoleon happened a few years after the war, France while still a superpower did not allow the unification of Germany. Idk just an idea. Dm me if your interested.

Ok so I read online deleting the contents of a nations focus tree when placed in ur mod folder will give that country a generic focus tree, however when I try to do that the game just crashes when loading databases. Basically my question is - how do I give a country that has a national focus tree in the main game a generic focus tree?

Unification wars is a good mod IMO, but it only has 1 unique focus tree. Either way, the generic focus tree isn't bad and even has 2 war goals.

After the fall of Warsaw, Soviet forces razed much of the city and put large portions of the government to the rifle. In the time between the fall of Warsaw and the establishment of the People’s Republic, the country was in turmoil as all national authority dissipated. German populations in the former Imperial territories took this opportunity to revolt against the Poles and rejoin Germany. While in many of the territories, the Polish enjoyed a numbers advantage, their lack of organized resistance from the virtually nonexistent Polish government allowed the German-funded rebels to seize control of the territories. The Soviets were busy ratifying their treaty in the East, giving way to this golden opportunity. The Western powers remained silent as the German military, almost completely shattering the Treaty of Versailles in the process, marched into the Polish Corridor and other lost territories, and the German Eagle once again flew over Danzig — the Polish People’s Republic, backed by the Soviets, are eager to reclaim Greater Poland and push the Germans back to their place, while as Germany militarizes at a rapid rate the chances of that happening grow slimmer and slimmer.
