A bit of a dilemma I have, I want to create a modification that basically rewrites the entire history, something along the lines of "If Germany won WWI" but more like "If the Moscow-Berlin Axis was formed in 1935", but I have zero coding experience and I have no clue where to start when it comes to modding HoI

You don't really need coding experience to mod it. Pdox makes modding it fairly simple, and it should be easier in HOI4 with the tools to make focus trees and such. I'm sure there are some good tutorials out there on youtube. even tutorials for eu4 or something would give you a good idea of how to do things in hoi4

Problem with Fallout in Pdox games is that we don't know the exact borders of all the factions, and even then they would be seperated by swaths of wasteland probably
and to my understanding it's not even centralized or cohesive, but rather just having 'hubs' of support for a faction rather than actual borders

the problem wasnt that they have now gfx (i didnt set them) it was that i could see them in advisors tab like they werent added. reason was encoding. it worked when i had ANSI instead of UTF-8 with BOM

Not sure how to make mods, maybe I'll learn sometime. Has anyone tried making a mod that makes fuel something you can produce with factories from oil, removing the oil resource requirement on vehicles, and then making "fuel" a supply requirement for vehicles and slightly reducing the cost to produce vehicles? Not sure how it would work for air and navy, but it'd make ground forces pseudo use the HoI3 fuel system again and allow for a strategic fuel reserve.

basically, I'll use the UK as an example
Although the UK has a core on Northern Ireland, it is not in the home area, because it is overseas (albeit not that far overseas). Ofcourse, this means that all the colonies are not in the home area too. What it means though, is that it is harder to supply divisions not in your home area, but a decent port and decent infrastructure is enough to supply this divisions. (If you go on supply mode and hover over anywhere, it treis to make a route to the capital from there, or any other major city)

because if so you havent changed the OOB in NFR - New France and you don't have localisation
you need localisation/countries_I_english.yml and add your country using the same template as every other country. Then, also you should change the OOB from "ALB_1936" to "NFR_1936", and also according to your New_France.txt file, it is eastern european.

im havig problems with rgb and I cant figure out the problem I have the text file if anyone want to look at it
I figured out the problem the problem is that the history files and the common files have to be the same in order for the rgb to work so lets say that you are using the files for Albania to use the rgb the files that decide where your capital and political system are they have to also be from Albania in order for the rgb to work.

there should be equivalents for all other major image editing softwares (that support plugins)

i recently downloaded coloured puppets and checked my mod folder to activate it and suddenly there were no mods? and just 5 mineutes ago i saw all of my mods!, does anyone have a fix ive tryed everything including verifying cache reinstalling it 2 times and pasting workshop folder into the hoi4 folder!
