Alright so on the single level of play you did good. Maybe practice using the charge more properly.
But on the side of team, you were running poor tank combos the first two rounds. Hog Winston, Sigma Winston, Rein Winston. They don't really pair well which each other. Your Winston carried you on those the first rounds so I would've suggested you to change to a Zarya or D.Va or maybe Ball
Once you got to the third round and you run Zarya Rein you obliterated the first fight
Your biggest problem as Rein is that you forget to look at where your team is or you don't play with them. Good examples can be found when you retreat at the same time when your Zarya pushes and uses Grav. Or when you push when your team is low on resources
Another reminder is to use your shield more, it's without an exception above 800 health
- you want to look for resource advantages/disadvantages
this could be number of players, health, cooldowns, etc
the more you play while actively thinking about this, the better you will get at processing whether ur team is at an advantage or disadvantage and act on it
if your team had the advantage, you want to go aggressive to leverage it
if your team has a disadvantage, you want to wait/retreat until you have it again (most of the time)
- shield to block abilities (like cc)
and also to safely rotate from corner to corner
also use it to block damage that is threatening you ig
its obv not optimal to shield in swing range but if you have to you can
^
well i wanna emphasize the importance of not shielding just for the sake of it
and yeah reaction time, and more importantly predicting abilities, is gonna be needed
you wanna get to a point where you can block almost every CD that is thrown your way
i dont know of a guide because its a p general concept but i can summarize how to tell
the most important is the number of players
obv having more players is the biggest advantage, and it goes the same the other way
so you dont want to go aggressive in a 4v6, or defensive in a 6v4
(most of the time)
other factors use the same concept, except you have to learn to track them since they arent as apparent as the killfeed
like cooldowns
if your team has a lot of cooldowns and the enemy team just used theirs, then you want to go aggressive
so when you play try and actively think before you press W or S, until it becomes a habit to always check whether your team has the advantage / is ready to fight
ask away!
yeah thats probably the toughest part about rein
especially now
so against a lot of offangles what you need to do is
choose an offangle to clear
and then decisively clear it
keep doing this until you get a situation where all (or most) of the enemy angles have now become just from 1 direction
so you can shield everything from the same time
so in your situation
you can path to the hanzo
and force him out
even if that means taking the long way around

Professional Overwatch Coaching is what you get, and that's all you're going to find here!

Not to ...
this video is a great explanation of the concept with a lot of examples
rein functions like a broom just sweeping everyone to one place before he can really brawl and then win the fight
yeah
so if you have a lucio and rush comp
(probably very rare)
you can try and force your way into right side with a clean rotation
but thats probably not practical advice
you need to chill at the choke, only corner swinging to farm support ults and yours
you dont have to force any aggression off-the-bat
then, once you have nano or window or any kind of ult you can get an advantage off of
you can try and break the choke using it
its a matter of patience
also for hanamura first, its very beneficial to have dps heroes that bypass the choke (pharah echo etc)
if you have one of these you can look to go in and capitalize off of their pressure
but yeah hanamura 1st is one of the hardest chokes in the game
its a real test on ult economy and engagement timing
