<@&1144841851791212564> would like to have this one reviewed since I think I'm stuck.
hi i can take a peek
OK.
okay so i just watched
and to preface this im a diamond dps though i don't dabble in soldier that often I play tracer but i can definitely see some things that i used to struggle with alot
some things i see that will naturally get better with more playtime is your aim and game sense
i see that your helix accuracy isnt the best and i notice you try and hit body shots with it, while using helix bombs the best way to consistenly get dmg is aiming at their feet, which you would of gotten way more picks if you were doing that instead of shooting directly at them, and i see your tracking needs some improvement, i see your mouse swaying back and forth a lot you could def benefit some some aim practice warmups where theyre are just A D strafing and walking in a line especially with soldier
May I get the code?
M4S1MJ its at the top
And i see with your ult you def used it in a bad position the best way to use soldier ult is with a push while taking an off angle or to counter another ultimate
when u use you ult you are using infront of a big choke where the whole enemy team is staring at you, so you got sigma blocked as well as walled off into a death, and with soldier ult while its nice to get multiple targets its best to choose atlkeast 1 or 2 targets you want to kill. Like the moira or the ashe, i wouldve used it from left side of them in the door way where that mega pack is and as i would have cover and would force the team to turn away from my team to get me, or if my mauga rushed in and was able to create a disturbance i wouldve used that as an opening
soldier isnt a flank character in the sense of genji or tracer but hes really good at holding down a angle withj his bombs and good self heal, so holding downb a flank you know the enemy is going to take and not trying to go deep for a pick will def help youre KD and team in total but again most of it comes down to your aim and game sense on whether or not youre able and its worth it to do it
is it just me or does their sens look incredibly low?
Hey, if you'd like a somewhat in depth review of your vod in vc dm me and tell me when you can make it! (free)
-# unless you really feel like giving me money ig but I'm just tryna put hours in on coaching
haven't looked at the vod myself (though i intend to later to see if i can add anything of value to what was mentioned above) but normally really low sens is a good thing, i personally play at 4.75 sens with 900dpi
1600 dpi at 2.5%
The main things I'm seeing so far in the first half that you can improve upon is that you want to learn how to apply more pressure and confirm kills on players that your tank is drawing attention from.
In this replay it's a mauga, so you will benefit from being more aggressive towards the fights that he initiates.
In addition to that you want to learn when to use your abilities assertively (like healing pad being used for more sustain in fight rather than a last ditch in cover while waiting to return to combat)
In low ranks, the right placement can even sway some fights if you place it where your team is moving through on objectives/near chokes.
When you ult, you want to use it for surprises/ambushes, very rarely is it a good idea to do it in your enemy line of sight.
Best case scenario is having your abilities available, and then place down your heal just before ulting around cover.
Your pre requisites aside from that to have a successful ult is to burn / bait out enemy defensive cooldowns that counter your ult.
Other things that stick out is that it would benefit you a lot to go through each heroes abilities in practice range and read their effects (the wiki often has up to date stats as well)
That way you are able to make decisions on how to react to fighting/being fought by different heroes.
For example you would be able to have better timing on when to shoot at sigma so he doesn't get overhealth from kinetic grasp.
Your sens doesn't seem to be an issue at all in this replay. Your overall movement and aim will just improve with playtime as you develop muscle memory.
If you want to improve faster you simply have to play more modes where you are constantly getting into fights like deathmatch, or custom instant respawn game modes you can play.
Sure I can go over it this weekend if that works for you.
sure! Just dm me so I don't forget tho
