I'm Feint on Tank, currently a Platinum Tank player. In this game I play Dva, Sigma, and Orisa. I play on PC.
I was hoping I could get some critique on my decision making with regards to space specifically during this game.
The fight that I struggled with the most is my first fight on defence. I decide that I would, as Sigma with two long range DPS on my team, hold high ground on top of the petrol station. My thinking is that often when I would hold on low-ground at the corner, this would go well until one of the enemy DPS decide to run up the hill to the high ground, and from there they usually zone out, or drop down and secure kills on, DPS and supports and I find it hard to contest them from the low-ground on characters that are not able to fly up there. To try take back more control, I wanted to hold high ground so I could poke at any enemy DPS contesting from their hill. However, a Cassidy very quickly runs through the tunnel and ends up taking up a ton of space on the side. I notice too late and don't contest it, so he ends up killing Lifeweaver and disrupting our entire team while Doomfist distracts from the front. We totally capitulate and I'm blamed by Ashe in VC for baiting my team and throwing first point. I don't disagree, though I do wonder if a DPS had held high ground on the right instead of them both standing on the petrol station then the Cassidy wouldn't have been able to take that space so easily. But, what can I do here better? Perhaps holding from the right side of the petrol station so I can poke anyone coming through the tunnel? Just go low-ground and play like that?
Other than that, I know I make many mistakes mechanically and tactically and I would love to hear any criticism of my play!
Thank you for your time!
