so i feel like im pretty decent on tank(i was plat once). But lately idk what is happening but i feel like many games end up with the whole enemy team just focus firing me which makes it almost impossible to engage and when i do create space my team doesnt utilize it. I want some tips on positioning and util usage this game (not saying its my teammates fault that im not winning, its obv my fault since the enemy team also has bad players)
platform: pc

Hey there I'm taking a look at it. Its hard to find the balance of when to go in on Dva, and especially on the center of Colesseo since its a narrow hallway. There are few things I see that you could improve on. Its ok to fend off the tracer, but try not to use rocket boost to chase her until she uses recall. Same for Moira or people with an escape ability. Otherwise you end up awkwardly standing in the middle of nowhere out of range when they use the ability (tracer recalls right after the picture). Your team comes in clutch handling the Doom and rest of the team here while you wait for your boosters to come back.
Your soldier just feeds next, he was so far forward matrix wouldn't have even saved him. Once the second person on your team goes down and the other team is swarming, I just recommend dying while stalling the bot since the next 20 seconds of trying to get mech back snowball things.
Looking through your 1st person view, I would recommend you look around more to get more information on when your DPS are ready to make a play, since they do go agressive sometimes and are really passive other times. I also would have assumed its time to go in when your Zen pops trans, but they didn't, and you do a good job of pulling back to the bridge. Whenever the other team is clumped together like this, its ok to hold a corner or high ground spot for a few seconds until you see an opening and their ults run out. You can also stall the bot from here (contested indicator at top), so no rush.
Looking around also lets you see chances to protect your team. Doom and tracer can make their own plays really fast, and your Moira and Sombra are fighting doom, Zen is dying to Tracer. Knowing exactly who to matrix or go for takes time, but I can definitely say you shouldn't be shooting the valking mercy here. As a general rule, if you aren't already in getting an elim, if you see Doom or tracer full commit, go over and matrix your team, then go aggressive once you push doom out. Situations like this are sometimes why your team isn't following you in when you attack.
Your team still wins though. Next fight you do a good job getting the Cass, and the second thing you did good is you then went back to your team to get healed and not get de-meched. That also put you in a position to punish the doomfist. Good use of cover too.
Here is a good chance to talk about the positioning you mentioned. Pushing the bot isn't really your job unless it is to contest it. The tracer makes thing tricky, but you should either go up and hold the space next to the Cass to push him out so he can't shoot down on your team, or push out the tracer. Doing either of those options (shown in blue) would be better than staying on bot here since they can take all the space and surround you.
Oh you do go up and get the cass a few second later good job.
Holding that staircase area keeps them trapped, and doesn't let the doom get to your supports, so its a good spot to hold.
From here your team just falls apart, its now Zen's turn to backpedal for 20 seconds only to die anyway when he should have died on bot, then your Sombra EMPs in 3v5 unlucky XD
Times like this you should matrix block Doom's followup shots. Do that and your team might have lived through just the Moira beam. You shoot the ulting Moira instead and she never gets below half hp. You won't get an elim, so try to make a defensive play.
Some positional/space taking mistakes come up from here. Your Moira and Sombra tired to chase the tracer across the map, and they are nowhere near being able to help you. Dumb play by them, but it also shows that you should look around more and be more aware.
The second issue is that you go into a room. Holding a corner up in front is good because you can pressure the other team and get healed, but you go into a side room where your team can't help you. A Plat+ Doom would punch you further into the room, teabag you, spam the "and dey say" voiceline, and unfortunately the game would end here.
Nice fight win, and then you do hold the staircase, but the moira distracts you. Something coaches like Spilo like to stress about space, is that trapping the squishies behind a corner is more important than turning around to chase a low damage character like this Moira, or a wrecking ball. There is a mercy pocketed cass and a tracer behind you right now, so focus on matrixing them until your team deals the Moira and heals you.
The doom panics and feeds here. OT gets complicated if you have a mic, now's a good time to doublecheck "weaver you got bot?" There is about a 5 second time here where they don't have a tank. I haven't seen the end of the game but I vote full W key here right now, its a high percentage play.
