If I’m honest with you guys, I’ve been getting my butt kicked for the past frw weeks, kinda bouncing between Gold I and II. Tired of feeling like I’m sandbagging, would be great to have some advice for positioning and target priority.. I already know about the aim, though. Thanks.

hello, im a dva main as well, hope u dont mind me vod reviewing

one of the most important things as a dva player is target selection. you have good understanding on who to dive but not the when and how to dive that target. on a map like circuit royal where theres not as much high ground as compared to gibraltar, it will be difficult for you to capitalise on targets without the enemy tank fighting back or peeling and since theres barely any high ground to fall back on, it will be easy for the enemy to capitalise on u having no booster to escape because u used it to dive AND also being on the same ground level as them. you dont realise this mistake because you are too tunnelvisioned into your target.for example, around 14:05, you try to dive the zenyatta thats right NEXT to the ramattra and while you did make him pop his ult, you traded your life to try and kill him.

while i do sense you eyeing up isolated targets that are easy for you to kill, you arent aggressive enough to try and challenge these isolated players off their position. around 1:05, i can sense that you wanted to target the hanzo but you backed off. if you were to be aggressive and dive the hanzo, you couldve forced a tp and suzu from kiriko, a pull from lw, or reaper tping to that high ground to try and help the hanzo. forcing the enemy to use these cooldowns to try and save the hanzo would help your team push out of their spawn much more faster as they would be forced to back off while also giving you the high ground advantage. the rein is also unable to get up there and peel for the hanzo. another example is around 7:35 when you eye up the lw but instead you go for the junkrat below you. you can also see your genji is eyeing up the lw as well. i feel like lw wouldve been the better pick here as it allows you to force him off an aggro position while following up with ur dps making the enemy respect your positioning and back off. or if they decide to push your backline, you can try and potentially trade as u have ult for a 2nd life.

one last mistake i can spot is that you have no dm "discipline". you shouldnt be randomly throwing out your dm trying to predict rein's firestrike but instead just wait for the bright yellow to come out first unless you have a slow reaction time then i understand. another example, around 12:00, what were you trying to dm? if you have saved up your dm resource to try to mitigate the very obvious reaper that was about to wraith, you wouldve had a better chance at winning that fight.

overall just be more aggressive but know when to be and where to be, and use your dm more wisely
