Hey there! This is my 4th QP game as D.Va and I’m looking for some criticism. I feel like I did quite well here as my team won the game, but I feel as though I didn’t do good as a Tank here. My console is PC.

I watched the replay anyway because D.Va enjoyers are cool like that. I only watched the first two games as that provided enough redflags to stop. There's issues with D.Va in particular, and on the game in general. Let's start with the general issues first. The most glaring issue I noted was the shaky aim. Is this your first shooter? because you don't seem confident enough to even shoot down a sym turret. I mean it literally, there was a fight happening right in the point, you slowly looked up and to the left, started shooting at a turret, missed, decided it was enough and ran to a healthpack. Immediatly after we run into issue number two, you don't seem to know what each character can do, as you started shooting at the enemy dynamite, then walked into it and it exploded in your face forcing the de-mech (yes, there was also an Ashe freely shooting behind you for like 2-3 seconds and you didn't notice, but you might as well have been de-mech'd from the enemies on point+dynamite). There was also a time where you tried to chase a moira ball with matrix up in the air, while you ignored your teammates who started fighting and dying. This points to a general lack of awareness, you focus too much on one thing and forget fights may break out any second (doesn't help wasting half your resource bar on a harmless ball but I digress).

On D.va, first off you're trying to play her like a discount Sigma, standing around menacingly and shooting at people from a distance. That is not how you play her because her effective range is much much shorter and have mobility tools. What you should try to do is to look for angles where you can catch supports/dps out of position, to dive with with boosters, shot them down with missiles and primary fire, hopefully killing them, using up matrix to survive and then boosting away, either to safety or to your next target.

Second is cooldowns, you're wasting micromissiles too much, you need to have them up when kill opportunities arises. Then on the first game I saw you a. using matrix when no enemy was shooting b. not using matrix when you were being shot at even if it was up and you were low health. You were de-mech'd 2-3 times because of this. c. your matrix aim doesn't seem fluid nor conscious enough, you ignore some moira balls, you accidentally got one, then another you take your eyes off your target and look for it like a cat following a laser pen. This may be related to awareness or aim, I'm not sure but it doesn't change what needs to be fixed and how.

Finally, and this may just reiterate on the first point, your gun has fall-down range and a big spread, you wanna pretty much shotgun people with it, it does piss damage otherwise. You tried to fight cass and widow at range and you lost because of that and not using matrix to survive, they shouldn't be able to kill you either with a mercy tailing you. If you can't shoot at people at your desired range then just take cover, let them walk into your range, then you can fight. If it's a tank you can't win against then you can just boost away or ignore him and dive their backline.

As for fixing your issues, there's too much to munch around here and it will be impossible to work on everything at the same time. I suggest the following: 1. start every gaming session with 5-10 minutes on a custom map like VAXTA to improve your mouse control. Don't bother about kill numbers, you want laser focus on making sure your motions are fluid and the crosshair right on the target, this will help with your tracking. Try following the characters with your primary fire at different distances as well so you can get accustomed to it, and also learn how much damage you can dish out without using abilities. 2. I suggest you watch the first 3 games of A10's D.Va unranked to chally run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_QVBHABA4A for a good look at her playstyle. 3. When you run into stuff annoying stuff you're not sure how they work or how to deal with it, just google the wiki of that character and look up at the ability, no need to read the whole page, but little by little you'll improve your game knowledge. 4. In-game focus on using your abilities as described and playing D.Va as indicated as well, I know I told you about the lack of awareness and standing in the of points full of people BUT you can't fix everything at once, especially if it's through gameplay experience, the warmup will make you more confident on getting kills, more deadly and should also help you with matrix'ing aim. The focus on D.Va playstyle is also more important here because you need to learn how to dive with her to be effective, there's no point on realizing there's an Ashe shooting behind you if all you would do was turn around and shoot her from where you're standing. Get a real feeling for her playstyle, then come back with another replay ok?
