lets goooo, blind players unite
WE yes WE are blind
I have recently been focused on building up some steam production so that i wont need to worry about it later, i used a RC liquid boiler that is fed creosote by 10 coke ovens and water by a water pump, this along with some solar boilers that i built after going to the twilight forest should be more than enough steam production for a good bit of time.
This was also during the time that i had began moving from my little mountain base into a warehouse that i made to house the BBF's and Ovens, I am now beginning to quickly realise how much space is actually needed for these multiblocks and the machinery inside of this modpack.
The next goal will be to build the rest of the LV machines and maybe have an attempt at automating some of it.
After creating some more LV machinery i decided to take advantage of the oil well that sat directly outside of my base, i setup a little hut and wired it up from the main power source, for the time being i stored it inside of a tank but eventually swapped to a distillery after looking into some "light fuel", considering how simple it seemed to be to create i decided to take some time to automate it using some machinery.
I used my previous railcraft water tank and wired it up to the electrolyzer to get hydrogen and canned it using the fluid canner, the distillery to get the 'sulfuric light fuel' and then combined them inside of the chemical reactor and output into a tank, this is a buffer for the combustion engines and works incredibly well.
My goal now is to build a portal room, move my basic miner onto a new vein then do some uni work and let some materials pile up 👍
On This week's episode of what i did whilst procrastinating course work!
For the last few days on and off ive been trying to get the healing axe, this was a much longer process than i thought it would've been.
Firstly, i needed an activation sigil, not too bad just made some armor, a better crossbow and cleaver and cleared an area out to fight the wither, i went and got the heads for the wither summoned him and boom we have a sigil.
I realised i needed aluminium for the wand to get the enchanting table, this took me down the route of finally building and setting up my EBF, this was a long and strenuous process considering i had no clue how to power it, i ended up making another energy input thing and seperating my power sources, this worked like a charm.
from here it was pretty simple, learn thaumcraft, use the materials to create an enchanting table, perform the ritual and then craft the axe
(i aint doin allat farming for the quest)
After a few distractions, I created the axe, upgraded the builders wand, made the destruction pickaxe and yippee now i dont need to worry about hunger, man i hate spice of life
Yeah pretty productive week, including the oil distillery system i managed to move most of my power over to the light fuel, everything is running a lot smoother and im really happy with my progress, although i should definitely take a break as to not burn myself out.
I think i'm gonna spend some time building when i next log on to take a break, or maybe do something less tedious such as setting up a simple farm or something, idk thats later me's problem.
Today as i previously mentioned i took a break from progression to build a bit, i want to incorporate the mountain into my base eventually so i started on making a path, i cleared the area and decided if its going to be where i spend a lot of time why not decorate it and try make it look somewhat good, i decided on the inside of the base having a gemstone cave type style and the outside areas having an industrialized Japanese style, these are two areas ive never built in and i though the gemstone cave would be really cool considering all the ore types and blocks in the mod pack.
As shown in the picture a lot of concrete and andesite was used for the gateway and the spikes coming out of the entrance are mainly different colored ores and glass.
The colors i settled on were white, black, red, green, blue, purple, orange, and yellow.
Considering these are styles ive never touched before i think it turned out quite well.
Yep that's it 👍
veeeery good, enjoy the slowness
