Never usually build in Minecraft, so decided to try in GTNH. Not a great builder so I’m pretty happy with the result (though it took ages to make). Still in year 2, technically early Steam but I’ve held off progressing until I was done

it can be done quickly, but GTNH has a stone age vibe that's worth playing. I feel like there's a lot of critical stages thata can get rushed

I didn’t know anything about power generation or electricity so I just built crazy steam infrastructure and mined like an insane person

Then I got one teammate who showed me power gen and I showed him how to build / scale a base to organize our new machinery

I’m purposely spending ages in steam cause I like the vibe, I can totally see LV being much easier if you have major steam infra, this build puts mine to shame though

Smeltery, just put glass dust in and pour into block mold, don’t you need glass for some stuff in mid steam?

Both work actually, if you have an alloy smelter that's probably better, but you need a box mold I think

ur required to make the mold in steam quests so it works out\

I think you are actually straight up required to make glass for extractor, and some stone age quests also hint at it
