How Does Sliding Into an Open String (0) Work on Guitar?

In this mini solo, he plays 4–2 and then slides to 0 (open string).

What does a 0-to-0 slide actually mean?
How do I get that sound at the end when I pick the open string?

first of all the bow you see there is just a tie, it means you hold the note into the next next bar

the thing is, this tab is just wrong. for one its played with a slide, and the way its tabbed out makes just no sense
