You can have a look on Guitar Patches site. Ther'es a couple of patches for Metallica.

The other method is to ask Dr. Google, or the Chatty GPT for Metallica settings.
Basically, pick a high-gain amp and matching cab, cut the mids on on the amp, throw a Tube Screamer in front, and EQ after the cab, and take it from there. There's a lot of information out there on Metallica's gear and settings.

Yup can always start with any high gain Marshall or mesa model. The pickups might make a bigger difference they use emg 81s forever
