For cover band stuff playing from Metallica to motley Crue to more pop alt rock type stuff
Trem or no trem
If u are fine w a trem I love recommending the prs se custom 24-08
If u need to switch tunings fast it don’t the best but it will do the tuning changes fine
It has a floating trem so u gota retune like 2 times
Could also buy a digitech drop or boss xs1 poly shift w that budget tho bc it is at the 1k mark
If u want a hard tail u could consider the se Paul’s guitar it is the same but hard tail
Could also check out the Ltd EC 1000 Duncan
If u wanted to look used the Schecter California classic
GC has one used for like 1300 near me, I would prolly just block the trem
- Charvel Mod Plus SD1 HH HT
- EVH Wolfgang Special Tuna-Matic
- PRS S2 Vela
almost all standard guitars can handle switching between standard and d standard
its not about the guitar
its about the strings
all the criteria should be is a hardtail or decked tremolo, and 24 frets
which is like a fuck ton of guitars
so just choose whichever that look cool to u and have those following
I chose the x500 because of the Fishmans, which will make it a tad more versatile
meh fishmans r fishmans
i dont rlly think they add anything special other than if you like how fishmans sound
considering the music they listed was literally metallica and motley crue, i dont really see why pickups gotta be anything specific
Well floating trem makes it a pain in the ass or shorter scale intonation can get shaky
which is why i said "all the criteria should be is a hardtail or decked tremolo, and 24 frets"
it doesnt really get shaky if you're just going from E standard to D standard
like i said its about string gauge, so itll mitigate that anyway
and most guitars on the market are 25.5" as is
What string gauge would be the lightest you think and not get too stringy in d standard, 10-52?
What do we think about this
also a good choice but i prefer the ibanez feel and a steal for the price even if you buy new. you can find one for around 1500$ or so. also one of the best fixed bridges there is, i would say better than hipshot
11s is usually what people use for D standard
Any specific model you recommend or just any of the prestige hard tail?
prestige hardtail is good
