#Semi hollow or solid

What do you wanna play on guitar
depends on what you wanna play, your influences and how it fits with your existing gear. With a semil hollow you might want to control your distortion a bit more in order to avoid feedback.

ik this is a solid already but its just been a long time since i loved hollow but this is probably what i would try to be playing most of the time in the future
With the same tone also its just soothing
this tone on the neck pickup of a semi hollow would sound gold
not saying that playing semi hollow guitars with high levels of distortion can't be done. I mean take Dave Grohl for example (I'm sure there are many others but can't remember their names right now)
Uh sorry whats distortion im not really familiar as ive just been playing acoustic huhu
well, distortion is a kind of effect used on electric guitar. It is saturation, just like overdrive and fuzz. Overdrive simulates the sound of a guitar amp being, well, overdriven (cranked volume which saturates the sound, making it "dirty"). Distortion is heavier and "clips" some of the signal, making it harsher. Fuzz is just balls to the wall crazy, making square waves and mimicking the sound of broken equipment (funny enough, that's kind of how fuzz came to be and was one of the first guitar effects)
oo
that's just to put it on "simple terms", guitar effects are pretty diverse. I recommend watching videos on how these (and other) effects sound for you to get a feel of what u want on electric guitar
somebody did ask for that guitar not long ago

i would suggest to try a semi hollow first. the swingster is a bit extreme for that kind of playing, lacking sustain, playability etc
There is not that much difference between a semi-hollow and solid body, when amplified. Pickups make more of a difference in the sound.
You kinda do hear a difference but not really bnig enough to choose one over the other in my opinion
the only reason id personally buy a semi hollow is for the weight
if you really want a different sound, get a fully hollow electric guitar
although those are very susceptible to feedback and arent really good for heavier stuff
if im being completely honest tho
any guitar can play ilke that
most of it will be up to ur fingers
I disagree. Which have you tried? there are big differences if we are talking about the traditional hollow bodies..
i would say if you practice alot without actually plugging in the guitar (which i do 99% of the time) then go for a semi hollow
I have tried the ES-335
Fully hollow guitars do sound different
semi hollows not so much
not enough to buy one over a solid body imo if we're talking tone wise
i cant read apparently, thought you said hollow vs solid
big diff between that
Goated model
A semi hollow (in my opinion) gives you a fuller sound. I absolutely love hollows and semi hollows, and would recommend those for all reasons except:
- That higher quality sound will be lost in any sort of fuzz/overdrive
- Obviously a bit more of a hassle to transport, merely due to slightly bulkier case
if not then what guitars would u rec
ES-335s and it's variants (artcores, mij copies) are solid choices among blues players
these are the only ones available at my area im not really sure how different they are from one another
but they also have gretsch
they have these brands available im open to others if you guys suggest it more just not the expensive expensive brand huhu
335 and 345 are almost the same, the 345 has varitone which is a fancy EQ switch. The 339 is smaller than the 335/345
actually i already bought the emperor but so far all of the ones they're giving are damaged so i requested for a cancelation of the transaction as i didnt bring the guitar home yet huhu
