heyy i was wondering how to set up a rehearsal space for my band and what to get, we're all beginners and don't have a ton of money to blow on premium equipment, what would be the essentials?

some bands have dedicated rehearsal spaces they pay for bc one reason or another, some need recording and demo equipment

#

some need extra sound proof

#

some dont have a garage or basement so need to rent a space for everyone to play

#

bottom line is

#

all a rehearsal room needs is to allow u to play

My band just practices in a living room most the time

Storage units (given proper ventilation etc) and similar spaces are also another viable option if located in an area where a ton of noise doesn't make a difference. Here in Athens there's plenty of such DIY spaces, we have entire buildings full to the brim with bands. Cost wise it's about 150eur/month split amongst ~10+ people in 3-4 bands so rent and utilities don't cost much per person

#

Note that this cost doesn't include all the gear you'll need in said room, this just has to do with renting the space itself

i already have a space, i just wanna get a general idea of what to buy

Thick carpets and a mini fridge

A general room mic would be good though so you can easily record your ideas

the only purpose of a rehearsal space is to allow the players to play together

#

u buy what u need

#

if u can just set up in a space and play together as is with no issues then u dont need to buy anything

#

u said ur all beginners, so if anything all u need is to get good
