tubescreamer/overdrive -> 5150 -> v30 cab ... done
yo ty what u mean by 5150
and 30v cab am pretty new into tone creating HAHA
something like a mesa oversized cabinet with V30 speakers ... most basic for metal
?
maybe i think so
there must be something like a v30 or a greenback in there
don't use the 121 mic though ... maybe as a secondary mic ... a 57 dynamic works best for metal
this perhaps
those are my settings so far
should i change smth
yeah .. put the mic just next to the center so on the edge of the black dot
and I would not add room at first ... just dry and maybe later try if adding a little room hels
also ...the Skreamer ... drive at 0 ... volume at 100% ... basically creating a clean boost to tighten up the low end
and I would ditch the eq ... just overcomplicates things
then ... the biggest step ... using your ears and tweaking the amp EQ ๐
tysm bro!
wdym by room hels tho
and what is the vlack dot
so liek this?
this is the dry /room balance slider
except move it one position over to the right
not dead on the speaker cap but next to it
like in the music
hang on
i think it was the othjer ,ached cabbinet
most guitars that you ever heard on a record were closemic'ed only
yea it was this mathced cab
i re moved it
I think GR also has an IR loader ... makes things way easier
whats an ir loader
ohhhhhh
in a DAW you could load an external IR loader too of course
i dont think we have bro lol
but it sounds way better tydm lolllllll
o use an impulse response (IR) loader in Guitar Rig 6, load the Reflector reverb component, turn off the cabinet, and click the center of the Reflector module to browse and load your IR file. You can then adjust the mix to 100% and optionally enable the "matched cabinet" setting to blend the two or continue with a fully IR-based sound.
Step-by-step guide
Open Guitar Rig 6 and select the Reverb section in your component rack.
Choose the Reflector option to load the IR module.
Turn off the matched cabinet by selecting the cabinet icon and switching it to the "off" position.
Click the center of the Reflector module to open a browser window.
Navigate to your IR file (e.g., a .wav file) and load it.
Set the Mix control to 100% to ensure the IR is the only sound source from this module.
Optional: Blend with a cabinet: If you still want to hear the cabinet's sound, click the "matched cabinet" setting on the Reflector module to turn it back on. This will blend the IR with the cabinet's sound.
AI answer
