Hello! I'm in a 4 piece rock band in which im the only guitarist. I'm struggling to get a "full" sound when we're playing live - especially when im not playing straight power chords. I only have access to one amp so I cant spilt the signal and dual track in that sense. Any suggestions on what I could could do effects wise, or otherwise, to achieve this?

This might sound wierd and there are other things that will help as well but adjust the amp settings of the bass player

#

U can also use fx like chorus compressors and reverbs also ik some ppl use a flanger on really low settings and also u could try an eq pedal

How so with the bass exactly? aside from making it louder?

The guitar can be hidden behind the bass at times and also the bass can be used to make the guitar sound more full it’s all about adjusting the eq it’s not about volume for example most Iron Maiden songs sound empty on the guitar if u were to remove the bass

#

Idk what ur mix currently is so I can’t say exactly what has to be done

In my band my guitar was sounding abit empty and was blending in w the bass and other guitar my fix was to turn up the treble on my guitar but that was my mix urs is different

Eq pedals r very useful for this

What u have to do is listen for the areas that u want ur tone to come through abit more while playing and adjust those settings while u play this might involve adjusting the bass players settings if they have certain frequencies coming through over u

not sure what your asking cause bass+guitar usually makes a full sound, but if you feel like your guitar is not full in the sense as it in its not as present or in front of the mix maybe some more mids would help. especially if solo for cutting through mix
