I’d like to know if there is any real difference between a Squier Jazzmaster and a Fender American Professional. I usually do some amateur recordings with my band, and we sometimes play in bars for smaller audiences, so I’ve never owned any brand-name guitars. Would a Squier be good enough for me in this case?
#Is there any significant difference between Squiers and American Professionals?

Squier cheaper but idk if fender better fender even makes squier so idk
This comparison is like a Honda civic vs a Honda S2000: the S2000 is a beast that can go brrrr and looks flashy and cool, but the honda civic is also very reliable and really good
My point with this comparison is that they’re both very reliable guitars. In my opinion, the majority of people have no reason to go above a squier classic vibe/vintage modified, but even if you get an American Professional, it’s gonna be a pretty damn good guitar.
Though there is one thing you should always know: price never determines quality in ANY situation . For example, a classic vibe jazzmaster costs like $499 today (buy it used? Sub $300) and an american professional costs $1850 (and still retains a lot of that used, but me forgor). The American professional is that much more expensive not because it’s “$1350 better”, but because it has the fender name and the Made In America logo slapped on it. It’s like buying a Coach bag over a regular ass walmart bag.
It’s why I tell so many people to get a Squier Classic Vibe/Paranormal/Vintage Modified (or if they’re willing to buy international, get harley benton Vintage/Tribute/Fusion/Deluxe/Some Other Picks) and don’t get any higher: you’re not here to buy a collectible, but you’re here to buy a guitar
Ok thank you for listening to my mildly warm takes
play both at a guitar center. if the difference is worth it to you, then buy the fender. if not, buy the squire
^Yeah nothing beats playing in person
Except if your name is harley benton then you can only order from thomann or reverb like a LOSER /j
i think most people will find that they can barely tell the difference, certainly not to the extent of 1000+ usd difference
Exactly my point
but some people can and do so its really a subjective thing
if your buying a harely benton you cant really be picky in that price range anyways so who cares
Fair enough
if ur asking this just get a classic vibe jazzmaster bro
Ppl keep saying that it looks good like its the same flippin model
It’s to justify that buying a fender actually means something (it doesn’t)
Yea its like buying a gibson jus buy a epiphone
Most sane gibson player (in debt)
