12/18 news notifications this month have been boosts :/
Don't wanna mute the channel, 'cause not every actual notification sent in it has the ping attached, but also 2:1 meaningless automated news messages for every actual news post.

could they go in a different channel, or like have all the actual news posts have a ping attached or smth

good idea. seperate them into two channels, one can be called just straight up boosts, and one can be news/announcements
