there's no difference other than the inlay on tim's model
basically just paying the signature model tax
its aesthetics.
there are differences apparently the mic sounds different but i havent looked into it
electronics are better so the tim henson model might be better
but you can use eq to make some magic happen, clarity and shit i gonna vary tho
they are the same instrument
2 of any of these wont sound identical, because they are guitars and made of natural products
but no.. the 'electronics' arent better..
@ebon burrow you can read about the differences from someone that has experience with both here https://www.reddit.com/r/polyphia/comments/18b4t7e/ibanez_frh10n_vs_ibanez_tod10n_tim_henson/

Tysm and the neck is the same ? I don’t understand Ibanez graphics 😓
please mentally remove the paint, and inlays and pickup
at this point, the wood is similar
i say similar, because, these are made from the same pattern
and finished, by people, hand sanding
the guitars are the same
they get finished differently
one gets inlays
Yeah yeah I know but maybe Tim wanted an other type of neck, like a thinner one ?
they have similar pickup systems. likely the same piezo elements
please read
the instruments are the same
if you want a thinner neck, these have the same necks
you wont play either and think "i need a thinner neck"
these are nylon string guitars, but more like the "fusion" ones
if you know what you want? play both and see if this feels like you want
otherwise, the necks are the same
you either want the aesthetics of the henson one, or you dont
i dont think you wouldnt notice/care about the electronics, because, neither is really inerently "better"
its likely the same pickup element and the henson has a fishman preamp
i wouldnt spend the extra money for a fishman preamp, personally, having played many fishman preamps and non-fishman preamps
i would much prefer a simple, actual acoustic nylon string
if you want the sound of a nylon string and the feel of not a nylon string, i suggest looking at the cordoba fusion models. most companies make some kind of 14 fret joint, rounder radius, more narrow spaced acoustic/electric shapes nylon string neck/build, now
they are not... Tim uses Fishman electronics and the normal ibanez doesnt, its different
i owned a tod10n and i notice a difference
up here is the document i shared with the differences in the electronics #1326531668466466836 message
its not in the physical build. any 2 TOD10N's can have the neck shaped a bit different or feel a bit different, because of manufacturing and wood being a natural product
neither is inherently "better"
the cost of the tin henson one is mostly in the name tim henson
and the extra work on the inlays
by all means, no one is saying "these are identical".. there's tangible, notable reasons why the henson one is more $$.. but i do not think its worth the extra money. and if someone plays both and disagrees, or just wants the black on with the inlays, thats fine
