@dire zealot I think Red means the HB JA has P90s, and the G4M 638 has humbuckers.
It's up to you what pickups sound right to you. P90s are single coils that just sound thicker and dirtier. The Humbuckers on the G4M should be your standard mid-range type.
Maybe look at demos of both guitars and decide based on that
