Whenever I find a good guitar people tell me that the floyd rose is pretty shitty. What are some keypoints to find out if they are bad?

what series they are, what materials they’re made of
OFRs and Lockmeisters are cream of the crop, then you have Gotoh, then FR1000s, then Specials. licensed floyds can be good or awful depending on the manufacturer
ESP Sinclair bridges are pretty good, but they’re also a PITA because the route is slightly different to an OFR
Jackson lisenced floyds are ass

yea basically just avoid guitars if the specs read out "Licensed Floyd" or "Floyd Special"

because fr sells their license to anyone with the money
but most licensed ones are ass

If it says "Original Floyd Rose", "Schaller Lockmeister", "Schaller 2" or "Gotoh 1996T" or a branded version of the above, it's good
If it says "Floyd Rose 1000" it is good, but the arm collar sucks
If it says anything else, avoid or approach with caution
