hey friends! looking for tips on acoustic steel string recording setups. Currently I only have an SM58 and I would like to get some gear for higher quality recording. I find the sm58 alone leads to muddy lows and just generally not a very clear and crisp recording- what would you recommend I buy for a sensible recording setup? I'm definitely willing to throw a little money around but I figure I can probably get something pretty good sounding without breaking the bank- I definitely want to get some gear that is going to find other uses though (recording amps, vox, etc.) so I wanna keep that in mind. For reference also the kind of music I currently want to record is generally guitar-only folk music (john fahey and nick drake big inspos). ty for any advice!
