#Semi John Mayer inspired pedalboard (questions and concerns)

PEDALS I'M MISSING:

  • Dedicated TS (selling sunset for it)
  • Octaver
  • Pre-amp / Cab Sim
  • Wah/volume/expression
  • Tuner

As you can see, the OD section, clean boost, and the modulation are very JM, but I have a few questions.

Questions / Concerns (feel free to comment or recommend on them):

1.) For the sunset, I have my eyes on the Bonsai, it's sweet having all those TS effects for $249 + the sunset is redundant in the board (other effects wont be used anyways) so i'm selling it. Anyone know better options?|

2.) For the Pre-amp / Cab Sim, I have no idea which one to get honestly. I've heard good about the ACS1. I did plan on getting the Peace Hill TRJM, but I think that would be too expensive + I need to find a cab for that too. Which would you all pick?

3.) For the octave pedal, if I remember JM uses the OC-3, but in terms of budget and versatility, which would yall pick? (i'm not only looking for the JM tone, so if something can get his tone, and has better versatility over the oc-3, thats def the choice)

4.) As for the Wah / Volume / Expression and the Tuner pedals, i'm dead set in getting the ones on the board (hotone soul press II and poly tune mini noir)

5.) For the placement of the Q-Tron, I'm quite confused in that. If I recall, he does it in this order:
Klon -> Qtron -> Katana -> Ts10 -> Octave.
I don't know where he places it when using the BB + I don't have a second Katana.

6.) Was also thinking of getting a noise gate, I think the Rowin's noise gate would suffice.

**7.) **Can anyone help me dial-in the settings for these pedals? It's a lot to ask for but I hope somebody can:

  • Sunset (temporarily) using the texas setting to replicate the TS10
  • Silver Horse (klone)
  • Timeline ( for that slapback)
  • Bigsky (no clue on his reverb settings honestly)

8.) Feel free to roast the signal chain or better it

9.) Pretty much dead set on this but, In the future i'm buying a Silver Sky, possibly the black tee or tungsten colorway. Anyone disagree?
