I got an electric guitar and amp for my 18th birthday, I completed a lot lessons on SimpleGuitar but I am having hard time physically remembering where which string is (I hold down 3rd B fret and play G string for example

I would appreciate if you guys gave me any tips or tell me about any useful exercises so I could really practice it

I started when i was 18 too. Repetition, and writing, sketching, making any form of notes for yourself is really helpful
