I went Option 2 with a Boss ME-90. Already have speakers, don't need yet another amp, has Boss Tone Studio similar to Katana for programming and exchanging patches. Can plug into a PA, or just bring a PA speaker instead of a cab, if I'm playing outside of the house. Already has foot switches if I want to use it like a "normal" pedalboard

muti FX pedal, because it does EVERYTHING that both of those other options does.

#

think of something like the Neural Quad Cortexc

#

or Line6 Helix

#

cheaper ones then

#

im just saying

The ME-90 is set up so that you choose a bank and 1 of 4 patches (like bank 1, patch 2). So you could program your bank(s) to match up with your set.

While you're within a bank, all the different patches are just one foot switch away, so you can change from patch 1 to patch 2, 3, 4 etc with just one tap of a foot switch.

On the individual patch there's a ctrl foot switch, so you can program the Ctrl switch to activate further effects like modulation or drives. So for one song, you could leave it on a single patch, and then kick on the modulation or drive for your lead sound or whatever

I could make a video for you if you want to understand it further

#

Yeah just let me know 👍 happy to knock out a quick 1 or 2 minute video since no one ever explains these things

#

I feel like the learning curve is actually lower

#

Let me knock together a video of what I mean, the manual mode is great

#

Hopefully that helps

I think there's 9 that can't be changed, P1-P9 (so 9x4 = 36 patches) and then 9 that can be programmed as you like, U1-U9 (so another 36 patches)
