Going to buy a Kramer assault plus and as the title says it's my first experience with a Floyd.
Since I'm scared about messing everything up I would really appreciate some useful tips on what to/not to do

Floyd Rose 1000 is considered the baseline quality Floyd you should look for so yes

But FR-1000 is fine. Just avoid Floyd Rose Licensed or Floyd Rose Special.
