Idk much but I just bought a squier affinity telecaster deluxe for $260 new for my first guitar. Honestly kinda depends on what you're wanting out of it.

2x humbuckler setup was what I wanted. So I opted for that over other choices. Also heard good things about Yamaha Pacificas you can find for $120 or so.

Modern Affinity Teles/Strats are great. Squiers seem to have got a bad reputation from people who used them back in the early '00s, or who accidentally bought Bullets.

Squires are pretty good now. Even the bullets aren't all that bad considering they are so cheap.

definetly look at the harley benton fusion series

or you could get a hella cheap guitar and get seymore duncan P rails

P rails can imitate most kinds of piclups really well
