we both have starbound on steam and when i invite him thru steam it just kicks him back to main menu. we tried inviting through game name and that did nothing as well. doing some research its looking like the only way to play at this point is to direct connect thru ip and port but never gives us an option to direct connect. any help would be greatly appreciated as we are both eager to play this game...Thank you in advance

do you have the same mods installed, and what does it say when it kicks them back to the main menu? do you have 'enable assets mismatch' enabled in the options menu?
