apparently the moth traps work on the ship but i can't turn on the lamps and i can't tell if they work, do i need to do anything for them to work right?

They run on an internal timer that is checked against the Universe Time. Enough time has passed and silk will be made, showing the compartments filled. Interact with the [E] key to gather it.

Oh I've had this before. Literally just dock to a planet and they should work
