you need to complete heiests with the mercs who give reveal points.
"grants reveal" or whatever, it'll give you +1 reveal point (you still need to pay for the reveal lol)
I just finished two with each of them and go no additional reveals
and the barber dude has none left either
and did proper finish, grabbed the relic and whatnot, not grabbed some chests and left.

Jesus christ, i just went through a contract where I opened two small chests and made my way to a rewards room near the objective, killed the monsters in the reward room and was somehow at 90% alert

imo spellsling contagion drain is the best start you can possibly get, then after that self cast contagion drain in yellows. otherwise pretty much every contagion drain build looks the same.
the big question mostly is do you go for ci/low life, or do you go for glancing blows.

found out two things
- the "coin shower" are rogue's markers.
- for a contagion drain setup, essence drain is considered as getting the kills, not contagion.

they are real infrequent. Blueprints are worse though, id say 1 every 50+ maps
@mighty nest you can drop it on the floor in a map/act and just leave it there; you'll get it again later from a cache in the normal way

you may need to walk away and walk back up to it for the thingy to show
or it may be irreversibly bugged

lockdown is when the alert level reaches max
and the timer is done
the end reward gets closed
and the chests are closed aswell
but depending on the heist char you may be able to open them after lockdown

normal heists are just one "wing", yeah
green contracts are quest ones; they don't reward markers, but they give more xp to the rogue and progress their story; also may be needed to level up their skills past a certain point? unsure on that

alternatively, they test it extensively, but shit's complicated (even AAA studios release games with horrific bugs) and they can't catch everything. if you want a less buggy experience, come back in a week 🤷

and I can do high tier red maps fine but mid tier heists consistently one shot me through 4k hp/5,6k mana with mom/ arcane cloak
well, the idea is to not kill mobs even during the escape portion if you can help it; there's a fixed number of mobs alive at one time, so if you kill one early in the escape, another will spawn behind a later door, contributing to the oneshots when you open it
some way to phase or teleport, or a decoy totem or void sphere, helps bypass or draw out the mobs behind doors

Summoner / necro i switch my minion gems from feeding to meat shield helps a lot , may setup to have a quick switch on weapon swap late game. But you would have to do this for golems/specters as well or turn them off till lockdown

different contract types (like, the skill needed for them, engineering vs lockpicking, etc.) have different big chest types inside; off the top of my head, brute force is rare weapons, lockpicking is currency, engineering is uniques or maps...

one of the E gems (enlighten or enhance, I always get them mixed up) gives +gem quality; you can combine that with one or more different ways to boost support gem level, or Dialla's Malefaction unique which gives +10% qual to socketed gems
i assume it doesnt include enhance

frustrating af when you're on lockdown timer and when escaping
worst are the mind control and the vent crawling ones
the vent guy needs to kill someone before pulling the lever inside, so if enemies are out of place, the guy just stands next to the lever til the end of time
its frustrating that this guys are not able to start a league without big problems
yeah noticed it too, a way i work around that ai problem is i backtrack a little until the crew member starts following me again.
This issue mostly happens when i click on doors and they are far away, so i just wait until they are close before doing it

I tried that for the vents issue. Reset and went back to attempt opening the door again, the dude still stands next to the lever and does nothing. Happens most often when the guards on the other side of the door are alarmed
The vent crawling is scripted to stealth kill someone on the other side and then pull the lever, so if the guard walks away/despawns etc. the script will be janked
same with the mind control guy

when you find your first trinket Curio room

green missions progress quest lines for your individual rogues, but I haven't seen anything come out of them yet

I have spent a total around 6k marks on a 55lvl grand heist
i personally feel like doing anything other than opening wings is a waste of marks
and you should always use a high level gianna to reveal because she can reduce the price by 20-35% (maybe more)
their goal was like "grand heist once for every 12 normal heists"
you want to unlock everything, the side thingies have 2 chests each and in a normal grand heist you get the main reward +4 extra chests
I'm just leaving my grand heists until I level the NPCs up. Or do the grand heists give tons of xp?
in my experience, each wing gives around 3x the xp of a normal contract per NPC
slightly lower, around x2.5 times the xp ish
got ~750 when one contract gives ~300

Ok maybe I will do the grand heists. Hows the loot in them? Are you heavily limited by the alert?
technically since each wing gives xp individually, they give xp 9 times instead of once, compared to normal contracts
if you have 3 wing blueprint
6 times if its a 2 wing one
In Grand heists you have 3 Chars and thus can reduce alert gained subtsantially. But, you usually dont Take the small chests and instead Take several big chests + the final reward
And If you Roll the Map you can get "Killing guards reduces the alert Level" as affix

It seems this league Difficulty/Reward balance is off. The fact you loose all your items, XP, heist coins, time when you die is too much

When you die you loose XP. But I mean Heists are as long as a map to walk through

Ok is it intended that the game defaults to highlighting the portal when you enter a heist? I ended up immediately clicking the portal back to the harbour as soon as I'm loaded into the heist. There's no way back in.
I think they said they would change it to have a confirmation before returning.

I love this league I really do. And I'm having a lot of fun.
But it said that the barriers to entry right now are so bugged. A lot of people are getting bugs on the last doors of heists. Some people can't even get into their grand heists because of crashes. And then other people aren't even able to find blueprints.
Sucks cuz I want to play more but I feel like I have to step away from the game until they patch it at least
I've seen some people say running away and coming back but that doesn't seem to work for the bug doors were the icon disappears. It seems to have something to do with not having the right type of rogue to open the door. For example I brought to Tullina cuz she filled all three prerequisites. But the final door was an engineering door and she can't open that
I've also seen other people say that the doors are just bugged even if they have the right person. I'd say if you're going to try to run Grand heights right now. Check what the final door is and make sure one of your robes has that ability. I've been told you can see the final door on the blueprints. I have yet to find a blueprint so I can't confirm this

I mean you can try I don't know if killing yourself will allow you to re-enter and reset it. In mine I waited for 5 minutes when all the way to the beginning and came back. Left and re-entered and nothing reset the door. also it showed me the loot I could click on it past the door just not pick it up. So the bug thinks the door is open but never opens it.
I think that's why the icon disappears because the game assumes that you've opened the door even though it hasn't and the wall is still blocking you.

Is anyone here consistenly able to complete any grand heists? I have done 5 of which 2 crashed and 3 had doors that wouldnt open at the end before the last room

appearently i just found out u can bring contraband iteems to the starting area where the portal is to remove contraband without ending the heist
just found 1 ex and was ready to leave since i didn't wanna risk it
but right when i climbed the staircase, contraband was removed and i could return to the heist without fear of losing the items

On a 20% alch and go map I will see an average of five to six coin drops. I assume each of these coin drops also has a chance to have either a contract or a blueprint. Some maps I will get two to three contracts. However this is like once every five maps.

I think I cracked it, contracts have to be 68+ for 68+ grand heists
makes sense, which sucks since all the contracts you can buy stop at 67 lol
not that it matters much, since the loot that comes from the 67s is significant enough to do what you want

i wish id find some map grand heists, but no luck thus far

which had 1200 evade, 2 high resists, and +139 life lol

there is great gear and stuff in the GH... just wish they would be more frequent then like 1/15 or 1/20 maps if the rate is to be believed

you just have to learn how to get around the most dangerous stuff

leveling your rogues and equipping them helps too
what are you dying to
try not to kill stuff, for one; it makes more stuff spawn during your escape
a phasing or teleport skill helps to get past the mobs of enemies, or a decoy totem or void sphere to draw them through the doorway to thin them out a bit
less alert bar pre-lockdown = fewer enemies post-lockdown
if you are dying to just groups of mobs, like you would in a map or anything else, that suggests your defenses are just bad. I dont find the mobs any tougher that most maps. The deadly stuff is usually doorway choke points

i have about 3k life and 2k es on level 68, this should be enough
during lockdown there's a cap to the number of alive enemies in the instance; higher alert bar pre-lockdown seems to raise that cap. also killing enemies during the escape means more can spawn later, which contributes to the doorway mobs

My defenses arent even that good and I dont have much issue
armor is shit unless you stack a lot of it anyway
and my chest even prevents me from being res capped
yeah, stacking armor helps a ton though for this
im running at about 30k armor after flasking
