I've done a bunch of heists but I dunno how to unlock dudes
I got Huck from my first rng contract but otherwise nobody
Has anyone figures out if its worth it to alch contracts?

there's not a way to get rid of these atm right
only way to get rid of them is to complete the mission successfully. seems you're stuck with them until the contract drops again or GGG patches it

fracturing came from synthesis afaik (wasn't playing but from what I gathered during harvest)

they are tanky too, but their damage output is pretty crazy, and im at 3.4k hp and 75% all res, also some good armor

alright, well, I'm not attempting a grand heist again until GGG fixes their shit. Just lost a replica alpha's howl and about 40c worth of other stuff after spending 3k+ on a grand heist because it just up and crashed the instance on the way to the exit
I shouldn't've even attempted it after seeing people here complain about the crashes I guess but I had no performance issues with regular heists
havent crashed yet. done 2 grand heists
this was a level 70 one, alched
if that matters. My FPS dropped from 100+ down to about 20 by the time I got to the curio room

The little chests seem to have a much better reward to alert ratio than big chests.
yea you can open about 10 of them vs like 2 of the big ones
you can actually get all of the chests... if you don't kill any of the mobs on the way
makes me glad my build is a maxblock/spellblock one
you kinda have to kill mobs sometimes bc the rogue AI gets stuck on them

Never die in the acts, always ripping on heists
gear helps a bit but also just being more careful around the doors enemies stack behind helps a lot too
yea if you dont have a very safe build like totems id say its super rippy so far
esp when theres 10 lazer boys camping a door
4k life max block / end charges. i still get 1 shot
I was getting oneshot a ton when I was at 2.5kES, not-quite-capped resists, and only 60/30 block with my build, but I'm at 4.7k ES, capped resists, 74/64 block and can facetank them at 30 levels higher than the maps I was getting oneshot
Ah ok, maybe im not being careful enough, ripping on escape usually
other tips would be phase run + teleport/dash skill behind them if you come to one of those doors
i think i finally noticed why heists have so much difficulty
the items for your allies in heist can do things like grant auras lol
pretty soon you can run around with 14 auras <~<

yeah, I'm running withering step and blink arrow and they really help with heists (re: what tarlom said)
if it's at the doors that have tons of mobs stacked behind them, decoy totem might help too
drop it while out of their LOS to bait their attack then phase/dash/tele past them
It's been a while since I've seen the next heist quest: Contract grocery list. Do we know what spawns them?
whats the minimum on large cluster jewels? 8?
I think you only get them from the smuggler's caches in acts/maps @pearl fossil
could be. I haven't seen one of those in a long while.
i find whatever one it is that has the mechanical stuff to be the most deadly

one chance only is a terrible design for something that is handled server side
doesnt help that heists are so strong that even d/cing for like 2 seconds results in death
I think most of the performance issues are due to the infinitely spawning reinforcement mobs during escape phase

you need insane damage to really deal with heist of equal level
and ED doesnt hit that point, basically ever
tbh you don't really need much damage at all to heist if you have any combination of tankiness, phasing, teleports, and CC

Did they change how abyss cracks work? Most of the time, they stop and just puke monsters and no chest at the end.

only way I know is to leave and re-enter, but if you do that you may as well use your hideout stash while you're out

I literally kill enemies ONLY when they prevent my dude from opening something and just take chests and I still go on lockdown half way through the map

generally you have to choose between opening the big chests with the specific reward type and a few small chests vs opening a lot of small chests
generally you have to wai till they fix fucking league

this alert bar is one of most antifun pressuring things tbh
you have to keep in mind how far you have to go to the goal and leave yourself some wiggle room on the alert bar; once you get near to filling it up, you do stop opening chests
but you can open a fair few before reaching that point
the timer, the damage reduction, the 4000 mobs behind small doors prepared with skills dirrectly on door, traps like in fucking lab
entire league is stresfull

if you die before triggering the alarm you can still go back in, but if you accidentally portal out of the contract you lose it ???

Yeah, it's mainly to run Heists. This is to make sure that you can't just go into a Heist, open all the chests and leave without stealing the artifact because you'll run out of coins to run further Heists.
though sometimes you may want to do ^ anyway, if you find something especially good before reaching the end

ah, so is the goal to raise your alert level high but not to max it?
it's also used for upgrading your blueprints. you can unlock additional rooms, escape roots, and entire wings with rogue's markers
don't kill stuff unless you have to, don't aggro stuff unless you have to, open as many chests as you can while still completing the heist, skip the big chests if they have a not-useful reward type
Can the 'normal' chests in the Heists contain anything?
often there's a patrolling group or unique that you can easily avoid if you just take a moment to watch their movement pattern
Like, is there a chance for normal chests to contain Breach items?
though given how imba the alert system is right now it seems kind of pointless to unlock additional wings on blueprints until you have really well decked out rogues
so be tactful, because the heist i did only had like 1 route with mobs all the way there, idk how i don't kill them lol
my flame dash itself killed them lol
their detection radius is smaller than normal; often you can go through a room and only aggro the enemies on one side of the room, and not the other side
hmm alright
and avoiding dead ends without a chest to open avoids the mobs there
also keep in mind that when the alarm bar fills, you still have like 15-30 seconds to grab stuff before lockdown actually happens
so sometimes it makes sense to open the end room, backtrack to grab a chest, then beeline for the goal chest while the timer's on
I think that killing the partols is the thing that causes the alert level to spike.
there are traps that cause your alert to spike too
opening chests also increases the bar some
a lot for the big chests, which is why you only open those if the type is actually good
If you're not on a Grand Heist, is it even worth it to go for the reward at the end instead of just opening all the chests?

like I said earlier, sometimes you'll pick up something really good and want to leave immediately just to be sure you don't die and lose it, but that should be the exception rather than the rule

I was getting like 5xp ish on lvl 3 heists and like 50ish on lvl 40 heists

why do heists feel like you're either fine, or getting 1 shot. no in between

I don't think so. Once you leave the little foyer area, the portal is gone
no its not. if you die befor the final alarm you can go back in
if you die it puts you to the harbor. if you take the portal, the portal is gone.
I failed the green heist from the lockpick and I am stuck with "The Kiss Goodnight" in my inventory and can't get rid of it

step 1: Buy a contract
step 2: Activate it and go in
Step 3: Walk out, don't die, but walk out.
Step 4: Realization dawns.
maybe die and walk out have different impacts
that being said, if you die, it drops all the stuff on the floor, so that method isn't going to help
walking out definitely closes the portal.
Leaving willingly closes the portal, if you die before lockdown you can walk in again, if you die during lockdown the portal closes
or at least it did on day 1. if they patched it, great, because accidentally clicking the portal before you can even enter the main heist area sucked
If you just walk out with contraband to the "safe zone" the contraband tag gets removed and you can go back in to try and steal the target without having to worry about dropping your loot.. or so I've heard

But many people insist on Clearing everything and then raise too much alert

seems to be mostly spells, with some physical projectiles, from what I've seen

when doing a normal heist, your rogue will randomly bring a tag along character who will join if you complete the heist

They usually dont instantly Attack, so what you can do is let then start attacking and then dash through
If you dont Dash straight but at an angle they mostly miss you
a phasing flask helps a ton
phase run too, especially if you use frenzy charges

also, after i failed one mission for karst, that one where we get "The kiss godnight" item, i can't also remove it from my eq, not even destroy.

WTF is with unlimited mob in heist? those mob stacking behind the door , few seconds and the room is fill with 100+ robots

t1 life on accessories is available (and not too uncommon) at ilvl40 now

even in trying to just flee with a mix of dash and flasks, i turn a corner and 100 to 0 a bit too often
for an almost pure defense build
maps on the other hand are a brisk stroll
still think your life and defenses are way low for your level though

10k armor without flask is pretty high
and im capped (well overcapped) on all resists
with flask i think im at nearly 30k armor?
but i shouldnt be able to facetank Kivata (sp?) but die to trash in heist lol

i keep hearing stuff about apparently being able to get guaranteed tabula rasa from a hesit, is this true?
so maybe my life is a bit too low for 65s? but my defenses are definately not
and i still think 3.8k* is enough for those
heist seems to have a number of super odd design decisions
I have no trouble with heists at around ilvl 77 with no investment more or less
some of the skills like brute forcing just do their thing and no interrupable cast time, there's some overlap in thief perks (like one of them is a discount on blueprints, and the other is the same discount on blueprints...and also gives something else?), mobs stacking up behind doors is - a odd decision to put it lightly, and door opening animation time is super variable.

you just need to not die
and with all the flasks and trickster defenses i basically never die
not doing too bad with toxic rain pf either
heist rares seem to have a predisposition to aura mods

heists are way easier if you just don't fight/kill the mobs
you can kite them, or if you're tanky enough just eat them
they don't give alert until they die, so you can open more chests by not killing them

when a bunch of locked doors pop up in the way of your retreat
and you deal with like 50+ mobs while waiting for whoever to open the door
yeah, it's safer to just kill the mobs if you're stuck at a locked door
you'll rarely have to fight some of them there, but usually the ones that'll be on you at that point will be fewer and not too strong. in most cases you can just keep them off the rogue doing a job
it's increasingly non-viable to try and just dodge them the higher you go, and as density gets larger.
for the ones behind a door, there's a lot of ways to get around them. phase run + dashes/teleports/etc., decoy totem to bait their big attack and go during their 'cooldown', etc.

it's fine in leveling but it turns into a total shitshow in maps and trying to dash behind them becomes uh, non viable.
I couldn't complete a single heist successfully pre-60
but once I started mapping they got way easier as my build filled out more and I got more ES/defenses
i shudder to imagine what red hesits look like
highest one I've done is like 76 I think? and it wasn't too bad
it was 3.8k (well, 3897 to be exact)
that said, my build is kind of almost all-in on defense
mine is as well though, but not ES
that said, im pushing something like 70% physical reduction
also, i find myself dying in the same type of heist
so perhaps its that map type lol
the one with all the mecha
that's heavily spellbased damage I've noticed
so phys reduction and armor and block isn't really gonna help much against it
well, still resist capped, but if resist cap and 4k hp isnt cutting it, im probably fucked lol
during leveling they're definitely super overkill
the damage seems a bit overtuned on the spells so resists won't help if you're getting hit by multiple at a time... which, behind a door, that's easily 10+ mobs
OMFG, 6 unques, 2 of them i needed, and died like a POS before beeing able to leave

i took like a 1.6k hp hit from a single rare in act 6 lol

its the weird ones that stand there stationary and shoot their hand-gun things at you

does the alert raise on kill increase as map tiers go up? Im in leveling heists and im seeing all the complaints about alerting just by kills but i dont have that at all
killing half the heist and my bar is up like 30% at most..
What the F. I just started a white grand heist and my whole alert bar filled from killing THREE screens. Not even opening one chest. Literally didnt have a chance to do ANYTHING

@mortal yarrow The thing is, as soon as the alert level got to half (about 5 seconds into the zone btw), I just started flame dashing through them but it still kept going higher and higher

yes, there is a bug that can happen in some grand heist. Unless you dont have a rouge with the required skill lvl

2 things I've noticed so far
You can leave the Heist portal by missclicking, and losing the contract.
And is not killing any enemies supposed to not give alert
ok so here is a small strat, pick up the major chests. speed run and unlock the last door for your objective, backtrack a little while keeping your alert level close to full. Start spam picking small chest without looting just activating and use your 30 seconds to keep taking small chests and run to the last room and grab item to get rid of the timer .
doesn't always works perfectly but at least you get max value
i alched this item, how is this possible? prefixes, 3 stats?

Ok. I think somewhere along the leveling up to mapping I missed a green contract. Done every single heist I can but some I cannot do as I don't have someone with the correct skill. Do I just need to grind out some act areas and hope for the green contract or will it unlock some point and I've had bad rng?

there's also some kind of reveal discount mechanic with two of the followers you can get but i dont understand it yet

not sure if this is bugged but i don't have the heist, i crashed the other day while trying to complete her quest line. I would like to somehow get rid of the ring, i don't have her quest anymore and i keep getting new quests for other members.

this seems like an especially bad league for on-death nukes
since you're supposedly meant to be sprinting for the exit, plus lots of narrow tunnels / no way to not step over corpses, plus super dense clusters of mobs waiting in doorways so it's hard to pick out if there are time bombs in the pack or not x_x
You can avoid some of them by Not opening certain chests. Because that opens hatches where guards can Pop Out. The skitterbots also only Spawn on some heists, you can usually See them patrolling when you get in
im nearly pure defense though and getting rocked in escaping so

Your alarm level should dictate the amount/difficulty of the mobs spawned after you grab the artifact. and it shouldn't be unlimited spawn unless you tripped the alarm.

the skitterbots are the death effect I can actually see since they make bright red flashes on the ground before exploding, but I've died in some of the other area types to things I couldn't see at all, still trying to figure out what to even look for

revealed all 3 wings + escape routes -> went into grand heist and there was no entrance to the wings from the "gathering room" after portal. quality gaming 🙂

i did before lvl 30, and then nothing until maps - but you could buy those for 1-2c in SC...

@pearl fossil rogues are introduced by specific other rogues. The first mission you do with rogue X will also give you rogue Y, first with Y will give you Z and so on.

They are also somewhat level gated but not as late as maps

They have different adjectives when they drop. Normal quality gems are "superior", alternate qualities have other words associated with them
(specifically Anomalous, Divergent, and Phantasmal)
are grand heists using the same mechanics as normal heists? as in try to get the relevant loot before the alarm goes off then run

so somehow when we go 2 in heist 60+ its seems even with phase run those dungs are so long that even with 0 opened chests we get meter to almost full when reaching tresor ?

Oh yea, making ARPG where you grind mobs, and then you create league where you don't kill mobs, or you have huge chunk of your player base play summoners, and they just randomly kill everything 😄
