When we were talking about ele hit ignite you mentioned fire penetration again after someone said it doesn't work with ignite

And besides it specifically states that penetration only applies to hits

Need today's gem post to finish planning what I'm personally going to try for league start, and then really need to test stuff in game to confirm it. If you check back on the guide in like 12 hours it will be ready to use for league start, but some things will still be educated guesses until I can test

I'm curious about Elusive mechanics and Withering Step. When you use a skill after Withering Step, it says it removes the buff. Does that include the Elusive it initially granted, anyone know?
You will have only one elusive, from withering step
so if you crit with assassin for example after that and refresh elusive, would that be a normal elusive or the amped version from withering step?
using a skill should only remove the wither aura and phasing
you can't refresh the withering elusive with a crit
only wither will remove and "refresh" an existing elusive
otherwise elusive has to expire before it can be regained
So if you have the node Mistwalker, pop Withering, and keep critting, you can maintain the amped up version of Elusive until theres nothing left to crit?

so if you are critting nothing happens until that elusive expires

I'm sure ggg reduced the stackability of fossils to 1, because their techstack did not have proper and safe handling for SOCKETABLE things that can stack
they changed that over time
exactly, that is why it was a last second decision to not do it at that time and do it now, that they have a safe way to do them. (i.e there could have been cases where if you use 1 fossil inside a resonator it would consume them all, and/or crash).

we'll see now but after poison nerf few leagues ago this was the case like you couldnt really count on applying a decent amount of poison so dps calculations pretty fucked up

I think the new gems are a good addition, as they give a boost, and define a behaviour at the same time
so you don't have to go in a menu a define a behaviour for each of your pets
and it solves the issue of "what if I temporarily want to change that behaviour and resume to the previous behaviour when done"

Something that’s definitely going to get a lot better is animate guardian (key word: better, not good). The biggest hold back of the build is that the guardian doesn’t fucking do anything, he just sits there for the majority of the time

The one thing that does work is Feeding Frenzy with Spiritual Command
You get attack speed from the feeding frenzy buff
The one thing that I was thinking about(and I guess it won't work because it would be op) to make 2l any minion + death mark, use death mark on boss and you will get inc. minion aka global dmg bonus
This should, however, work if you link "attack minion" gem like dominating blow
Just something that has "minion" tag to allow use of deathmark and something with "attack/spell" tag that you can actually use as your damage source
