I think the style of dedicating one merc for leveling is just have a level 22 merc to cover you before One With Nothing comes online.

because the to-hit roll is checked twice on crits, so accuracy is extra important for crit builds

first you have to hit, and crit (obviously)

then the game does another accuracy roll, and if that results in a miss, the crit is downgraded to a regular hit

dont think thats how it works, it just rolls accuracy and then crit, so a non-hit is automatically also a non-crit. If you go Vfos, you usually dont have a lot of dex, wich gives you usually a lot of accuracy, wich you are missing on a str build

and cant go resolute technique with a crit build

Surprisingly capable of taking on pretty rippy things ssince its best defensive layer is offense

I actually expect that the worst stuff would be things that make monsters tanky enough to resist freezes

That said I did grab some cold conversion + chain gloves (using a Hatred watcher's to make up the last 35%) to ditch hrimsorrow for more map clear. I think you could make the build more single target focused.

There's probably abreakpoint where it's better to not get chain and get more damage because each mine deletes anything it touches but I wasn't at that point yet

and ssome tankier anti-crit magic packs felt kinda bad

took a bit to chew through

from what I understand it does not give normal aura, but it's a pretty sick heal for 5 seconds with 10s cooldown (depending on how often the AI uses it, I haven't tested it)

when it comes to the amulet there are amazing options , depending on the build for example a chaos dot build can go for a +1 to all skill gems,+1 to all chaos skill gems, or dmg over time multi , or ppl go for unique amulets, at first +1 and high life,some res , chaos res , stuff like that is great
