I regen 50% of my hp/second, 90% res (61% chaos), and 75% phys damage reduction... and this thing two-shots me. Turns out when you're playing a build that's not great at dealing with bosses, it's worse if you stack a bunch of essences on it. Who knew!

Anyways, just gonna mention to you that, even with Eldritch Battery, Energy shield is still Energy Shield. And recharges because you haven't taken damage to it recently.

And the way you get a problem with skill costs with EB is usually also slapping on MoM since now that makes your ES take hits for you which means its recharge stops which means you have no ES available to spend.

the one any only chaos convert I got .. I put rogue exiles in, and I got the ones that cast the massive ice wall projectile at you, and it encases you in unwalkable ice and you can't blink out of it because it's too wide, and you just die from cold dot without being able to move, it's horrific

Oh, nono, I meant the map and Kirac Atlas points. Taking those, and Expedition are always the first ones for me, and I typically complete all non-unique maps by day 2 or 3. Tujen is just used for shit loads of currency. Occasionally you get divs from him, but he gives you loads of chaos and mid tier currency.

Gwen is good for early high level base types, after that, I just ignore her. Rog is pog once you get good at him, and Dannig is second best, next to Tujen, because his currency can just be turned into currency for any of the others at a cheaper rate.

It takes a bit of effort, but it really is worth the time.

Melee is not in a great spot for endgame, but for campaign and leveling it might honestly be a decent league. Basic playing around with the league mechanic crafting will probably give you access to some of the easiest campaign gearing you will ever have.

how do casual players make money? By selling smaller items. What did the pre-patch farming methods do? Crater the price of all the smaller items and lower uniques. Okay, you geared yourself up with budget gear easier than other leagues. I had a thought but I haven't done it myself but using 2x -explicit corpses will narrow the pool so you don't fracture mods you don't want .. and then a prefix or suffix chance corpse if both fractures are the same time

the tricky part is whether the tag pool for the affix you want is polluted or not, and how easy it is to target that mod specifically

those mods are what you want, then you want to add Hits Can't Be Evaded, on a good base, like Burnished or Battled Foil. (high crit/atk speed + crit multi implicit)

so, there's two main variants of DD right now that are popular. Self cast, which doesn't need crit

and Cast On Crit

Cast on Crit only requires that your weapon / attack is critting, then triggers things. So generally, people are using Lancing Steel of Spraying, to throw a pile of projectiles out, which all can crit. When those crit, they'll cast desecrate and then detonate dead of chaining.

That's why the weapon has to have a high crit chance

spell crit, is when you want spells to crit, but spells who crit (like freezing pulse/ice spear, etc) don't trigger Cast on Crit, since Cast on Crit triggers from crits on attacks, not spells.

Am I being dumb or is it currently impossible to craft Convoking Wands in the grave yard? Not in the list, item level is 72, the minion wand corpse was removed and there isn't a corpse to allow you to craft it as far as I can tell

the complaints that i've heard are:
-Can't opt out of league mechanic so the monsters are sometimes way too strong for your liking and you can't do much about it
-Loot drop rates are shit (this has been addressed in the hotfix)
-The corpse popup is annoying, and you can't dissmiss it, which interferes with looting (partially addressed in the hotfix since you can now grab it as a coffin and then drop the coffin. Still kinda annoying)
-A build I've been used previously has been nerfed now, the league is now unplayable
-Someone found a cheesy farming strat, the economy is ruined
-The cheese has been hotfixed and no longer possible, so now i can't do the cheese myself - the economy is ruined
