In this case, 0.1
There's also another table that lists all possible values
Both of them should display properly, but they don't
There's something odd going on between the call, the lookup and the read
mjolner is missing from http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Gavel ?
something in the tool chain can't handle accented character?
it's even in the source http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Gavel&action=edit
@clever cloak do you have links to these pages?
i don't get it π
did you mean innervate and blood rage?
@amber jay thefrz alreay mentioned it but those things are just using lua pattern to copy the things out of the semantic data on the page. It's really fixable by anyone as long you know the lua patterns a bit
@clever cloak Are you saying that if you do "preview source" the page displays correctly but when you save it it doesn't anymore?
If so it's an issue with caching. It will fix itself after a while
@grand magnet alright, thought they were issues with the extracted data.
Seems like they were fixed, so everything is fine now, ty.
Yeah, it's pretty much that
I was concerned when the null edits didn't update the page cause whenever a null edit is performed the bot checks the data

@TheLOLxd2#1019 Oh I did not see the custom css option in the preferences thx, but that "fixes" it only for me when I login. Why does the mobile wiki not default to a dark background most of the text is harder to read on a white background.
Looks like the custom css is not used on the mobile pages so making the background black does nothing for me π¦
try mobile.css
I can only edit common.css or hydradark.css
So we know that the desktop version uses common.css and hydradark.css. Does the mobile version only use mobile.css and nothing else?
I think so
Yes
@latent harness is helping out on the French Wiki and now a trusted(active) editors.

Thanks π
POE doesn't support french yet
Doesn't mean you can't play
You could know enough of other languages to play it passably
I played WoW in russian once and the only thing I misunderstood was global chat from other players
cause everything else is very spelled out
What's the interaction between VP and Shavronne's Revelation?
Essentially, does ES still regen with Shavronne's Revelation when Vaal Pact has been taken?
Found it, it does work
yes, same with those things that specify "es regen" like occultist on kill buff
Yeah, VP very specifically mentions life Regen
this page http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Unending_Hunger is wrong and i'm not sure how to fix it. the area increase only applies to minions area (source: http://poe.trade/search/omasisisoouani)
fixed
Bone Nova page is up
I think a page with atlas details needs to be made. I'll work on that some this league
The existing page seemed to be more about the expansiob
Elaborate?
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Projectile has a citation/cleanup needed but nothing on the discussion or any particular statement with "citation needed". Are those safe to remove?
Citation needed means there's some details that are specified by GGG that aren't normally known by observing the game
Yeah, I think it's safe to remove the citations required box
Done
I'll add other uniques added during breach league
Wrong place, nevermind
but uniques page version history needs to be updated
Confirmation on interaction with Tulfall and Malachai's Loop requested, please
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Category:Pages_needing_additional_references none of these have anything explaining what citations are they missing
Yeah
does the wiki work based on a base gamepedia provides
or is there someone writing extra code for our wiki specifically?
ideally any page with [citation needed] should be automatically listed here
while on the topic of references, is there any standard procedure when quoting non-official sources (like https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/3xsh77/how_is_it_that_projectile_damage_increases/cy7hbuj/ on the poison page) to ensure credibility?
What happens when a user deletes his comment?
o well there doesnt seem to be a page explaining its mechanics, especially if its true that it will drops that are not complted or adjactent under certain circumstances. also that unique maps ignore those stats too
@echo sedge You can use Template:Cite_web for unofficial sources. If the user deletes his comment, then it becomes a dead reference.
page broken? http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Trigger
what's broken?
broken?http://imgur.com/a/GoWF0
should work fine now
I'm triggered. :^)
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Cast_speed has lua error as well
they are gone after i did refresh π
that was quick then
getting a lot of errors again
btw, random question, does anyone else notice that like every single skill gem which could be purchased in act3 town (according to wiki) is wrong?
Elaborate?
tryin to expand the MoS to cover writing style since it seems to vary from page to page
pls help if you want
What you added is okay, but please at least get the ok first from Vinifera and myself, and possibly the other admins when editing guidelines.
These are good additions. Thanks @strange hawk!
Pls, add to wiki http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Barrows_Map
dropped divination card 'Call to the first ones' (1/5) (tier 1 talisman corrupted)
screenshot required ?
@steep trail You don't need to post a screenshot if you're sure of the drop location. Do you need help with updating the article?
The "Divination card" article appears to be broken. https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Divination_card
Looks like I have some talisman farming to do >:D
It does indeed.
seeing: Module Error: Too many results for search parameter "minion damage support". Consider using page parameter instead.
This is on Summon Raging Spirit
The divination card error seems to have been introduced by the edit(s) to Call to the First Ones
added a drop zone, added another one, removed that second one.
dunno what caused the problem...
Ok, fixed the SRS errors. added the page= parameter like the error suggested, and it looks fine now.
fixed divination card list as well
there was no "barrows" redirect to "barrows map". so added an alias.
also, note that Call to the First Ones is not on the divination card list. Isn't there a better way of searching these things than to list every single one?
there is a better way for all items except div cards for now
"Charged Storm Cloud deals 0 more Damage" on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Orb_of_Storms
as well as chains 0 times
can those be removed or do they mean anything?
Neither of those should be listed in the skill stats. They aren't shown in game. Paging @grand magnet
feel free to remove
"The Invader is exclusive to the Prophecy leagues. The only way to obtain it is to seal a prophecy with the same name."
i think this is wrong
i just got that prophecy
It is possible that the section on question hasn't been updated since prophecy
I think I might as well fix that message with a bot I'm sure a number of prophecies havent been updated
that would be great
the tornado shot wiki page seems broken
@fast swift Who should we ping with wiki bug reports?
No need to ping anyone really, they'll read this when they are about.
Looks like a backend issue anyway so I dunno how much power people in here have over it anyway
ah ok, any other place we can report this?
theres a thread on reddit as well people saying they have reported it to the site owners.
so basically just wait till gamepedia sort their shit out.
Ah is it a gamepedia issue. That sucks
curse are aware of this problem but they're on holidays and it's going to take some time to fix i guess
- it's a Sunday, Gamepedia team don't really work weekends
the issue should be fixed now
Yeah
Usually when a script breaks like that the bot's working behind the scenes or gamepedia's servers are down, or some other reason that's not fixable editor-side
Patience is pretty much the only solution
None of the elemental damage types have a list of uniques
The underlying issue should be resolved. If you come across any pages with the error still there, you can purge/null edit and it should be fixed. They should eventually fix themselves though, once the cache expires.
on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Point_Blank : "For reference, melee weapons distance range is 5 for one-handed and 6 for two-handed weapons, cold snap has an area of effect radius of 15." Could someone update this to reflect the melee range buff? I'm not sure what would be useful to compare it to.
Hi guys, were the SRS numbers updated to 2.5? It seems so, but just making sure
if you mean the monster stat section ignore it, psure thats what enemies get not you @warm matrix
@sullen lake
hai
i meant the srs minion damage ect from the gem
the only minion damage from the gem are in the monster section '
on the srs wiki page
they might be for enemies
ah i see
tbh i think that section should be removed from that page
ill never be able to calc what gems to use lol
because it confuses a lot of people
either go phys-> ele or go chaos
but i think not telling us the exact numbers is intended to prevent that sort of calculation lol
atm im at 8 auras
all 4 damage auras
is that worse than just focusing on one? it seems like it would be better damage having all 4
the thing is im not sure is that people say melee phys is better than ele focus, but ele focus would increase all 3 elemental auras, and 50% of the base fire damage, while melee phys would only increase the 50%phys 50%fire and the hatred aura, and now the poison damage from united in dream... hmm
There's this dude connor that's editing pages to remove information
irritating me in the process too
AND he's doing stuff wrong
ew
I hate him already
Okay, I need a list of uniques that grant a skill that doesn't have a skill gem correspondance
Thanks
there's been a few edits going back and forth on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Envy involving this guy
That section on the wiki page is for the skill gem
he also edits the related unique item
on any minion page, the skill gems summon a monster (or monsters) of a specific level, usually equal to the gem level
but it's not updated and max damage isn't probably correct to begin with
I think the current version of the page is the best it's been so far, perhaps that could be made into a standard template or something?
skills granted by items are not skill gems so empower and enhance do not work, I have no idea why this guy keeps removing this
and I eventually want to make a proper info box for non-skill gem skills it's mostly a matter of copying code i guess
Is there a good place to report drop locations for divination cards? I found a "The Spark and the Flame" in Plateau during a zana mission, and I've heard one other report of it dropping there as well.
take a screenshot, upload it somewhere, and edit the wiki putting the screen as reference; that would be about the best approach
Yeah, I'm Serpensort1a
Connor basically condenses the wiki, which isn't bad, but also removes relevant info.
Yeah, later today I'll work on active skills and skills that are unique to items
was the aps of srs changed in 2.1? as of 1.1.5 they were 1.628 according to rory. also where did this info come from? @grand magnet poe.db has a 1-30 list with the same values. perhaps we should renumber these similarly if we are going to keep them
having a list with level 4-90 is just going to be confusing to a player
A list of 4-90?
on the srs wiki page
it says "level" then lists from 4-90
a la the SRS you'd find in the wild
Datamined
poe.db uses level 1-30 instead of 4-90
it has the same values
the exact same values
except says a different level
1-30 is gem level of course
and 4-90 will be monster level because nothing cares about player level really
...
but what should the wiki say
that's what I keep saying
4-90 is monster level, 1-30 is player level
How so?
either: the wiki shouldnt have monster levels on the srs gem page
One is the spirit level and one is the gem level.
except we dont care about monster srs stats on the gem page
and poe.db claims the same data is actually for the player skill
exact same data
I can add a column that indicates level of SRS summoned and then people will understand
player summons sure
the totem's stats are based on enemy totem stats
but NOT srs stats that are written as if an enemy spawned them
only written as if the player spawned them
so 4-90 imo should go away
and be replaced with gem level if applicable
but i wanted to make sure everyone agreed that the way poe.db displayed the same data was correct and that its how we should change it
why
you seem to think i dont understand the situation
or you think well get a conflict on the page i guess
i think there needs to also be some text in that section mentioning how it was obtained.the out of date header thing isnt enough imo
it would be nice if we had a standard way to indicate datamined info
hi there
could some1 check this
tl;dr rampart was added to phys dmg reduction passives
but it buffs fortify while fortify reduces damage from all sources
all hit sources
not only phys
and we see no kintsugi/arctic armour near
yeah doesnt look like rampart should be there
it doesnt stack with that other stuff
fortify is reduced damage taken
so rampart is too
No idea how this works, or if this is even the right place, but could the info in this post https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/5cmzlq/questionwhat_happens_to_the_atlas_and_the_sextant/d9y9yh9/?st=ixpxonly&sh=109f60cc
be added to the info for the atlas page on the wiki? (http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Atlas_of_Worlds)
Make an account and edit the page, that's how editing the wiki generally works
if you need help with the syntax feel free to ask
Fixed
Ty
Could someone with more information in writing mechanics add the information from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsFKTJDws9Y to scorching ray page?
"Purge" is now one of the options on the "More" menu on all wikis
it's like adding ?action=purge at the end of a url
it forces the page to reload without any cached information
If this option isn't available let me know π
@jaunty wigeon there is a "Refresh" that does exactly the same and it's there for a very long time already
Hey give him some props, he made a cool button.
@MaiaTan#8264 props to Gamewidow. I am not part of the Curse Gamepedia team. I am only a community member/community contact.
Ah...
looks like http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Null's_Inclination can be offered by masters for 8c
Wiki says you can get Infinte Pursuit from Breachlords Domain only, Does that include random breaches also? I just got those from a breach in a map so was curious.
i get breach uniques from random map breachs occasionally yeah
we lack info about breaches, domains, breachlords and other related stuff, if someone could write down something about it that would be great
You can get the breach uniques from the breaches, not sure if they drop from the the monsters or the bosses there
since the bosses can also spawn in the breaches
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Oro's_Sacrifice
can be offered by masters (Catarina) for 8c
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Nomic's_Storm
Also can be offered for 5c. Proof needed?
@grand magnet I can also confirm that Breach uniques can drop from breaches. I've only had one drop so far. I wasn't able to determine whether it dropped from a Breachlord or some other monster.
@steep trail go for poe.trade, they are like <1
@twin oracle This is for the sake of having accurate information on the wiki, not for finding the best deals.
@Vinifera7#8772 my bad
I had a Xoph's Inception drop from a normal breach mob in a randomly encountered Xoph's breach. This would indicate that breach uniques do not only drop from Breachlords, but can drop from any breach matching their element; ie., you can get Xoph's uniques from Xoph breaches.
I thought that was common knowledge?
Omega_K2 wasn't sure and neither was I.
Darkshrine League isn't listed on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/League
Not sure if it is because DS was a 5 week event or not
Okay, thanks.
So there is a slight error on the wiki. Maybe not an error but a lack of information. The quest The Eternal Nightmare gives its stated gem rewards in Normal and Cruel after you activate the rapture device (completing the The King of Desire and The King of Fury quests). The reward in merc is correct as it is at the end of the mission (killing Malachi). When talking to Diala in highgate if you dont take the reward straight away you can see that it gives you the option to take the "Rapture Reward"
I dont know of a good way to format this information though, but the current implementation would suggest that you need to kill malachi to get echo/multistrike/gmp etc which is not the case, and can be fairly key actually considering the power of those gems and how they could greatly help with the killing of malachi.
That's right. You can get the reward as soon as Dialla activates the Rapture Device.
@cyan patio the reason it is that way currently is primarily because it would require changes to the quest module to support extra notes just for that quest
You could attach it to the king of fury/desire quests then, to complete them you have to activate the rapture device so it amounts to the same thing
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lavianga's_Acolyte
Also uses firestorm
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Crimson_Raiment
Was looking for something else but stumbled upon an error on the Wiki.
curse has been notified about it
No
I just added a notice on all wiki pages though so people know the problem has been forwarded
Ah I see
I believe it may actually be fine again if you do null edits on the pages they seem to work again but not sure if the underlying problem has been addressed it might show up again later
How do you upload pictures to the wiki?
Do they need to be in a specific resolution or under a specific size?
@echo sedge Look for the Upload file link under Tools in the sidebar. You shouldn't have to worry about size restrictions.
Found it,thanks. Is there an article listing naming conventions?
For images, not really, no. What were you planning on uploading?
I found that the recipe for duskdawn doesn't work with corrupted items, so I took a screenshot and I want to add that as a reference when I add info to the page.
Name it whatever you want. It's less important for screenshots to follow naming conventions.
In the file description, put . That will put the file into the screenshots category.
The syntax is a bit confusing. Can't I nest an image inside a reference? Would I need a gallery tag instead?
No, that's not going to work, I'm afraid. You can link to the file page. https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/File:Duskdawn_vendor_recipe.png
Make sure you're using Show Preview so you can see how the page will look before you save it. If you just put in a link, it shows up as [1]. You can do a wiki link to a file page like this: :Duskdawn_vendor_recipe.png (Note the addition of the colon)
woops, that should be :File:Duskdawn_vendor_recipe.png
I think this should be okay. I can't get the image to be on the same line as the small arrow, though.
thanks for the help.
isn't it just the case that corrupted items can't be used in any vendor recipes?
not specific to duskdawn
you can 5 rare to 1 white corrupted items
this is how demi gods bases were crafted on
^
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Divination_card Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter has terminated with signal "24".
Been doing some testing
Ignite duration on guardians and shaper is halved
as are curse effects
is this common knowledge
that the wiki isn't reflecting
or is it as much of a surprise to everyone else as it was to me?
curse effect is known
80% less instead of 60% less on guardians/shaper?
i don't get your formula
for ignite duration?
the base ignite duration is 4 seconds, more/less mods are simply multipliers (where does the 1 + ... notation comes from), and temp chains grants the slow effect, it's not the same as more/less
Base ignite duration on guardians is 2 seconds
temp chains make debuffs, including ignites, expire 40% slower
which is equivalent to 40% more duration
why is it 2 sec on guardians?
Fucked if I know
I just found out today
been going through tons of guardian/shaper kills
and it seems to have been like that from their release
in any case, the 40% more duraiton is scaled by curse effectiveness
curses on bosses normally have 60% less effect
the formula w/o temp chains should be 4 * (1 + 0.1) * 0.4 = 1.76
1.76 * 1.4 = 2.464
wat
i guess the effect of 1.4 should also be lowered by 60%
That's the only thing that should be lowered
ignite duration isn't affected by 60% less curse effect
the 2 second ignite thing is exclusive to guardians and shaper
but you don't multiply 1.4 by 0.4
because that brings you below base duration
you multiply 0.4 by 0.4, then add it to 1
the 40% more duration gets scaled down to 16% more
https://youtu.be/x5ZcPs4rAsU?t=173 has a really obvious ~2 second ignite if you need proof of that
w/o temp chains
showing base duration on guardians
yeah, you are right, so generally for unique monsters it should be 4 * (1 + 0.1) * 1.16 = 5.104
4*1.16
the (1+0.4*0.4) is 1.16
unless you're including 10% increased ignite duration from tree
in which case, yeah
41.11.16
ignite duration also comes from flammability q curse effect
Sure, not using flammability in http://puu.sh/tN8A2/d4f28b5955.jpg though
https://youtu.be/_b7bTW6mUxY?t=207 shows it on Hydra as well, ignite at ~3:28, expiring at ~3:30
not super accurate, but definitely shows ignites don't last 4 seconds on guardians
So he has 50% less ignite duration. Interesting
and 80% less curse effect rather than 60%
Daamn
why 80? how do you know?
That's the conclusion of the image I linked
expected ignite duration with 60% less curse effect is 2.55s, vs 2.38 with 80% less
measured duration is 2.37s
the conclusion the base duration of ignite is 2 sec is wrong, it's always 4
Except it clearly isn't on guardians
it's not practical to directly override it rather than adding reductions to durations
the curse effectiveness
and ignite duration
are two separate issues
I'm just using ignite duration to determine curse effectiveness
you can't
wat?
we don't have all the variables in the equasion to assume what another variables are
Oh
yes we do
by going over clips of guardians being ignited frame by frame
we can determine that the duration is half of what we'd expect on normal enemies
the clips I linked shows that
or at the very least makes it obvious that the duration is less than the expected 4 seconds
I can upload some higher quality clips of ignites if you want
yes, the duration is halved, nice find, but it doesn't mean the curse effectiveness is 80% less rather than 60%
ofc not
I established the base duration beforehand
in order to test curse effectiveness on guardians
are you convinced that ignite duration on guardians is 50% less?
i believe it's halved but only ggg knows what causes it
design choice because ignites are too powerful, I suppose
doesn't really matter, the point is that it's halved
and knowing that, we can test curse effectiveness
We know how fast the ignite would expire without temp chains
we know how fast ignite would expire with temp chains at 60% less
and we know how fast ignite would expire with temp chains at 80% less
in this case, I have 10% increased ignite duration from passives
which gives a base, non-cursed, duration of 2.2 seconds
60% less temp chains ignite duration of 2.55 seconds
and 80% less temp chains ignite duration of 2.38 seconds
but you didn't measure the duration without temp chains, did you?
I did
well it's not on the image π
No, it's a separate issue
that's easily confirmed by going over any clip of a guardian being ignited
I could mock up another image with just ignite duration if you think that's neccessary
well all videos you liked have temp chains up
Not the first one, I don't think
anyway it's an interesting find, but we can't assume what's correct and what's not just from a single measurement
that's not how science work, not at all
yyyyyeah
It's consistent
but I'm not squishing in 10 measurments in a single image
It's easy to replicate yourself
@wheat jetty @opal skiff curse effect is 80% on shaper and guardians
it's not the same on all bosses
also, some of the gurdians have stuff like less poison duration, less ignite duration etc
you can look it up with pypoe, it's just a stat on the monster like everything else
the only reason why itr doesnt show on PoEDB is that doesn't have any translationstring for it
I emailed Bex the other day regarding this and another issue. She couldn't get a solid answer for me regarding the curse effectiveness
I don't trust data from sites like poedb
Me and mini have been working on finding out the damage of a particular build which doesn't have any variation in its damage
But this curse effect has been throwing us off
as I said you can make a list from gamedata
with the enemies that have less curse effect
Metadata/Monsters/Rats/RatMapBoss RENAME ME -60 -60 lol
Some of the map bosses are uncomplete or non-existent, such as Splinter Liege or The Eroding One
I think they should redirect to the map, where the boss could be displayed
If someone wants to help, just add a redirect to the corresponding map of the boss, this should make it so all bosses show info instead of a non-existent page
@grand magnet how to get less curse effect?
Hi. Do you guys know how you can make a screenshot of a map layout like this http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/File:Bazaar_Map_example_layout.png ?
@stone crater: just check the stats on the monster's mods for curse effect, the boss has it's own stat
@grand magnet : it's unique_boss_curse_effect_on_self_+%_final without stat_descriptions
Can someone test the effects of AA + CoH?
In short, does it work if enemies hit you and get chill applied to them?
AA doesn't hit
Yes, essentially
plus the 0.5 chill time is suspect
so it's a request to see if it classifies as a hit for certain effects or not
@grand magnet : How to connect item usage string like 'Travel to this Map by using it in the Eternal Laboratory or a personal Map Device. Maps can only be used once.', or it hardcoded?
look at the .ot file for the item under Base -> description_text
and then find the value in ClientStrings.dat
@grand magnet : thanks
The wiki for The Polymath div card says that it can only be dropped in The Library in merci difficulty.
On the other hand the Wiki for The Library does not show this under Div cards
The wiki page for The Fated Connections prophecy (and the same on the Prophecy page) is lying, it tells about single jewelers orb for fully 6-linked ite, but in fact you'll get the 6-linked item when you get 6-socketed item (it's not a single jewelers orb)
It doesn't say next jeweler's orb unless I am looking in the wrong place
It says only using jeweler's orbs which is correct
Does anyone have a firm grasp of the logic used to determine the required level displayed on unique items? It doesn't seem to behave correctly for The Goddess Unleashed when you specify the required_level parameter. The issue is discussed here: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/User_talk:Vinifera7#Changing_Property_values
His testing hints it might be bugged
7th down, it's there
@light linden that's Opus
force refresh?
It might have been a change in the harp page or something else entirely
The wiki is just things pointing to things pointing to things now
Idk
It wasn't just me going mad, I was passing on the message from someone on Reddit who noticed it was missing
@light linden @desert frigate What browser do you use, btw, before I forget to ask?
ff
chrome
Chrome might not always load correctly, but I am unsure. Chrome usualky causes problems with the Visual editor and other, smaller things.
And were you reffering to the image or full table row?
@light linden
image? what image
@jaunty wigeon I clicked the same link that @desert frigate said didn't work and it worked fine for me
Ah yes I see hm
fwiw it works fine for me now
could be because I load that link every league. I update an irc script off the wiki uniques information
on both ff and chrome
Alright.
Offtopic check #280874695472185344 for a general Gamepedia giveaway
If the problem isn't with the cloudflare cache, then generally
null-editing the item page then the list should fix it
kk
Does anyone know how to make the wiki background show up dark on mobile?
Request desktop site works for me
Thanks
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Goldrim
Seems that Goldrim doesn't actually have a Dex (or any) requirement but the Wiki shows it does.
requirements below 14 are not shown in game
becuase all chars have at least 14 of str/int/dex
Ah, interesting point. Thanks.
It matters fro rolling socket colours. Getting a 4B goldrim is many times harder than 4G for instance
time to make a dumb overlap stats jewel conversion scion that can't even wear a tabula
But still not enough times harder that they don't show the dex requirement I'd imagine.
I actually really dislike it. Its a massive amount harder with just that 13 dex. Id prefer for it to be visible even if its not possible to be bellow that 13 dex. The vorici calculator is definitly not 100% accurate, and it also falls down at these low requirements, but with that said, the calculator says 4G on a 13dex (goldrim) would be 7 chromes, whereas 4B would be 513 chromes.
That is quite a big difference, although it doesn't look accurate as you meantioned
yes its not accurate as i said. But its easily at least 10x harder, i would say more than that even. SO even if you learn that stat requirements affect rolling massively, you cannot apply that knowledge to any "0" requirement items without looking at its wiki page specifically. I dont mind the fact that they have the requirements that are always met, what i mind is that they are hidden and yet have a large effect on the item.
nothing we can do about it though Β―_(γ)_/Β―
That's what's odd
They can't add a line of text to the item to show the level req?
Personally when rolling such a low item I'd go with what base it has as a guideline.
hey guys I was told to bring my question here
i want to try a scold molten shell build, and i have a question about the physical damage mitigation i need to make molten shell go off as soon as i cast it
the wiki says -- Absorbed Damage: once cast, any physical damage that is negated by armour (including armour gained via Granite Flask and Molten Shell itself), blocking, by the skill Immortal Call inventory icon.pngImmortal Call, or by the skill Arctic Armour inventory icon.pngArctic Armour will count towards triggering explosions.
so does chaos golem, fortify, etc not help?
or are those just examples of phys reduction sources that work for molten shell
there are some guides on the forums that use endurance charges, but the wiki doesn't mention them, which is why i'm confused
@devout egret more of a question for build discussion but chaos golem, basalt and echarges are all the same type of mitigation [physical damage reduction] and stack with what you get from armor. fortify is 'damage taken' and stacks with that. both help reduce how much phys you take
well
technically, its nothing broken on the page
its the new Yes.png images that have been uploaded
any list that uses them cant be sorted anymore
plus
it says in the history that i uploaded a new image
i didnt
try to sort the gems
by attributes
trying to undo this change from history doesnt work
trying to revert(which i did aswell) uploaded a new image somehow
whats weirder, at least for me, is that the http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=File:No.png page has also been updated with a new image, yet at the top it is still displaying the old one
ty
@grand magnet could you explain what the issue with sorting was?
also, why revert uploads a new image if you know why
it was treating the cell contents as numbers
now it will sort based on the % of the stat the gem has
is somebody that can edit the wiki and know how to add a column here? level requirement for list of int skill gems is missing, in the middle of planning and hit this unexpected roadblock
list of ACTIVE int skill gem
nevermind i somehow added it on my own lol. have fun ^^
@normal flame thanks for contributing
Gamepedia uses CloudFlare. You should change your password.
Yes, I am sorry to say this, but you might need to change passwords due to a very recently patched cloudflare issue.
I must be completely blind, I can't find where to edit the password on the wiki
So you can't actually change it through the wiki itself?
it seems so
Ah, good to know I'm not crazy

any questions can be asked here, please tag me if you do.
Someone please update drop restriction for Serrated Arrow Quiver. It's annoying as f*ck. It is 5, not 1.
Terminus Est isn't listed in the "related uniques" in the frenzy charges page http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Frenzy_charge
Would be nice to have 20% quality value for armour/es/evasion as well as weapon damage range and total dps for each damage portion/element. I have to calculate it on my own every time.
If anyone who merged their account and was having login troubles yesterday is available, if you can please test logging out and back in it would be greatly appreciated! We want to label this bug squashed!!
@weak wedge that section is for items that have frenzy-related mods aside from generating frenzy charges. It's correctly listed on the Source of Frenzy Charges section.
@azure moon From what I can see, the wiki already has the backend support display separate elemental dps (and interestingly enough, also phys+chaos dps combined). It'd look something like this
I don't think there's support for quality already existing but it seems that it might be possible to build.
For the first I think this is a large enough change that it should be brought to discussion first. For the second you'd need someone who understands templates very well.
new flask btw

24 uniques http://poedb.tw/us/unique.php?c=Legacy
hi, complete wiki edit noob here! the "amulet" page (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Amulet) is missing the agate amulet and i have no idea on how to add it
Does anyone know how to add card art to a page? I'm trying to add my div card to the wiki and it's all there except for the card art.
anyone? :c
So i figured out how to add the card art, however I can't seem to get a good image of the art
Can anyone assist with that process?
Card looks fine to me.
Compared to other art, it doesn't really
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Lover for example looks clean, not stretched.
Anyone know? π¦
gah ;-;
THANK YOU
GOT IT
hmm
how can i pull it from the ggpk?
Grr, even using the poedb.tw entry makes it look blurry. it looks a little better but for some reason it seems to keep cropping it short.
and stretching it
use pypoe with brotli for ggpk, but I think it's in a file with serveral other card images
Also when items dont show in lists or show incorrectly, please check this https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Path_of_Exile_Wiki:Known_issues#Items_not_showing_up_in_queries.2C_lists.2C_item_tables_and_other_places
process there should fix it
:c
It's hard to update 150 unique updates
is there a list of all the uniques already updated/that are pending update?
just pointing out that on the "talisman" page, under the unique talisman category, the natural hierarchy talisman is missing. I have no idea on how to edit this, sorry!
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/List_of_staff_modifiers
It's not showing what it's supposed to, it just says "Lua error in Module:Mod at line 1246: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)."
@barren quiver: You may see a broken cached version, the page seems to work just fine
just a small thing, but I think the conversion values for Pyre and Call of the Brotherhood need to be updated on this page: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Damage_conversion
how would I go about updating this?https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Edge_of_Madness
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:Item has the info
probably want to read https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:Item#Setting_mods

Uh, hi. I just found a divination card that's not on the wiki:
The Opulent is a new card from 2.6.0, I think. You can create an article for it if you want.
@tawny bane just where you find it?
Shavronne's Gambit seems to be missing a movespeed mod on the wiki, but I dont think its a recent change
Am I missing something obvious or is it a mistake?
Ahn's Hertiage also has none of its explicit mods.
Is there guide somewhere to how to look up /create new mods on the wiki?
@Hedgeg I'm honestly not sure. I was generally doing low maps around that time though.

@tawny bane its ok. page can exist without that info.
of couse its hard to add by uself in this system. w/o knowledge
i can help with basic source code for page. but not this item lua template / whatever
(picture + basic info + http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:New_content)
its pretty simple, wanna try?
@tender jackal https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:Item#Setting_mods
For the record, I just got another one and it was in the Villa map (I'd had a feeling that it had dropped within an 'indoor' map, so that would make sense. As for making the wiki page myself, not sure I would even know where to begin to be honest.
This doesn't appear to be in the wiki either.
where do I edit Vendor Quest Reward cost? just wanted to fix a small error ... turning into quite a hassle ^^"
Kashi: what is the problem?
Oh hey, it is still here
The link to here on https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/MediaWiki:Sidebar is an expired discord invite; I was about to replace it with a non-expiring one but I realized I don't have edit permissions on that page π
Anyway, I have no idea how you guys do page deletions; https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Category:Currency_items only contained Currency, which I moved to https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Category:Stackable_Currency since that category is actually used for the intent of the other one; not sure what to do with currency_items now though.
@grand magnet Ah, I see you're responsible for most of the edits to Module:Item2 :D. I've added a few more ifs to support tier and type essence categories and tested it at https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Module:Item2/sandbox ; so that https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Category:Essences can become useful. And why am I awake at 6 am. bed
I just commented on your user profile, I dont see a real need for this to be added, since any combination of essence level/type you can list/create through smw queries, this just adds a ton of categories.
Fair enough, maybe https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Category:Essences should be deleted then?
eh, yeah the category is empty so yeah
My original motivation was that Category:Stackable Currency is messy looking, but dunno how important categories are around here anyway
They are mostly important when things are manually categorized, you can create psyeudo-categories with semantic media wiki rather easily
just list pages
Yeah, last time I looked at autogenerating list code it was for guild wars 1 wiki and I think that was before Semantic ... dunno what the heck the plugin we used there was called
I'd take a look at the semantic media wiki docs and some of the queries on the wiki if you're interested in this stuff, it's pretty cool
Yeah
It looks pretty nice, I did some de-duplication filtering over on the Currency page before finding the category stuff :3
Most of the whole #ask system is hidden away in the module for items lists to make it more convient to use so there's usually just the queries, but coupled with https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:SMW_item_table you can pretty do neat stuff like here https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Physical_damage§ion=6#Converted_to_another_damage_type
Cool
Hmm, too bad there dosen't seem to be a "type of object this currency targets" data field, that would be a nice thing to sort on
Anyway, thanks, I should really at least get a nap x.x
Sleep well then
So i just got a stone circle in a acid lakes map, which would at first look like an indoors map. I noticed maps on the wiki sometimes shows "indoors" VS "outdoors", but i always assumed this was only wriiten so the reader gets some idea of what the layout is like. Now that we have a game mechanic associated to indoors VS ourdoors (stone circle spawning), should we edit that? What about the stone circle page?
its also associated with a few peophecies
@tawny bane sorry for long responce
you can create page with this code
<onlyinclude>

</onlyinclude>

Hey, how is guide serieses handled on the wiki?
can I make like a general series with tips that I wish I knew when I started? And then people can add to it, or would that not fit in this wiki?
The wiki once was a just a site with general series of tips. But as you add more to the series the more you'll realize that you need to split up the information in to smaller articles so it is easier to find, read and digest it. And as it gets larger and larger it gets more difficult to keep the information accurate and up to date, especially if the same information is repeated in multiple places. There's a few of these "starter guides" already there, for example Frequently asked questions and Diablo Player's Guide to Path of Exile. These pages tries to tldr already existing articles and in my experience these become quickly out of date and stays out of date far, far longer than the original pages, often that's because the main author doesn't have a long term perspective when creating the guide but these articles also gets less traffic and editors willing to keep it up to date. And what happens when information isn't the same across the site? The readers gets confused and can't rely on any of the other information either.
I obviously think improving already existing pages is the better route.
yep, but as a newish player myself, I found the wiki difficult t navigate, that is mostly the problem I am trying to solve
How exactly is a guide series making it easier to navigate?
The Frequently asked questions article is somewhat unwieldy. I don't like how it has a section which copies the official FAQ. That really shouldn't even exist. If we want to bring attention to the official FAQ, then it can be linked to in an external links section at the bottom of the page.
The Diablo Players guide is probably somewhat outdated and is overly specific in what it purports to be about. I think we should have a guide for new players, rather than a guide targeted specifically at Diablo players.
If someone wants to take the initiative on writing a guide for new players, I'm all for it.
There's also the Game mechanics page that tries to summarize the game that could be made easier to read and navigate.
it is easier to create and maintain your cool project, besides seeing what kind of atmosphere and level of cooperation and coordination in this
in order not to waste time and not to be disappointed
Aura page on purity of fire is wrong, maximum aura effect from tree is 69, not 66%
its 66% with all clusters which give mana reservation bonuses
I just reworded the CwDT page a bit to make it more clear after fielding three questions about (apparently misleading) stuff on that page in 24 hours...what do people think? https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Cast_when_Damage_Taken_Support&type=revision&diff=340029&oldid=329882
The functionality described is different now
That's a lot of edit - All looks correct though and shouldn't be more confusing than the gem is on its own
@grand magnet any idea how to mapping to 2.6 minions stats table
I just looked at it, and was about to update it. However, I'll probably wait until 2.6.0 actually comes out before updating.
hmm, looks like we're updating for 2.6 already. Ok, I'm going to update SRS as a test and see how it looks.
do we have a [updated for 2.6.0] tag or something like that?
@wraith depot 2.6 has been out for weeks...
@grand magnet I'm looking at DefaultMonsterStats.dat and DefaultMonsterStats.dat, but no idea how to compile the stats
Right. for some reason, I had throught that posted thing was for Fall of Oriath
3.0
nevermind, I'm just confusing myself.
ok, I'm a bit confused here.
let's take gem level 1.
damage 6-9
and a multiplicative raging spirit attack mod of 76%
so (6+9)/2 * 1.6 (attacks per second) * 1.76 = 21.6
which is the final DPS
but what's the purpose? there's no flat increase to SRS damage that I'm aware of?
both the increase and the more modifiers are in the end multiplicative?
added chaos comes after the base damage calc
hmm, maybe not
the way that SRS is worded, it's not a increase or more modifier
maybe it's a local modifier? in that case, added chaos won't have their damaged multiplied by 1.76
there's a grand total of 2 shields that grant flat damage.
shields don't have a flat damage increase as a modifier, so those 2 are indeed, unique
Wait a sec
there's no notation on that spreadhseet for the phys damage conversion to fire damage
Anybody on here know how to use the math template?
@wraith depot try this https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Armour/math
read the template manual https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Template:Math
it uses LaTeX
@stone crater I have not looked into it yet
ok, SRS fixed for now. I'll update the strategy section with 2.6 numbers later.
math was annoying. took me a while that the PNG conversion had to wait awhile to work.
to figure out that*
Has anyone nailed down the start for http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Intruders_in_Black yet? I'm fairly sure it's no longer the first visit to the encampment.
FYI: Unique weapons and armour will now show with quality 20 on the wiki
That will be reflected in damage / ar / es / ev caculations respectively
@tawdry anchor perhaps when you meet the girl in the chamber of sins/kill the weaver?
@grand magnet I think something like Physical Damage: 9-24 (10.2β27.2) Would be better
you mean showing the quality changes in () behind the actual value?
mhm
Would be clearer and prevent confusion
as well as be useful if someone for some reason doesn't quality stuff
dunno, maybe ssf players don't find enough scraps early on or something.
Not sure if it would be clearer, right now it shows as it would in game (well ingoring the fractions), it would make a lot of the numbers much harder to actually read
Physical Damage: (65 to 74)β(117 to 126) [(78 to 88.8)β(140.4 to 151.2)]
not sure that would be much better
That probably works fine on regular pages, not sure if it works well on item links on the wiki
that's probably fine?
If someone hovers over an item and says "hey thats an interesting item I wonder whats its dps is"
with the new dps module he'll go to the page itself and check
on-hover also works for flasks and stuff where you wouldn't necessarily want quality
so it can be mostly implemented wiki-wide which is more consistent
Hm, well I should mention the item template calcuates the values on the item directly and they're used for things like the item tables (and could potentially used in SMW searches as well), it's part of the Q20 change so the item lists especially when comparing items for their DPS/AR/EV/ES values are more meaningful since some items have large flat additions from modifiers, so those changes are fairly significant
It's pretty much an either with quality or without at the moment because it would affect a lot of properties on the item itself. Now of course I could add two sets of values for Q0 and Q20 respectively but that would be a lot of extra work right now
Adding a hover that doesnt affect most of this is a bit less work, but I think I'll have to see how much demand there is for showing it either way
Currently they show the stats of the items as cacluated
meaning they show Q20 weapons/armours
How about adding the dps values there as well?
they're on the tables already
or well, there is a parameter for it, the generic unique items list usually have the dps enabled
yeah that's the reason why it's not there atm
we talked about it internally and deceided it would make the tables too large to show all of them
so we just settled for pdps/epdps/dps
Can I ask where is all this internal talking happening?
slack
on the gamepedia slack to be specific , there's a few of the very active editors, the active community admins and curse people there
oh btw, if you (or anyone else) wants to make a list with all the dps for personal use that's possible
That'd either be work with pypoe or scraping from the wiki,no?
You can just do it on the wiki with the SMW item table in your userspace
example
I think I can make sense of that
Now of course I could add two sets of values for Q0 and Q20 respectively but that would be a lot of extra work right now
Assuming I want to do that
How'd I go about doing so
?
What documentation are you looking for exactly?
How to "use" it, i..e how to use the templates it does that 's pretty much all documented on the relevant template pages
How edit the module itself is not documented
How to edit or create modules/templates
It's best to consult the mediawiki manuals/tutorials for that stuff
that's for the lua scripting in modules
Semantic media wiki (which is used heavily on the poe wiki)
I'll stick to just understanding how to use templates then
I'll take a more indepth look if I happen to have weeks of spare time someday
Thanks
https://help.gamepedia.com/Templates this might also help
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Minion#Essences
"Essences can only drop in Essence league."
It's not accurate, obviously. Can you correct it?
I just updated it. changed the link from essence league to essence, and just flat out dropped the intro para.
Hmm, actually, I'll add in a sentence specific to the minion essences.
there
done
Looks good
would putting this picture onto the unique item page be too much?

(Original announcement from Brianna, Curse and Curse Gamepedia staff member)
I think I found a mistake on the wiki. The pages of canyon's bosses (Gnar and Stonebeak) redirect to the castle ruins map which has a completely different boss.
fixed. We probably need to revisit how the bosses are setup.
Map bosses really should not have a separate page from their maps. There's just not that much extra information. (there 's no boss specific lore, for example.)
In terms of look and feel, I like the example of Castle Ruin, have a minor section "Boss(es)", have the sentence "<name, maybe not linked, just bold?>, based on <base>." and have a list of skills that the bosses use
depends, I would like to have proper pages for monsters on the wiki at some point in the future with more detailed info
that doesn't really work well with SMW mixing in with the map info
but currently there isn't really much info about monsters there so I dont think it hurts to have the monster info on the map pages for the time being
I found the same type of mistake. The link to Vaal City's boss, Lady Stormflay, redirects to the Precinct map entry which has a different boss.
(Also the layout set is "Travincal" (from diablo 2 act 3), which isn't a mistake but pretty funny, though I think an explanation for people that didn't play Diablo 2 would be nice)
fixed
Can information about the ilvl that leaguestones begin to have no level barrier be added to http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Leaguestone , if that info is known?
I believe it's 68
but I think I've seen some lower ones without limit
There is one on poe.trade with ilv2 and no limit for some reason
so ... no idea
hey I've known about this since 2.6 came out but they ninja added 30-40 dexterity to garukhan's flight, I tried altering the wiki page but I have no idea how to use mod ranges so if possible could someone else add it
@flint galleon done
I feel like it would be a good idea to write that warband/breach/perandus/rigwald talisman items cannot be chanced on every respective item page even while under the affect of the specific leaguestone due to how these items are obtained as they do not drop naturally therefore they cannot be chanced
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Kaom's_Roots
Particle effects GIF on the bottom is freaking out
Unlike when you click it
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/File:Kaoms_Roots_Partical_Effects.gif
Lol what the hell is that even. The actual file looks correct? That doesn't make any sense.
It's interesting isn't it? It appears to happen when the gif changes size.
Yeah, even if you click into the one that's messed up on the second link, it stops shaking
gotta go fast in this clearspeed meta
The issue has been mentioned to curse a while ago, but I dont know if they had their tech staff look into it
In the meantime... enjoy the spastic gifs π
its totally fine π
Entertaining at least... Did catch my eye :P
the wiki only lists 27 of the supposed 28 Environmental lore bits in Act 1... I've gotten all of them, but the achievement traker in game is saying there's 28!? π
GGG typically adds new ones with each major release.
Yeah, the one it's missing is probably the letter to Shavronne at the end if the prison
That one was only added in version 2.4
Nah, I got that one... That's part of the 27 listed on the wiki... There's 15 Letters of Exile, 7 Weathered Carvings, 1 Shavronne's Journal, 1 Letter of Instruction (to Shavronne), 1 Lioneyes Standard, 1 Sailor's Skin, & 1 Damp Diary... unless all of my previous knowlage of maths have failed me, that's 27... & that's all that's listed on the wiki... π
Oh, it's the bronze monograph outside the trial of ascension in the prison
Those count, too
anybody know whats with the innsbury edge?
wiki says it has global crit chance mod but i dont see it ingame
Ah, I've been ignoring them because I've already unlocked Normal Lab... Lol Thanks, now I can go sulk in my stupidity of not trying that...
@zenith crest The wiki doesn't show a local crit chance mod for Innsbury Edge. Maybe you were looking at the wrong item.
its been fixed after i asked
Not according to the revision history.
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/List_of_belt_modifiers busted ? Lua error in Module:Mod at line 1258: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value).
@zenith shard fixed - just fyi, editing the page and saving without changing anything seems to fix most random lua errors
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Izaro#Lieutenants regarding the lieutenants, the rage one which according to the page is supposed to be fire has different abilities on its own page, which appear to be cold based http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lieutenant_of_Rage
same situation for the liutenant of mace as well
plz fix, pretty misleading considering one of them has a thorns ability which can be deadly
If you see such simple mistakes, instead of posing here you could just hit the edit button and fix it yourself
not a user
It is free,
do any of you guys know if the firestorm spreadsheet dps calculator is updated? cuz i updated it myself based on an old version but i don't know if the wiki is actually updated
@Glory#7257 Yes, you must be a registered user to edit the wiki. We don't allow guests to edit.
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Damage#List_of_items_and_skills_that_lower_damage_of_all_types: Would replacing that section with a query table be considered a good update? The page right now seems to have easier to access information for uniques that grant a conditional damage boost, but a table would update automatically and show values (+sorting).
Need to report bad advertisements?
https://gamepedia.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006403627-Reporting-Bad-Advertisements
@echo sedge yeah it's probably a good idea to replace it with a query, it might be a bit difficult to ge tthe conditions right
since most of these items listed there seem to have some special conditions associated with them making it more stats
I've settled for two tables, one for always-on dmg and another for conditional
Showing the conditional dmg mod doesn't make too much sense anyways, maybe if it was only flat increases based on a single condition
but I don't see a way to represent "6% inc dmg per frenzy charge vs enemies on low life" meaningfully in a number
the other approach is to stack on every single modifier in the table, which means new stuff won't have its value shown unless you manually add it, which defeats the entire purpose of the table
I've also tweaked the tables for phys/chaos and added tables to cold, fire, lightning and elemental
Some of the things there are arguable (like maps showing in lightning's "gain extra damage as lightning", everything about how I wrote damage gained as elemental, whatever there is justification for a "flat added global damage" row when no item grants it) so it would be nice if someone had a pass over it
for reference, items the new generic table misses from the old page
Daresso's Passion Daresso's Passion - while you don't have any Frenzy Charges.
Doedre's Scorn Doedre's Scorn - per Curse on Enemy.
Doon Cuebiyari Doon Cuebiyari - when in Main Hand.
Hyaon's Fury Hyaon's Fury - per Frenzy Charge.
Taryn's Shiver Taryn's Shiver - Enemies Frozen by you take 20% increased Damage.
The Dark Seer The Dark Seer
Valako's Sign Valako's Sign - against Shocked Enemies.
+
Enfeeble Enfeeble: Afflicted targets deal less damage.
Flame Golem
Not sure who to notify so I'll just state it here. I noticed "Nature's Boon" Pathfinder passive skill missing from the Elemental Damage page. Should be on there I believe since it reduces elemental damage taken by 8%
@wispy crypt There's no section for elemental damage taken, that would have to be added.
@grand magnet Is the amount of possible memory the wiki can use on a single query something you can control?
Also, are there any plans to introduce queryable mediawiki data for gems/passives?
--
I've updated the generic damage tables, only thing they don't capture now is taryn's shiver (frozen enemies take increased damage)
Not really, there are some variables that can be set that allow for larger queries or longer execution time I believe but it's something that only curse can do
I think they might be backlogged with some thing I believe I asked about upgrading to a newer version of SMW about a month ago
@echo sedge and you can already query gems, passives are planned, thefrz wanted to work on those
if you want some examples

MTX Combo Celestial Hood - Fiery Eyes.png
Does NOT work on: Ranger, Shadow,Templer
Templer
Would I be able to edit that myself?
On the Wiki.
Yes, you can. Granted you have an account.
I'll try make one then, thanks.
Would it be worth differentiating the peregrine and incandescent heart on the leech page, since they grant attack damage leech, as opposed to physical attack damage leech?
they were the only two items I could find with that discintion
the item section needs to be reworked with SMW anyway
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Goddess_Unleashed has the explicit mod BurnDurationUniqueOneHandSword10 listed which doesn't exist. the correct one seems to be BurnDurationUnique__1, which is in the source as a comment, so maybe there is a reason I don't see?
When multiple mods have the same stat text we often add them in as a comment so it is easier to find and change the mod if it didn't match correctly..
but the non-comment one doesn't exist (at least not in the current GGPK, maybe it was in there at some point)
It was created in 2015 and the other one was created in 2016. so that may very well be the case.
@grand magnet have you thought anything about how to deal with deleted mods? Deleting them immediately seems scary for these kinds of cases.
I usually diff the ggpks between releases and delete mod as needed
diff the Mods.dat that is
I suppose I'll should write a maintence script though that checks the wiki for extra mods that need deleting
should be fairly trival with the smw api
Keep in mind to also check if the mod is used in other queries, so the script warns before deleting those.
Hmm, I was thinking the property Has query would do it but it didn't work as I expected.
I don't think it's excempt to the 72 character limit
?
what did I just win?
.......
I think it's either a bot or someone spamming @ commands
@bold cedar

Someone seems to have a major grudge against us
lol that bot again?
It's not a bot
It's a user, but judging from the behavior, it seems to be the same person making new accounts and repeating the same disruptive action over and over again.
What happen
Ping spammer that got banned.
Is tables showing pvp rewards intended?
done, thx
hey just a heads up the wiki is currently running an ad banner for RMT/currency website
:U
Okay done, they don't make it easy π¦
I want to add a page that shows all the "Supported by" items. That is all items that have a skill embedded into them, like Lioneye's Vision and The Covenant
Anything I need to discuss with anyone before I make one?
No, but you should make it look like other item lists
and use smw query for it
@bleak maple went ahead and made it for you https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/List_of_unique_items_supporting_socketed_gems
Hehe ok thanks man
Wondering why there are items missing
Ahh it's called "socketed_gems_get" in Lioneye's Vision
great π
we should add a link to template:item on the word "supported by" to this page
Not sure why you'd want to link to template:item
btw both supported_by and socketed_gems_get is needed to catch all types
Sorry not template:item but when hovering over "Supported by" to link to that article
The drop restricted items page doesn't list items that only drop from bosses, such as guardian or atziri drops
would those be worth adding?
the page is more aimed at items that can't be obtained reguarily (and league items are there because it is sometimes the case and sometimes not)
wiki missing 2.6.2 patchnote
belt of the deceiver is listing a minimum level of 8 instead of 20 fwiw.
fixed
ty
?
What a douche
he was doing it earlier and was banned too
You should have to take an iq test to talk/type
You can be smart and still be a douche
iq tests are the most accurate ways we can test human intelligence
they don't test for knowledge sure, but they do test your mental capacity
This
Does anyone involved in this section actually edit the wiki ?
@sharp thorn there are a bunch of people in here with accounts who edit from time to time, Omega is wiki admin, etc
Okay because I was wondering if people who were good with that kind of stuff could add in how map drops work in regards to +1 and +2 drops I feel like that is very important and left out
you could also make an account and give it a try
Gamepedia sessions will be fixed. ETA 4+ hours.
Decide to edit a beta wiki page for first time ever, gamepedia sessions are messed up, 10/10
@neat moon The issue should be resolved as of now π
thanks
Hey
Anyone know how long until 3.0 coming live?
The atlas base items are missing the armour type tag, e.g. dex_armour. Those are there in the game data, not sure why they haven't been exported. See e.g. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/api.php?action=askargs&conditions=Has+name%3A%3AFingerless+Silk+Gloves&printouts=Has+tags
Fix it with 3.0.0
I need to reexport all items anyway since they changed the values
Can something be done for doomfletch prism while you're at it?
The fated uniques are treated as additional modifiers to the base item
They've added a negative modifier to "delete" the mod on the base item
since it has a value of 0, it doesn't show ingame
but the wiki works differently, and it makes a messy experience
I'll do something about that eventually but other things take priority currently
Propose that the template for vendor result be reworded to better say that it is what it SELLS for not how to create it
I've now seen 3 people make that mistake and ask why it didn't work
Feel free to change it
hey all, is there a way to edit info in poe wiki?
Make an account and start editing.
aah cool. thanks! π
for stat_column<i>_stat<j>_id in SMW tables, is there any way I can pass anything that isn't exactly the property id? (i.e. put things like * and ? in it)
No, but I could make it accept lua patterns I guess
That would be useful if it's not too much of a pain to implement
Anyone know if there's a more in-depth list of sextant mods than http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/List_of_atlas_mods ? For example, listing what each mod does?
I suppose some of the terms could be linked. Like Slipstreams, Zana, Alluring etc.
But most of them are quite straightforward.
yeah, slipstream doesn't really tell me anything. i looked at the linked 'unnamed mod' and figure it's patches of haste ground or something.
enemies converted on kill is a bit vague. does it work like dominating blow on some mobs (8 packs it looks like), etc.
if that's the only list that's fine, just in most other places in the wiki there's a list that states general attributes then if you click each attribute you find a much more detailed description.
The descriptions given on the List of atlas mods article are more than sufficient, in my opinion. We don't need to explain what Poison is in the table when we can simply link to the article for Poison. For that reason, we should link "Slipstreams" to more information about Slipstreams.
I dont think they all are. Some are very vague and even after the relevant wiki page is (eventually) found require playing the mod to figure out what it is. Take "MapAtlasClustersOfParasiteBarrels" for example. Atlas mod table states "Areas contain 30 additional Clusters of Mysterious Barrels" which requires knowledge of what 'Mysterious Barrels' are. Wiki page for Mysterious Barrels only says they add unique effects to the map. π Linking relevant pages would definately help but I think more detail is needed to bring it to the same level as the rest of the wiki.
