Well Culling Strike is ~11% more damage
@full salmon Not worth more than a couple of chaos, I'm afraid. It's too low a phys roll to be useable as an attack-based weapon, so the only worthwhile stat on it is the +2 to cold gems. Attack gems don't really care about gems levels much, but spells do. Attack speed is alright, but most staff casters would use Flame Dash or Phase Run over Leap Slam.

Ill give you few tips that should set you on the path of crafting stuff or at least knowing how to estimate the value of the items
when you craft you want:
1 Appropriate item level usually 84-86
2 Good base (top tier due to implicit value or defensive rolls)
3 6 linked BEFORE CRAFTING, the reason is: its a lot easier to 6 link items before they are crafted due to increased quality mod that you can later remove
this is what makes and item worth its weight, when you have an armour with low-mid tier life | 2 decent affixes and no 6 link, you most likley will waste more money 6 linking it than what it will actually be worth

you want another pro tip? you can always reroll onyx amulate after corrupting it without losing the base
you craft onyx amulate (dont look for best possible rolls, just a good one) corrupt it
if it bricks or doesnt give you anything good
vendor it with blue, green and red gem
and you get your base back
without any mods and without corruption
