For finding random rares or basic crafting reroll until you hit at least 4 well rolled mods people want life/res/dmg/etc
And fossil crafting is super easy money if you know when to stop like in legion I used 3 jagged fossils on stygian belt and hit % physical dmg/ 60ish life/ 2 res cold fire one of the res was low under 20 but the other res was mid 30s I threw on 3rd res and sold them for 4ex
Also another good tip JUST sell your items don't worry about getting what you think it "could" be worth sell and move on! Sometimes you will sell items a bit cheap but doesn't matter cuz you sold it instead of having dust collect in your stash

@wispy hearth ok good you know so if you combine that with a build like coc frost nova, and frost bolt build then your damage for those frost bolts would sky rocket not just but they would sky rocket because a coc frost nova frost bolt build generates a crap load of frost bolts, that's just one of many builds with a ranged ability, so its clearly a big damage boosters for a ranged build
not just that but you can counter the slower projectile spec by using a gem that speeds up projectile speed so at the end of the day you have the positive effect of the slower projectile gem
slower projectile can go up to a max for 49% less projectile speed and faster projectile support can give you a max of 69% increased projectile speed
not just that but my gauntlets have 16% increased projectile damage so that's another bonus to what i'm saying

Once you know what's good from a quick glance seeing item has "x" life "x" amount of total res you can spend more time finding 1 really good item that sells for many exalts instead of trying to price check 50 items that might be worth less then 10c
Also know what's happening in the league like legion super melee heavy so anything with good physical dmg sells quick
I expect good minion items to be very expensive next league
