I'm no expert myself, but main method of evaluating price is figuring out which mods are valuable on their own, and then see what items with those mods (without searching for the rest of your bad mods) are worth. That's how I concluded 20-ish.

It's good situationally but usually you're better off getting resistances on your ring. Some might seek an unset ring to socket an aura that they may otherwise not have room for in their gear, for example

No, Life (Coral), Resistances (many different), flat damage (Steel), Elemental damage (Opal), all are way better for most builds. It's just for builds that are really trying to fit all the skill gems.
