Regarding Path of Exile 1 and 2 Guilds
What are guilds in Path of Exile? Should I join one?
Guilds in Path of Exile differ from what you would find in something like an MMO. Path of Exile 1 and 2 are both designed to be played either in a group or completely solo from the very start to the highest echelons of endgame. There is no inherent bonus to joining a guild. Since there are no "raids" like you would find in something like World of Warcraft, or "Guild Buffs" like in other MMOs, the main reasons to join a guild would be to find new friends to play or chat with, or use a shared guild stash to work on crafting projects or divvy up loot after group play. But by no means is joining a guild "required".
Can I advertise/recruit my guild here?
Direct recruitment isn't allowed on this server due to issues with moderation of guild submissions and guild feedback. You can still post your guild in the guild recruitment forum on the pathofexile website, linked below
Where can I find a guild or recruit people to join my guild?
Two primary options would be to check out the forums and find/recruit for guilds here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-forum/guild-recruitment-seeking-players
Alternatively, you can type "/global 100" (minus the quotations) in-game to join the guild recruitment global chat
