#2┃build-planning

it is 50/50 doin it with the tree there should be explicits with what is and can exposure - freeze - chill
@sand talon
Alr ill look into it thanks
Lvl 55 rn doing armor stacking, is 20k good at my level? And how should/can I stack it further? I’m running out of flat armor increases and %increased to armor
I would say thats good but only because I have 0 armour
@rich creek you got more than enough rn lol
I have 28k only when scavenged plating is max, and deadly resolves’s damage increase isn’t capped until I hit around 22k, I’d like to have that at base instead of only temp, plus as the level goes higher I’m gonna need even more armor
Does this node for Oracle work with Dark Effigy?
Dark Effigy is a totem, so yep, it works.
items with more armour, as simple as that
as kitava with 90% res, over 3k life and headhunter I felt alright with 40k armour or whatever
Duelist cant come soon enough
Anyone out there have a great Blood Mage build I can model after. Struggling to find a good one.
Imjustanthony hit 100 in hc on both spark>doedres then the fker did it again using plants/DD
His mobalytics is solid and includes many variations
The easiest way to get started in my opinion is to run choir of the storms, Atziris acuity, and then just cap resistances and crit chance around 85%+
Start with CoC arc and then run CoC comets once you get a rare amulet
I'm 99 in hc running spark with choir and CoC comet, don't care that it's inefficient since I play solo. Haven't been on since poe1 tho I gotta get back on the grind to 100
my build is simple but effective and tanky https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rpPCd0Y5s8U&t=19s
build: https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/179e2
00:00 - 00:22 Xesht
00:22 - 06:53 abyss
06:53 - 07:00 omen of light
07:00 - 10:29 abyss
10:29 - 10:40 boss
10:40 - 11:37 skill gems
11:37 - 12:03 items
12:03 - 12:25 passive skill tree
definitely decide on Headhunter vs Soul Tether
ironically i ran soul tether on plants in softcore, then hh on spark in hardcore... both have their strengths and both are disgustingly strong
I have these two items normal rarity. Im lvl 55. Do i just slap alc on them or is there a smarter way to get what i need for my sunder build?
It'd be best if you asked in a PoE1 channel, not a PoE2 one. Also, not sure if that's strictly a build planning thing
Oh sorry, accidently asked here
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/wemmyy-2121/character/wemory if anybody could help me in what sort of items i should look for for my build would be much appreciated or just what/how to center my build because it feels very messy rn
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
id like to be able to run coc but having that much spirit seems very unlikely
cant run lunar assault on weapon skillset without it rn because of how my passive skills are setup
i wanna keep herald of ice on lunar assault
preferably
my damage seems fine especially vs bosses
sometimes i have some trouble clearing but its fine most of the time
think most of the issues lies in my suriviability
still get oneshot from time to time
might just be because im super noob
I was very pleased with kf ballista hiero but it was time to reroll. Went with fubguns ele hit deadeye. Just hit maps and levelling is horrible, i die in almost every map even though resistances are maxed. It's so much worse than the hierophant. Did I get jebaited?
Definitely bait, since Ele Hit doesn't even exist in this game.
😁
Ssf.noob. is bonezone jugg still good? Hit based? Stones and nightmare maps? Not bleed version.
well you certainly jebaited me into reading all of this...
you are missing campaign rewards
why do you have cast on crit?
get around 10k ES, lots of ES on the items, amzlet, passives, jewels
Anyone one have a good BloodMage Build for Standard. Thinking Spark but not 100% sure.
because I be critting
quite a lot
pick either spells and cast on crit or attacking skills
Also I’ve tried looking for more Es items but on my gloves for example I can’t find any that have similiar modifiers that aren’t crazy expensive
perhaps
idk it was doing really good damage vs bosses
But I’ll look for Es jewels
any input would be much appreciated. Not doing much DPS, how can I increase?

Someone out there wants to tell me the things I am doing wrong. 🙂
I was like how do you have +3 spell focus lmao, standard league
I can take a peep for you
Well your amulet is projectile skills not spell skills
Wand is kinda poop +4, cast speed, some spell damage, no crit anywhere and no +1 spell augment/socketable
At least it has T1 gain as cold but yeah you've got a 4 mod wand vs 6 mod, and ammy is doing nothing for comet whatsoever (spell DMG, crit chance, crit damage all available on ammy)
Ideally we want some cast speed or maybe rarity on your resistance-fixing ring, I'd say look for a new corruption on your seed of cataclysm. Increased damage, rarity, or skill speed would be gnarly
That's too minmaxy, leave your rings for now while I check jewels
Already I can see a VERY spread out passive tree - this is commonly done on higher budget due to jewels having so much power. However I'm only seeing rare sapphires and an under-utilized time-lost sapphire
Most jewels are solid 3/4 mods, maybe a bit low on rolls but otherwise I don't think any need to be swapped. Definitely leaning into your wand/focus being upgraded or swapped out to a staff instead
Prob not too cheap but you should 100% have these three prefixes on your body armour:
ES
%ES
Spirit
By running es, life, spirit you aren't taking full advantage of Bloodmage ascendancy. No point having life prefix if es does the same thing WHILE bringing your es from 5k to 6 or 7k
I think I just shed a tear seeing a 73% Ingenuity... Still, unless you start running a better rare ring I think ingen is troll here
Run HH or soul tether, imo HH wins since you get defense mods like maximum res, life, es, enrage, etc but soul tether is ultra comfort
Take embitter off spark (I run it on orb of storms not my main skill personally)
Your choice, but remove one comet for lifetap or something and you'll see more consistent comet procs (600 energy vs 300 required)
Come to think of it, why aren't you running lifetap on CoC? I see know way to continuously drop comets on a boss' head
If ur gonna keep mana and not go blood magic, might as well run mana remnants and mind over matter
It'd beat arctic armour or siphon elements imo but that's a hc viewpoint more than anything. Still, no way to drop unlimited comets if you don't run lifetap so I found the root of your problem rn. Gonna let you come back and start reading
Done for now
Awesome, thank you for that input. have been working on a few things.
I am finding it hard to run blood magic with Sanguimancer mask and still have enough Spirit to run things.
I'm not saying to do that, I'm saying swap comet for lifetap and you'll immediately start doing more "DPS"
Cuz right now there's no way your mana isn't getting nuked on bosses
I'm not a fan of sanguimancer and bloodmagic in general when you can just run mana remnants + mind over matter and call it a day
Ppl doing full party carries might want to get rid of lifetap but I cba
Was wondering how this is looking so far?

Couldn't afford the actual jewels i needed but each one has 2 out 4 of the things I need lol
standard trashing vines build with no staff to all spells, you know you dont need chiming staff in first slot, just buy the best staff you can and put chiming with the biggest lvl of sigil power you could find on equp slot II
and use sigil of power on bosses or hard rares
also no all spell skills on amulet
and no cast on crit oj thunderstorm, you can put bone cage there also
Im just following a guide. For whatever reason, dude wants detonate dead in there.
Im working with what I could afford to get
Hmm...
Actually that is the best staff I have lol with the most damage boost
The guide should mention low level detonate dead, if it doesn't it's a bad guide
DD you really only care about the % damage part
Which does not scale with gem level whatsoever
You are simply nuking your mana pool for a miniscule base damage increase
???
ok fair enough, still, run as low level as you can
you put the lvl you can use not yo go oom
no
In both Poes you have corpse detonation skills, rarely do you need more than 5% of a corpse life

you look at your mana and put best that your build can go with withour going out of mana
Sure
also bone cage better for bosses
I got interested in this build, but I can't find a PoB/build guide (link under the video goes to a different build guide) and some of the gems don't exist in this patch. Flicker/Gathering Storms Invoker with Frost Wall abuse. Is it still possible?

Cheers, though I already skimmed ninja and didn't really find "the same". I guess that's just how it goes with new patch, though, will take the best I can find from there 👍
Got the PoB with the wayback machine
I can see the mobalytics for a few sec before having an error page
You can stop the page loading though, but you won't be able to hover items, gems, etc.
Damn, big brain move. Cheers friendo!
What's a good Autobomber build that can start with 30d?
wdym autobomber, for autobomber you need temporalis
depends what autobomber means for you
only other possibility i can think of is cast on minion death
or bear meteor?
but true autobomber is blink autobomber
Anyone playing Druid Frost Wolf? I'm playing SSF and trying to push to Uber Arbiter. 6 mod citadel bosses give me a tough time though, mostly the wolf
Also i can't see how to link my character profile from pathofexile2.com into the build help page if anyone can help with that
I found a site to link, poe ninja
Stupid build question: 9% of Invokers are using "...and I Shall Rage", which seems weirdly low for an Ascendancy that gives you a 40% more damage buff you can easily turn on for bosses. Am I missing something?
||Is the reason nobody is using it that "It's not supported in PoB yet so it's actually 0% DPS increase"?
||
"Not enough points left to allocate it after absolute necessities" seems untrue since there's a lot of people running both "I am the Blizzard..." and "I am the Storm..."
Hey guys, does anyone know how to get power nodes to display when using animate weapon in path of building? I have a sword equiped and a skill, but when I check the power node box everything is black
Thinking of doing my first ever attempt at hardcore mode, just trying to get through the story not really trying to delve into end game, what would be thr best solo not trading build
Can Charged Staff actually cull? Like, do the shockwaves or the added damage cull enemies while the buff is active?
It happily slots Culling Strike & Thrill of the Kill...
Hey guys, question, my buddy just got 2 last flames in a row, sold both and has 5 mirrors, what would be the best build to build with this amount?
im trying to theorycraft a thorns infernalist, and i cant decide if going ES is worth it, because then id need to take essentia sanguis i think to leech as ES just so im not at half health if i take the life to ES node
and my question would be like, if i stick with going life, by doing 75% life life cowards, what 4th ascendancy point would i even take
you have to define best
there is sheet dps and practical ingame dps for bosses and clear, tankiness and mobility
I guess best for DPS/clear speed, able to do 6 man temples solo type deal
https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/18cc3
this is the highest sheet damage, but missing movement speed and blink, you would have to sacrifece archmage for blink
Life: 3268 - ES: 0 - Mana: 7346
Skills: Comet, Elemental Weakness, Living Bomb
this is also pretty tanky
if you want the best clear speed you need self chill rampage with lots of area of effect
but well, self chill spark comet or lightning arrow/oil grenade/explosive shot/whirling assault also great
Hello. What is a good reason to use Blackflame Covenant? You’d still want +Fire Spell levels but want chaos damage but that cant spawn naturally as a pair of modifiers right?
What builds do people use generally for Simulacrum
If you can find a way to roll Slayer in PoE 2 I am very interested in that build. Otherwise, you probably meant to go here: #1┃build-planning 🙂
oh yes i did haha sorry
Any huntress players that can tell me what to use? I kinda wanna go bleed but I have tried it in the past and it didn't work too well
check out the accuracy stacking bleed bow builds. you can also use a rhoa if u like
I'm trying to see any fun builds to try out now before next season starts, but can't find anything interesting in poe ninja, the whole comet blood mage thing don't seems that fun
Any suggestions?
how does sorcery ward work with conditional increased evasion like %increased evasion while moving
Sorc Ward checks your eva/armour stat every time it refreshes, so if you have a conditional % increase applying like "while moving" when it checks you'll get that benefit in the calculation.
simulacrum doesn't narrow down the builds, any build will do
you ignore positive fire res when using blackflame, but lose the whole thunderstorm whispering ice combo
the ring means you stack fire damage, the keystone means you stack chaos damage, both exist as mods
Ah so generally, monsters don’t have a lot of chaos res? I guess wither also opens up as well as them chaos lineage gems.
Okay thank you.
You can see the Resistances an enemy has based on the icons under their Life bar. A red icon indicates negative resistance, no icon means it's at 0%, grey means that it's positive (often at 30%), and gold means that it is maxed, so 75%.
Many enemies only have one or two Resistances, and Chaos Resistance is probably the least common.
chaos res is by far the least common, usually it's 0
Lifetap seems the easiest or mana regen mana from kill on the tree
just mana regen, mana remnants, the mana regen gets very high
If your all elemental what spirit gem would you suggest?
Fire
Arctic armour or siphon? I read siphon but not sure if will do what I think it does
Do you guys think the are any builds that would work well with the Head of the Dragon Unique?
It makes Lightning Damage Freeze instead of Shock, Fire Damage Shock, and Cold Damage Ignite
I like the Idea, and Think remnants that add lightning to cold skills and cold to lightning skills would make it a really fun interaction
Something like ice nova ( comet ) plus arctic armour
So it becomes and ignite build
that would be fun
and probably boost it's damage on bosses before getting in 10 of millions of damage category where everyone uses the same unique helmet
If it were me something enhancing lightning you can do it with a staff + amulet
Tree
Yeah, use stormweaver, as ascendancy, to get extra lightning damage too
I like where it is going, might try to cook it, and see how it goes lol
If you cant find the right staff try a wand
path of building says my wand/focus provide more DPS than this staff, all I can see that's better is the wand's added fire damage, does that really add that much damage?
with 500div budget, is fubguns build better than flicker strike and ele hit??
fubguns builds only focus in one thing, and one thing only, screen clear
and given the nature of flicker, they are better than flicker for ir for sure, flicker is more fun tho
block stops 50% of hits, and mark effect stops the phantasms from spawning...
with 500 div you will be lucky to buy one Fubgun's item
aaand I just realized you mean poe1, great...
I was looking at a shock burst rounds build awhile ago and swear I saw a mod on one of the items saying lightning arrow is casted when attacking with other skills
Maybe a unique or something
Anyone know what it was?
I'm still trying to figure out what kind of gameplay I like the most, zoom, tank, CoC burst,... currently playing the last one, tried zoom monk 0.1 and I liked it but not as a main build
didn't try Wolf, Bear nor any other zoom or tank builds yet
also tried minion build: felt slow
and wyvern build the low movement felt clunky but I have to admit damage was insanely strong
im going for Crit Viper Strike of the Mamba Assassin and was wondering if mage blood is better or acceleration (i wanna try the new belt) https://pobb.in/Nri6OJD1SmV4
Viper Strike of the Mamba? Never heard of her. Try over here #1┃build-planning 😄
Wyvern Use Wolf's slams to move fast, most people I've seen playing it, usualy clear with wolf, and burst with oil barrage
the most Fun zoom builds are bow builds... I like lightning Warp too, and would play it as my main build almost every league if it was not for ball of lightning visual effect being so god damn ugly lmao
Regarding the minion build how did you get to do bossing with it i tried balancing movement speed with boots and resistances were messed up went high frost mages through acts and yes I know this isn't your preferred build just curious how what you did faired against bosses
Spectres, look for one thats good for bossing and that should fix your boss damage, pain offering is probably a must and maybe a curse for weakness that should do it
Gonna try it again i scrapped it
you can do it!
Opted to go mage witch
Does Charged Staff + Culling Strike actually work? I'm not able to determine whether it's actually culling stuff.
dumb one, i really don't get it... how it's work, cause when i use this point no way i can cast nothing. if any one got the idea iam a KB juggernaut
I think you can only cast skill that already use rage with it?
But it would be better if you could post a pob of your build
is there any way to utilize foulborn baron better than original
No foulborn stuff in 2. Try over in #1┃build-planning 🙂
Curious and open ended question but what are some solid SSF builds for poe 2 that have a rather smooth progression through campaign?
nothing beats essence drain
usually witch
lightning arrow, rend, shield wall also strong
Thats fair, ty for the reply
What do you normally utilize skill wise before getting ED, do you use unearth or just chaos bolt and contagion until lv 6?
you search for a fire staff ideally, use the fire bolt, contagion, unearth
make sure contagion spreads
Thank you for the ideas
Any suggestions for what to instill on my amulet for a plant druid?
sorry wrong channel
Does anyone know if Event Horizon is triggered by fire spells, while using blackflame covenant? My assumption is leaning heavily into no, but my pathing is using that assumption a lot
It should not trigger with blackflame spells
i know, i was just woindering if anyone knew for sure
If you're asking about the Delve mechanic, https://discord.com/channels/174993814845521922/185829045596848129
oh mbmb wrong one lmao
How far can I use a Tabula Rasa until it's just better to get a Rare body armor?
how do lightning builds leech? do they not?
Late reply, but there's two practical ways, assuming you are doing an attack build. The first is to run Mark of Siphoning on a Mark skill, though this requires you to constantly re-apply the mark as you move through maps. The second is to roll an Amazon, who has an ascendency notable that allows life leech to happen through elemental damage as well as phys.
If you're doing spells then your only choice is really Blood Mage, which allows for spell leech.
I was goign to do lightning shockburst rounds with lightning on my crossbow, not phys 😄
Thank you for the answer man amazon sounds kind of interesting then
Yeah I'd definitely go Amazon for that idea
drats I like the ward skill on mercenary
It won't be as nice QoL but Stalking Panther on Amazon can help with survivability, since it allows you to run a high ES chest piece if you want to.
Looking to start a new character, done a hunter/pathfinder wanna do like bloodmage anyone know a link for the guide?
is in poe 2 a build same as in poe 1 the RF Chieftain ?
Do you know why people build phys dmg on their weapons and not lightning for lightning crossbow skills?
I might be wrong, but I believe while Elemental damage is simple aditive, the Phys damage for most skills is counted before the skill multiplier
so phys damage increases de base on which the skill will calculate it's damage, while add elemental will simple add damage at the end of the calculation
thank you bestie
Modifiers specifically affecting the weapon - ie local affixes - are applied to the weapon itself, and are then multiplied by global increases. Most Lightning Attacks convert your base Physical damage to Lightning, so what matters the most is just where you can get the most damage, rather than getting specifically Lightning damage on the weapon, and increased+flat Physical tends to give bigger numbers.
as for a question of my own, for a Varashta Build is there a spectre that pairs well with Nivara's Fracturing?
check this site out for spectres info https://poe2spectrewiki.com/
That did help, now the only question remaining is... is Muster really "too good to pass"? feels like 7% per type off minion is too little considering the amount of minions needed to be significant
It's 'more' damage, so it's multiplicative with any other damage modifiers, including other 'more' modifiers. It can make a huge difference.
oh yeah that makes sense... now I need to find minions that annoy me the least lmao
I dislike having to many minions specially those with to many effects
Not sure if this is the right place, but am I blind are there just not guides for titan aurabots? Was thinking about running an aurabot for our group, we've never had one. Saw someone recommend titan for hulking form, but damn if I can't find anything on it.
well, your main minion, skeletal cleric and, say, storm mage for shock is already 21% more
Do the Djins count for Muster? they are my main "minion", that aside, Clerics, Storm, Sniper and Cold is 28, but I do lose my Blasphemy xD
why bother with sniper, better add cheap spectre
and djinns aren't reviving so no
yeah I asked to be sure it was not a bug I wasn't aware
also do Offerings buff Djins? I tried using them but didn't notice much difference
You can support the djinn skills with Muster, yes. But the djinn minions are not reviving minions so don't count as a more multiplier if you put it on other minions.
sorry, don't know anything about djinns, really
they are like antipod of what I'd want to play
it's fine you did help a lot
(what I can say is that bunch of storm skellies with a bit of random support cast is best walking simulator I played)
I've seen the builds, people shifted to Empowred Zealots Spectres this league, but they do same thing just a bit more stronger
Is just not my cup of tea, that's why went for the Varashta ascendancy... guess I can't run from it lol
zealots are for bosses, have them on weapon swap
and they are like 20x boss dps stronger, not "a bit"
that makes sense XD
skellies clear better tho
I also added 3k ES regen to it(with 20k max) to make it really comfy
at the cost of a lot of damage, but.. when you regen more per second than most have "at all" you can afford to wait a bit
that's fair, I personally am not a fan of 1 taping bosses, I like to have a somewhat "meaningful" fight, otherwise the game does feel a lot more dull for me
I don't want my game have more meaning than my life.. (so anything above zero)
(also game is dull, POB is true game, everything else is just some meaningless but necessary motions to test POB configs)
so as a company owner perspective all else other that POB sucks
Each game is a company @carmine flicker
All I can do is imagine teamwork making the Dream work with a little collaboration
and why should they care?
I still play the game and buy things like stash tabs or skins
from their perspective it's all ok
I would leave when I won't be able to make a build that can more or less trivialize the game and I will need to engage in "meaningful combat"(in endgame) more than "once per forever"
but before that why should they care about my reasons to play?
They shouldn't i have a go to game for 3 genres right now and was wondering why you limiting to one
@carmine flicker
because I don't enjoy parts of the game and so I try to skip them, obviously
I don't find those parts(combos and dodging in fight) interesting at all(I can do them, but ehh, I don't want to do it routinely - and boss fight in endgame is "every 2 minutes routine"), and so I do all in my power to not have to do them
I will probably quit once that would become impossible
endgame grind is routine
it's grind
it's 10+ hours of game in a row to, well, grind (20-30 maps per hour, go, go, go)
cool combat can be "fun" for very limited amount of time and 100% not when you butcher bosses en mass just to finish the map after map
when you grind hours after hours I want to make it as efficient as possible - to be able to play while watching anime or w/e - and so no to "meaningfull combat", yes to facetank-autobombers(or zookepers. or w/e)
Just switched my entangle druid's CoC from detonate dead to bone cage. Hoooooooooooly crap y'all, SO much better. Especially for bossing. I would love advice on the right support gems. In particular, I dunno if I want Efficiency or Zenth.
Also it's fun to watch. 😄
Zenith is objectively superior if you can maintain your mana levels
But if you're struggling with mana, efficiency is more...efficient...from a mana cost perspective.
Thanks!
I was struggling with mana, but now I'm like "click button and wait for all the explosions to stop". 😄
Quick question is Necromancer back? or not yet
PoE2 does not and will not have a Necromancer ascendancy, if that's what you mean.
Bloodmage curses
Anything with a curse in my mind spells necromancer even if there is no necromancer ascendancy - it depends
is this good for strength stacking rf
I'm looking for a tank build. Not LA KB. Something good for clearing Harvest. I've only played Witch, Dualist, and Ranger. on KF; I'm looking for another build that's suitable for Harvest or an all-rounder.
Low budget, max 200 div. I have Mageblood. No need for Headhunter builds.
Is there any TANKY cyclone build under 100 div
Can you please read the category name, channel name or description?
ive played poe2 since launch and have a few level 90 characters. i was wondering how difficult you guys think it'll be to homebrew my own buildas opposed to following guides on maxroll
the games much more fun when youre not following a guide, imo. but the difficulty depends on your understanding of the game, ie. game mechanics, how to scale
hard to say, because idk your level of game knowledge but for starter, know what you enjoy and play into that. for instance, i typically avoid strength builds and left side of the passive tree. and i prefer attacks over spell. knowing what you like and playing it will be fun even if youre not blasting through maps or 1shoting bosses like meta builds.
gotcha. i feel like the biggest issue for me is in gearing. im still not super sure what stats are desireable on some items etc
i like to watch niche builds on yt. like from low count subs/view. they have a different perspective. while til still watching the bigger content creator to learn
i know what you mean. it can be a lot to take in. and it varies depending on build. it goes back to understanding how/what you like to play, and scaling. its a problem solving process in its own.
playing with friends helps a bit too. bouncing ideas off each other.
sounds exciting. tysm
yw. im just waiting for the new league showcase so i can start brainstorm what i want to play in .5.0. i hope the bring shadow and dagger. i enjoy playing in the 2-4 oclock position of the passive tree
yeahh im rly looking forward to a new league
I am US central - if you want to play together when the new league start, feel free to friend request me
where do I go to find fun builds? all I find on youtube is the cast on crit builds and minions lol and max roll and mobalitics I didn't find anything interesting
It’s a more proactive approach but I go on poeninja and filter by a skill I want to use.
problem is I have no idea what skill I want, so far I tried the Wyvern Shaman, and the Djinn builds... and a bit of Ice Nova Snap, before pivoting to Djinn
I already played poe 1 on pc and ps5 and poe 2 on ps5. I‘ll start poe2 on pc in a few days and i was wondering if there are still builds that are as meta as lightning spear/arrow was before
sure, bloodmage spark/ele weakness comet on crit is it
the two build have defined this league
what is favorite class and then ask what skill would you build around
ex: my favorite class is sorceress and I built around spark - fun
its more or less a hybrid the way the passive tree is layed out
cold and electricity
took 4 acts of farming and collecting rares magic items on two characters to get the pieces for each
some would say that 'trash' is bad
but when I get items that have + 2 level of spell and and corrupt it getting +1 level of physical spell plus a needed modifier then that 'trash' is op
Yeah if I go like that, I will just end up playing Ice strike falling thunder or flicker monk lol
I figured I would try new stuff before the next league to see if I can get some change of pace, guess I'll keep trying skills and looking at random YouTube videos until something clicks hahahah
For me the feel of clearing ads with the skill like spark and a repeat one off like comet is interesting
Also threw a secondary scepter in to get 4 frost mages going
Assuming your Flicker experience is from PoE1, I feel like Monk plays kinda different due to your other Lightning skill options and how chonky you are. I'm enjoying it a lot. Having an ascendancy with 50% more ES & recovery on-demand is kinda wild.
Any thoughts on stormburst heiro for gauntlet? Does it have the DPS for ubers on ssf budget?
I enjoy it, PLayed it like 2 seasons, 0.1 and 0.3, that's why I'm saying if I go for the things I know I want to play I'll end up with that, because of how comfy it is!
on 0.2 I did an Arc CoC CoE Lightning Conduit, and it was Fricking Fun too, at the end I throwed a Head of The Dragon and focus on Gain damage as extra Fire > Cold, So It would get easy freeze with nice shocks too
It missed some "active" game play, cause Arc's CD, but aside that it was really fun
And now this league I had fun with Wolfvern, tryed the Djinn (need to tweek it so I can just pass on using Muster), and am looking for a Third build, to pick an then choose which one I'll go all the way to end game before next season lol
Then to a Flicker expert: Do you (or does anyone) know whether it is currently true that Increased Area of Effect increases the range at which Flicker will chain?
It's hard to be sure info in this game is up to date...
if we could have dummies to test that stuff would be nice lol
But it should have and affect, all tho I doubt it matter if you are doing high density maps with abyss and breach
Yeah, it's mostly good for me to know if I use it early league in the future.
I still find it happens surprisingly often that you Flicker some dude running at you ahead of his pack and you just stop
But sometimes you also go yolo across the entire screen apparently so idk
i still prefer Falling Thunder early on, nova projectiles on it and it clears the map xD
Then again, the top Flicker Invoker on Ninja stacks a lot of Increased Area of Effect. I suppose I can imagine them kind of one-tapping maps...
anyone know if this stacks if applied by more than one banner?
can anyone help me with my flicker strike build? Ive made a good bit of changes to the build but im trying to get enough damage for uber arbiter.
No, debuffs of the same type don't stack unless the skill explicitly allows for it.
In situations where the same debuff applies twice the one with the highest magnitude will apply.
kk
is blood loss capped on bosses?
i swear it doesnt go past a certain chunk
+1 melee skill and and attack damage stack
Or +3
So so huntress have any other build that don't devolve into Twister spam?
Hey there!
I just started with PoE II (am now in early Act IV) and I'm having a blast
Im building an arc sorceress which loosely tries to follow this build guide here:
https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/rusecruize-lightning-sorceress?weaponSet=set1
(except i dont have any of the cast on crit stuff yet)
I did slightly deviate from the suggested skill tree though because I highly doubt that I am supposed to spec into Chaos Innoculation somewhere between Level 30 and 45 and I decided to pick up -% to enermy lightning resistance whenever I can. The guide didnt seem to mention this stat a lot so I wonder if I should keep investing into it or not
(I just know that res-pierce is extremely valuable in D2 and I recall that it was also worthwhile in PoE I)
I have also been trying to keep up with Vaal temples to use the benches in order to craft decent gear, which seems to work quite well
I also remember seeing a short on YT that explained how you could combine this item with a specific skill to make a very broken combo to easily recharge your energy shield, but I forgot what that combo was and I cant find the short anymore.
Anyone got suggestions on how I can break this item?
ah i found it
The combo was with energy barrier but it seems that was removed...
the build guide is from 0.3, we have a different league now, so it could be outdated
lowering the enemy ele res is worth it of course, sure
chaos innoculation makes sense when you have 6k ES maybe at least
only do vaal temple if you either enjoy it or you want a build worth more than 10k divines maybe, you don't just randomly do vaal temple for better items
this is the combo
you just don't use this body armour outside of boss fights, you don't want to ever be stunned, so it makes no sense
didn't know it was removed actually
sorceress has a much harder time being tanky than witch, but it's still possible, get 10k ES, around 1s ES recharge delay and 3k ES recharge rate, should be easy on varashta
i see
i found them pretty enjoyable though they are getting a little grindy now
I got some great gear upgrade throughout the first few acts but with some unlucky rolls in more recent temples im becoming less excited to run them xD
oh thanks for pointing that out!
then i should probably look for a more up-to-date one
build guides for campaign are simple really, use poeninja for supports
just try to not waste your time on useless things like vaal temple and bad items
learn to trade, finish the campaign as soon as you can and...somehow find a temple to leech 🙁
TFT is in ruins, but you should be able to find temple hosts somewhere
ill see if I can coast by with what I have right now then 🙂
Is the campaign 5 acts or longer?
campaign is 4 acts, 3 interludes
oh interesting, didnt expect id already be in the final act then
ty!
no problem
You might like electricity damage where ever possible and yes exposure with it works - fyi
- Also chaining
Look in search on tree for energy shield - fyi
key search:
- recharge or energy shield recharge
sometimes max of something breaks stuff - hence nerf or deletion
reality check with all this op damage we can get why don't they scale enemies based on x damage value
then nerfs to arc ( outside of rebalancing ) can come back
If you rebalanced all enemies to suit the insane numbers reached at the top end, then you'd make the people that claim that only a few builds are 'viable' actually correct
What is needed are nerfs to the extreme stuff, so that the top end isn't exponentially beyond the more average builds
i see
so the weight of low end, average and high builds can't directly be scaled with a value?
to enemy
so I guess I wondering why nerf? when x value go to a range with x
plus maybe an algorithm to go with it
Are you suggesting effectively dynamically capping damage? That would then discourage improving your build and just feel terrible
Other games have this kind of damage gating nonsense and it just encourages builds that can bypass whatever method they use.
what value, what weight? the broken builds need a nerf, usually the skill, the unique item, support, passive, jewel get nerfed
not as in actual weight - the "weight" of devs opinions it about the how the engine is designed right now vs how they code it and is supposed to be done as in coding syntax to how they want it done tying into the engine to the client
I understand if it breaks it breaks
value:
what I don't understand is nerfing an op build with what is given and what we can do with crafting to how it is designed
additionally, behind the scenes if it is a damage issue the value can be scaled to the enemies level and its damage ( this one example)
I have no idea what you are saying 😆
No cap if you know max character build damage work with that - so I guess yes
What i was suggesting defining damage and levels - same with enemy
Example in c# int
With string
Maybe if
Then else
The engine can handle it
some would say no but you can
var damage = new int { 0 - 999999999999999999999999 }; basic stuff
Finally, I do enjoy this game is play i blew up the Discord not understanding because I am not the one doing it even though I got a custom encryption going for myself and my isp keep up the good work and don't go under
GGG does not want to cap damage at all, and they rather let poe2 become poe1 than do this
What they wanted for poe 2 was to scale down "quantity", as they said '1 projectile in poe 2 is as strong as 10 in poe 1" and such
They just forgot to make 1 mob drop 10x more loot, and make such loot better, I'm okay going back to 0.1 and 0.2 campaign days, where you do have to use 2 skills to kill mobs and such
So long I feels rewarded for my troubles and time spent lol
I play Monster Hunter, and I'm bad in that game, but it's still fun as heaven to Kill Gogmazios after a 25 minute fight lol, and the reward is just "Chaos Orbs" lmao
now for a question about builds actually lmao
Is there a way to use minion Pact without killing the minion, and without using CI?
what's a good way for Avatar of Fire builds to life leech?
need help with my c/ed lich
used to have close to 130k dot dps on essence drain in previous leagues, only showing about 63k in game now even thought i think i have all the necessary stuff and more, what am i missing?
you need a +4 vertex, headhunter, dark effigy prism, crit jewels and passives
ms on low life rune, increased effect of socketed items on boots and gloves, headhunter
build in the description
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6yPJEnMBTVA&t=63s
build: https://pobb.in/OzF5wbdJQzRJ
00:00 - 00:30 Xesht
00:30 - 00:34 tablets
00:34 - 00:50 map mods
00:50 - 06:07 mapping
06:07 - 06:20 boss
06:20 - 11:08 mapping
11:08 - 11:13 character
11:13 - 12:12 skill gems
12:12 - 12:38 items
12:38 - 13:05 passive tree
my ingame essence drain tooltip is also 130k, but I don't really try to scale essence drain, it's supposed to be called a dark effigy build because dark effigy deals way more damage, essence drain is just to clear trash mobs
pain attunement and the jewels play a huge role too
aight so vertex alone took my damage to 140k dot tooltip
why the crit jewels?
when base crit is so bad
nvm the focus applying crit weakness makes it make sense
you can only scale dark effigy with + to skills, cast speed, increased damage and crit damage. if you ignore crit damage you shoot yourself in the foot
u think i could maybe go bloodmage and fully scale crit for dark effigy?
sure, bloodmage works, why not
Does Gloves/helmets/boots also count for Hollow palm?
you have to scale the crit damage, but both lich and bloodmage are fine
hi. im trying to do a Resonating Build with warrior
does your melee affect anything for that skill
resonating / shield wall
~~Resonating Shield does use both your shield armour value and your main hand mace damage. ~~
Shield wall only scales based on the armour on your shield + the level of the skill.
it does? then can you please explain this?
Your weapon's local modifiers will not scale the damage of this skill. Damage is classified as off-hand damage regardless of the type of weapon you have equipped in your main hand or if you're unarmed.
because its a bit confusing for me
this is from the wiki
Hmm, good call out. It does appear the wiki is correct on this, my mistake!
For some reason I long believed resonating used main hand attack scaling because you slam the shield with it, but apparently that's just for thematic flavour.
But one thing to note is that global mods on the weapon (like +to melee skill levels) will apply.
i know + melee skills apply. but what else does if you know?
I think things like “adds extra damage as fire/lighting/ice ect also apply, but correct if wrong.
For base mods, increased % elemental damage to attacks and +strength will. Life/mana per enemy hit/killed as well.
Yes, the perfect essence mods will work too
And a handful of desecrated mods. The key is whether the mod is local to the weapon or not.
would this mean that Giant's blood is good then? since double handed weapons get a TON of those stats no?
It does mean there's a worthy consideration for sure. Max roll for Ele damage to attacks is 100% on 1-h vs 139% on 2-h
guess im speccing Giant's blood it is then
If you can tolerate the nerf to your life from your total strength and get enough strength for it, then it’s alright. Some investment into attack/skill speed would be advised too; going to a two hander from one even if you’re using resonating shield it does get slower.
hey guys, anyone have a good budget build for titan in standard? i currently have a level 91 titan, some okay starting gear, some gear to swap to such as uniques and things. i don't have any lineage gems or anything like that, but im looking for a strong build to hopefully build some currency. let me know if anyone has something that could help or maybe something to look into. i've been struggling with getting a solid build together entirely and ended up spending all my currency on probably 5+ different builds trying to get something together. thanks in advance.
I'm trying to maximize my bleed damage with Rake. Does parried debuff increase the magnitude of bleeding applied? And same question for Open Weakness. Does it affect bleeding magnitude as well?
From my understanding, they wouldn't, because they affect damage taken by the enemy, and so they'll affect the bleed damage post application, but not the bleed magnitude itself. Is that correct? (Extra unsure about things because parried debuff says 'attack damage' and I don't know if that excludes ailments applied by attacks or not, because it's an ailment and not technically an attack)
In case anyone sees this later and is curious about the answers, Squigit and I had a discussion on it over in #2┃after-acts-help, which [you can find here](#2┃after-acts-help message ).
Hey guys im going an adonias spark build by operator otter, and i cant seem to figure out why im not generating power charges like he is? and why every now and again my mana just drains all the way down for some reason?ill link my poe ninja and the videa hes going. I spent like 600 div to get this build going so i really dont want to abandon it XD
Today we discuss my favorite Sorc Build of all time; The Adonia's Trifusion Stormweaver, enjoy!

I got a question, not sure anyone can answer, when trying the choir amulet to get the lighting bolt, you want reduced or increased effect duration?
rampage, whirling assault, oil barrage, rend, choose one
you need mana cost efficiency on a heart of the well, high mana regen on the rings/tree, you need to cast frost bombs, then firestorm to generate power charges on your second weaponset
Been looking at accuracy stacking.... other than the Amazon notable it really doesnt seem like there is any pay off for it at all
No gear rewards accuracy stacking as far as I can tell. Have people come to the same conclusion?
it is worth it to stack accuracy of course, you get maybe 5% base crit chance which is a bottle neck in attacking builds, the only trap is accuracy on the weapon because usually the loss in DPS is not worth the accuracy
weapons without accuracy have a much higher DPS
You highlight a very real concern, which is probably why someone quite smart thought to have this be the next ascendency notable in the chain
You have to deal with the opportunity cost of taking something else, but if your goal is max DPS these two nodes synergize well
what do you mean?
uhh I haven't been following the market lately, you would have to look at the weapons there, but whenever I compare them the loss in DPS seems to be just not worth it
in 0,2 when I played amazon myself "penetrate" seemed like a dead passive to me when I was following the market
That would surprise me a bit. Accuracy prefix rolls can be fairly high.
500 accuracy would be 125 added phys damage.
yes, plus base crit chance, still wasn't worth it
I'm not sure what crit has to do with it? If you're taking this node you are also scaling crit with accuracy.
I mean if you buy a weapon with 500 accuracy you get the physical damage from it but also you get crit chance
Right
I feel like you're proving my point?
That a spear with 500 accuracy and these two ascendency nodes is pretty dang good for damage
no, I am saying it still wasn't worth it, you were losing tons of DPS on the weapon and possibly also worse mods
but idk how it is nowadays, I would have to check the market
I definitely grant that it's a tighter race at the top end "natural" spear dps
But part of its enablement is that it shines more the lower the DPS on the weapon. So you can run a spear with less local damage with very high accuracy which relieves pressure to get accuracy on other gear pieces.
makes sense
Undying hate has some really interesting possibilities
is there any build ussind detonating arrow? or freezing salvo
About 10 days ago i gave away all my gear and currency (worth about 1.5 mirrors)to a random guy and quit because of war (I am living in Iraq), but today I reinstalled the game and find myself with 0 currency!
And then a random guy gave me 3 div to catch up... so my question is there a fast build can do heist or lab efficiently for that budget!
thank you, this is my favourite poe2 question of all time, it's funny in so many different ways at the same time, how does one even come up with a question like that??? you made my day 😆
okay and for starters, you are in the wrong channel, there is no lab and no heist in poe2
oh shit sorry i didn't noticed it is poe 2 channle not poe 1
what are the ways to reduce the chenelling time of Detonating Arrow? if there are any
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/xRMD-7356/vaal/character/xRMDxRanger
Does anyone have suggestions on what to upgrade/improve first to bump up my DPS?
do they not have this on trade site .. cant find it ?
maybe the short fuse support?
that's poe1 my man
Oh if that works, then maybe other fuse things might too, thanks!
Thinking about starting a Templar for poe..I’ve never played before
why not also tell us what you want to start in diablo 2? titan quest, torchlight?
this is a poe2 channel
when doing the basic atk warrior build where i hit one and they all die i focus more on armor break rather than stun buildup right?
for leveling a huntress, is it better to go Bow? Corss Bow or spear? I'm at lvl 10 and spear os not feeling that great lmao

unsure if i should do a minion build or a chaos/curse build, i do plan on ascending to lich if that helps?
can you recommend me a satisfying warrior build?
get a headhunter, a + to physical spells staff, campaign rewards, don't use the rapid casting support for christ sake
you have to look at the passive tree side, your side has projectile and attacking passives, so you can do the lightning arrow build
idk if oil grenade is any strong in the campaign
is there anything other than comet that would be good in a cast on? trying to fix my single target but comet just doesn't do much damage and costs too much mana to spam
Anyone here really good with absoultion guardian builds? struggling with survivability big time atm
cant work out how to get stronger
arc, fireball, spark
How would you guys decide if your build needs full phys prefixes or something like increased elemental dmg with attacks and flat ele For example I kept seeing magefist using ele and increased elemental atk dmg is this just a thing you pob to check?
how does Strugglescream work? can I choose my 3 anoints? if so which one is the umodififable one? I can see 4 anoints on each but it says it can have 3 additional anoints
Build centered around Temper Weapon?
I am having hard time finding one.
Can someone here guide me please? What stats should i be focusing? What nodes? what supporting skills etc...
thank you
Well you definitely want to pick up as much skill speed as you can to speed up the anvil animation.
cast speed and attack speed don't affect it, only skill speed
then you want a way to get the triggers out as fast as possible, which is usually just mace strike tbh, though spears also work
any skill that hits multiple times per use will only trigger on the first hit
well thank you, i didnt even know there is skill speed thing 🙂
Skill Speed is the thing you get when you hit an Acceleration Shrine. It feels so good.
Or is that Action Speed and it's not the same thing, still
Probably not the same, eh
Darn PoE and its infinite vocabulary.
First things first get that staff to +1 or 2 level of spell skills your gloves need element damage amulet boosting spell skill that's just for starters
You could boost ele on tree
Skill Speed is the top level term that applies to all forms of X speed. (Attack Speed, Spell Cast Speed, etc.)
not movement speed, that's not a skill related stat
And Action Speed is like, the multiplier on all speeds at all, including Movement?
So for most builds, Skill Speed is not going to do more than Attack Speed resp. Cast Speed for their intended use case?
is Action Speed actually in PoE 2?
I think it may be on a few monster mods, but I can't recall an item or support that has it right now
The answer is yes
go on?
Oh I just looked up your question and gave the answer yes it is in poe2 not going to elaborate
Is there builds for using werewolf with sorcerer or other classes?
Yes. It’s essentially the reverse chill tech
yes, it's essentiallythe reverse self chill tech on stormweaver, cocaine wolf
hi what are the best gems to put with Cast on Crit comet
i know spell Cascade is a favourite
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Mr BJSkinner-8808/vaalssf/character/SkinnersFryer
any advice on how to improve this? Hybrid Melee/Caster. spells for clearing with resonating shield, volcano and rolling slam for bossing. Thought about changing the way I cause aftershocks for volcano though. And willing to try new spells. I did Arc and Warp for a while.
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
Whats the reverse chill tech? If you don't mind teaching/explaining it?
it's tech to allow you to scale your attack and movement speed by inflicting yourself with chill. Enabled by these two items
For the shackles, you need a vaal cultivated mod:
I'm rolling my first SSF character ever. What build do you recommend for pleaseant experience?
essence drian lich is classic
thanks!
I guess thats not a build you can do if you're starting the season. v-v
Not immediately on league start, and it' s also kind of a meme
It works and people do play it
But you give up a ton of defense, speed becomes your tank
it's good at everything including dying
Hmm
And there's not much else for werewolf builds that aren't druid right now?
or is that the sorcerer flavor of it
look into Invoker wolf.
One way to do it is have all elemental damage and cast time incease
So leveling an Huntress with Rake and a bunch of uniques is quite fun... will it stay fun? I doubt lmao
How do Poison spores work, specifically when in conjunction with Plant skills? It says they pustules do "76% attack damage"
Does that mean if I'm using a staff with 0 attack damage, the pustules don't do crap? Or is the 'attack damage' in question here the damage of my entangle or thrashing vine?
don't they "accumutale" damage done close to them?
They accumulate poison damage done to them to explode quicker. But the damage says "x% of attack damage" and with other skills, that usually means actual like, attack hit damage you do. Which is weird because it's labeled as a suggested support for thrashing vines lol
The vines do physical damage, so is probably a % of that damage
Imagine stacking attack damage and physical damage with that
Poison Spores is a support gem, but its action is to trigger the Toxic Pustule skill with the conditions you described. Most attacks scale off attack damage from your weapon (this also includes flat added damage from sources like rings).
Okay so it does need some sort of attack damage to do anything. Weird they put it as a recommended support for Thrashing vines.
well your hit damage will basically be nil on a spell build yeah, but the value for thrashing vines is that you can poison the pustule, which then deals that stored damage when it explodes
You're not wrong though that the raw damage of the hit would be higher if you were doing something like a poison bow build, since it'd scale off the bow damage.
So basically if you wanna use the poison spores on thrashing vines, it's basically as a support spell rather than a damage spell. Like something to cast while using like, poison burst arrrow
And the damage of the spell doesn't matter at all, so maybe better on entangle anyway
Thrashing Vines does really good single target damage, it's no slouch on its own.
Yeah but if I'm an attack damage poison bow build, sounds difficult to make it do real damage.
But yeah, Accelerated Growth will probably pair better for your uses if you're doing the meta entangle build.
I'm trying to do a plant pathfinder. Not sure if that's a meta build, but I wanna scale poison with Thrashing vines/entangle.
Ah, yeah that makes sense then.
And yes, the hit from them exploding will use your weapon damage scaled based on the attack multiplier %
Which is good, because poison magnitude is scaled off the applying hit's phys/chaos damage.
Mhm, yeah. So poison spores is a no go for my build, but good to know. I feel like a lot of supports anyway to get poison going on the plants
Does anyone know the list of chaos skills
Thinking about it
Chaos build
Poisonburst Arrow
what's the "Single target" Skill people use for Rake? I've been experimenting, but is my first time going for bleed lol
and since I'm leveling, I just desingage Rake and span the spinning tornado (not the twister one) skill until I can fit a parry to desingage rake explosive arrow, and spam spin again lol
blood hunt?
I only just got to maps with my rake build, like tier 5, lvl 75, but I haven't needed any secondary single target skills for rake. I just fish for good rake crits and throw out spear field.
It's not like, instant kill or anything, but boss fights so far don't take any longer than like, 20 seconds tops, as a crit bleed amazon
Yeah I just dislike Spear field, I wanted something more... active? hard to explain i think
need tips for imporving survivability in endgame with mind over matter eldrich battery
build was actually doing mostly fine entire story + interlude but Endgame even tier 2 maps can kill me with relative EASE
Do you have a PoE Ninja link?
I mean I figured why my stuff works as a total noob to PoE2, could probs find something by thinkin outside the box
Uhh i can make one in a bit. Im currently outside will make one as soon as im back
Send it here or in dm, don't matter to me
headsup, I might be passing out soon
Go ahead dont hold on im also out for an hour or so
Fair
But, depending on how far in the game you are, there might be an issue of you overusing resource, just like I did with my werewolf and blood magic.
Random question for any of you that consume build guide content on YouTube - does the creator using a face cam have any meaning to you, e.g more likely to engage/sub with the channel?
I feel like that's wrong channel for that but I'll answer you: definitely yes. Especially if the content creator is pleasant to look at (like zizaran or ds_lily for example), note that it doesn't mean they are supposed to be attractive. It's also nice to see their reaction to their fuck ups or big loot.
since I am already here tho - does any of you beautiful people have a build to recommend for upcoming league? Looking for something tanky, doesn't need to be immortal, preferably non-CI and melee
here it is
Life: 1243 - ES: 317 - Mana: 1466
Skills: Spark, Mana Remnants, Comet
my answer to your qustion is no. quality of the content and the presentation of it matters more.
how you sound while giving info matters a ton. it doesnt matter if youre correct if i cant trust your explaination.
it doesn't matter
well among the youtubers I know only conner, captainlance and someone else use a face cam
most of them don't use it, those who make nice build guides
Yeah captain lance is fantastic.
Thanks for the responses so far everyone.
I have a small to mid sized channel and haven’t used a cam to date, am curious if it would make any difference 🤷♂️
I love bigdaddy's build guides too, can look at his stuff for some inspiration too! and DM me your link to get yourself a sub
Hey, as said, I passed out hah.
So your problem is mana loss am I right?
I would ty not using those nodes for now, at least until you get some more levels, some higher gear and more gems.
I would try to cap resistances and gain more EHP.
I could maybe aid in leveling a bit in maps and farming stuff to get better stats to spec better 🙂
I'm leveling my Ritualist, and Rake is not dealing enough damage on Act 3 jungle map
the weapon is a 20-40 phys damage +1 lvl
the gem set up is Rapid Attacks II > Momentum > Brutality and Heavy Swing
is it just the weapon that need to be replaced?
but also i updated the build majorly
your weapon has 20-40 phys damage and that's it?
That is indeed quite low for Act 3
If you need assistance in farming and stuff I can help
https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/1a9db here is the updated one
Life: 1249 - ES: 2256 - Mana: 780
Skills: Spark, Elemental Storm, Lightning Bolt
im good for now. just about to hop off i have been playing poe for a good chunk of my day
like 6 Hour sesh
Oh hell yeah that's a massive upgrade
Ah understandable, have a good one
it does have add lightnign, but that don't count to rake i believe
It'll count toward the hit damage for Rake, but you're correct that it does not impact your bleed magnitude (unless you're running Blood Mage with the relevant ascendency node)
hey, how does passive skill nodes being applied to minions work? If at all? And would strugglescream with necromantic talisman work?
and... if I instilled necromantic talisman onto it... wouldn't that make some kind of infinite loop?
In general the passive skill tree applies to you, and minions are not you. They are minions and they are allies. Any nodes or item mods which apply to minions or allies will scale them.
Support gems you socket into a minion skill will generally apply to the minion and/or their attacks.
Even though necromantic talisman says it applies to them instead of me... then I guess it just overrides that I suppose
Correct, that keystone changes your amulet to apply to minions.
so...
you're saying if the minions have applied passive nodes to them
it'll still go to me?
via necromantic talisman
Any passive nodes will apply to minions, such as "minions deal 10% increase damage" would only apply to minions.
Unless you have a way to get minion damage to also increase your damage.
Necromantic Talisman has nothing to do with minion passive tree nodes. It only impacts where your amulet stats are applied.
I just want to make sure u understand my question
I'm curious about the unique amulet Strugglescream
which I can instill 3 on there
the instilled passives would then go to the minions instead of me, because of necromantic talisman
that doesn't work - is what yer saying?
That would work, yes.
so the minions would get the passive nodes, nice, ty
Ty! But I have one weird question maybe you'd know
Actually, wait
My intuition may be wrong on this. I'm seeing some bug reports from several patches ago that claim the instilled nodes don't work.
you found hits on it in search engine?
I couldn't find anything on it
alright scrap the next question then lol
Thinking through it, the instilling function allows you to effectively allocate a passive node
ah wait I get it I think
So I think (assuming the reports are correct) that it's not really a bonus from the amulet but rather the amulet instilling simply grants you the notable.
It allocates a passive node to me, and now minions are getting that passive node - but they can't allocate it cause they have no tree?
ah that makes sense too
it's not part of the ammy's "stats"
thank you!
Yeah my guess is that under the hood an instilled notable functions as allocated.
yeah, makes sense to me! Would've been pretty amazing to give passives to minions lol
Meaning from a stats standpoint it's just like the source is from the tree.
Agreed haha
saves a lot of potential bugs tho I guess
You need a better weapon, yeah. Are you playing trade? If so, pick yourself up a tangletongue. It's pretty decent damage for that level, but has scaled up pretty well with me through low maps so far, going crit and crit damage due to the 'bifurcates crits' on it. Though I'm feeling like I finally need to upgrade, but it's hard to find spears still that are even close to the~ triple damage they'd need to outpace the tangletongue I'm using. Even not counting crit, tangle is like 3x the damage of that spear you mentioned.
If you're doing solo self found, uhm. Yeah that's a lot harder I suppose and I have no idea other than luck for crafting n such.
So I've come back and am trying a few different things out, I really like deadly resolve and retaliate support gems. Tho I'm not sure the best persistent buff to use with it, I tried magma shield but it does take a while to recharge (and I was planning to use a 2 handed mace on my alternate weapon set with retaliate on an attack skill to sorta 'cash out' on high stun bar). Scavenged plating might be more reliable, since the thorn bonus can scale better and I can stack thornskin + direstrike eventually... But, that also requires using resonating shield (which I'm using right now anyways, but might want to make raise shield my primary shield skill later, not sure). Are there any decent beginner shield-focused builds along this vein I can look at for ideas?
Also, it'd be nice if I could get some kind of life leech in this set up, but it seems like life leech is only possible with physical damage?
Can anyone help me with setting up my config for my AG in PoB?
How do i put in the AG gear so it shows?
Try asking this over in #1┃build-planning 🙂
Thanks, i'll do that.
Oh this is PoE2, sorry.
hi. looking to transfer to the chaos node. only thing im wondering is if there is a way to make the energy recharge better. https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Kat-5058/standard/character/Katake
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
What is this? Can u like simulate any build
Dunno how much this helps you, but you're "wasting" some points (two minor ES Recharge nodes near Dependable Ward, one Ele Damage minor node to the left of thisthat could go into your choice of Arcane Bloom/Convalescence (can easily drop one of your redundant Crit Chance minor nodes as needed).
Also, you're not using weapon set passive trees which is usually huge, e.g. having one clear set and one bossing set, where you can distribute defenses according to what you feel you need.
("Wasted" crit: Spell Crit Chance near Critical Overload, Crit Chance near Careful Assassin.)
Actually, you are double-connecting around Critical Overload, which can definitely be snipped.
Cool beans
I personally really like Abasement once you go into CI by the way
Shimmering Mirage less hot but depends on your needs
i have gone CI
Then I recommend Abasement or a stone charm
or enjoy the "oof"
You do have Dampening Shield but I don't find it enough, your mileage may vary
Oh, Eldritch Will too, maybe enough then
But arguably Abasement is better than Eldritch, again unless you have particular ailment worries
(Ignite I found better to solve by charm/reduced duration hacks anyway because any ignite messes your recharge up.)
ignite is the only one i really worry about
Yeah
I just held the Dousing Charm my entire playthrough
You can stack reduced Ignite duration until you are effectively immune
I think it happens before 100%, forget the number
because you just need to get duration to below one server tick -> not even burning ground can get you
(Apparently, did not try)
I mean HH is obviously dead for bossing
hence why i wanna try it
This build guide carried me into early maps and it was a blast but with too much happening all at once in endgame it's starting to fall off hard. I typically can't even keep up with raising bone constructs while fleeing from mobs and avoiding degens.
Where can I pivot from here? Would appreciate any hints. I'm playing SSF - my current build
Thank you in advance
Good evening
I cant wrap my brain around this,
What ember do i need to hit 2% max res
I hit 1% max res with Grand, does that mean i can attempt a conflict orb to hit +2%?
Is monk just not good this league? I know they got nerfed hard since last league
Monk is great. You do see a lot of Flickers, and it's really comfy. Falling Thunder also deletes bosses.
50% more ES & ignore all res are kind of insane ascendancies.
(Don't really know about
monk though, no clue)
Hey guys, is there any way to socket Moment of Vulnerability into Reaper's Invocation?
Well no, it's an Ascendancy Skill. Those are stuck on your bar, just like the basic attacks.
one of the league starters i've been thinking about for 0.5 assuming the proj acceleration support gem and spark don't get fucked is widowhail cold convert spark
i've seen people do it on blood mage, storm weaver, even pathfinder
but i'm kinda curious if anyone's tried it on abyss lich with umbral well+ a ton of skele snipers to get a ton of proj speed
i have some questions about this particular line on mjolner
will scaling something like shock/chill effect increase the energy generation?
I do see some mjolner builds linking shock support with their attack to proc spells, but i'm not sure if it's because they're scaling ailment effect, or it's because shock increases energy generation by increasing the damage of the attack hit itself
so... you need to invest in attack hit damage to increase the proc rate of the spells?
or... you need to invest in ailment effect?
It reads the same as cast on crit
Iirc someone said to me before their ailment threshold is usually static so just scaling damage will do the job
monk got buffed a lot, what do you mean
It's a hit damage vs some number. Shock helps you cause it's a damage multiplier.
yeah thanks. I was assuming the game calculates energy generation based on a hypothetical ailment that the mace attack is inflicting, so scaling ailment effect would directly affect it....
just a crackpot theory
I just meant with the open hand nerfs and stopping the falling thunder one shot and I think there were some other nerfs but idk I don't read patch notes I just know about those two
https://youtu.be/SGwFyH03W94?t=1018
Timestamped to relevant part, it's just done on twister in his vid
In this video we cover charge generation with Cast on Minion Death with our Boneshatter movement engine, reduced skill effect duration Time of Need synergy, and Crown of the Eyes rage shenanigans. One of the most common issues I see when reviewing other builds is their use of Spirit! Hopefully some of these methods can improve your characters or...
yeah his vid on proj speed stack with spiral volley gave me the idea to try this out
i've seen the twister stuff
my plan was to potentially do spark with project speed stack as a starter and then transition into twister
abyss lich is also nice for solving some of the issues with cold infused widowhail stack since you can get the low life nodes for crit bonus and cast speed
Ok now I need help...
Did something change to where we can't use the Last Lament as a lich anymore or?
Which stopping Falling Thunder oneshot
I mean the "You have to wait for half a second for some damage reduction to drop off" is just globally applicable to anything
And then boom
I still oneshot Uber Arbiter with potato gear
With the whole culmination thing but are they still good?
I didn't play before 0.4 so cannot compare
but see above statement about Uber Arbiter critical existence failure
Never done arbiter but I just know early on in poe2 invoker was super popular and then with open hand people were going crazy and haven't heard much anymore
Also Hollow Palm is like, still totally valid for most of campaign, it just doesn't scale into endgame at all
Which is like, fine, just get a weapon m8
That sucks hollow palm is way cooler but idrc that much
Not that bad to essence craft a good QS for midgame and that's honestly enough (see above statement about Uber Arbiter)
Since PoE2 doesn't have any actually hard endgame
You can murder maps with Flicker and delete bosses with Falling
Only thing you have to work to scale into is max juice Temples
Anyone got an idea what to do for next league?
I love the wolf but it's so boring at some point.
The Melee playstyle is so punishing also
I'm probably doing essence drain + contagion if it doesn't get nerfed
seems to have good clear and survivability + serviceable single target
I might have stuck with wolf if I could diverse it a bit in some way.
Like without HoI and Lunar Blessing that toon is useless pretty much.
The defenses are bad aswell.
Too much to invest to make it top tier from my experience.
And the fact that the drops during your progression (item wise) are terrible makes me just not wanna do it again
I am getting tired of saying monk and quarterstaff skills are not the same thing 🙁
same, I am done experimenting, essence drain contagion each league start now
🤝
I've ended up doing lightning crossbow every league except 0.4 where I did lightning arrow, failed to transition into falling thunder, crashed out and quit the league

just as well honestly, temple fucked the economy up so bad I would never be able to keep up
Anyone have a good lighting spear Amazon build.
many lich builds have chaotic freeze linked to contagion. why?
Did you read what chaotic freeze does : 3
They are using this to debuff enemies which allows freeze buildup from hits, most likely dark Effigy but chaos bolt and essence drain both Hit as well
I did read it and wasn't sure about the idea behind it other than getting an extra defense layer from freeze.
That's it 🥶
Since essence drain is used for damage and there aren't any other chaos debuffs, contagion usually gets the support gem
was it a mistake to choose ritualist to do the campaing and leveling? lmao
Not a mistake
It might be considered less efficient than running Amazon and switching to ritualist later, but you'd have to save more than the ~20 minutes it takes to go swap for it to be worth it.
I've had good enough rings and amulets in my stash to where a ritualist would make as much sense as Amazon in campaign, but since you don't have to go back and swap to ritualist it's a bit more enjoyable personally
its not as fast as amazon but still doable
Yeah I was wonderin g if the extra ring was way worse than the extra acc as crit one
loots like I just need to gamble for better rings lmao
having three rings is really strong. you can get a lot of dmg from them
I think so too, I just didn't had any good ones for leveling, I'm also using the one for bleeding, but I should not be using it that early i think
ascendancy is not needed at all for the campaign
Might not be, but damage does feel lackluster in act 4... but it could be me not knowing how to scale my damage properly lmao
does anyone know or remember good guides for permafrost + frag rounds tactician?
Hi guys can someone recommend a build guide for complete beginners to Poe 2? I tried fubguns LA Deadshot but found it quite confusing because he got Contagion at level 5 while I am lacking the Intelligence even at level 10
Maybe something like Pohx RF builds
You don’t have to necessarily learn contagion it’s just an early/temporary move to help with clear. You should be able to learn the skill by sacrificing some Dex and banking the passive points into Intelligence. If you’d like to try a different build, playing Entangle (plants) is a pretty simple and strong build that’s also new player friendly.
Thank you:)
oh my god what game are you talking about?
the worst thing about all this is that now whenever I try to help actual poe2 beginners I have no idea sometimes what game they are talking about, it sucks
lol it’s literally in the first Sentence.
Brought in the Pohx part because it’s like the definition of taking a noob by his hands walking him through all the mechanics. Thought there would be something similar for Poe 2 but as it seems there isn’t.
Also I got confused with the Contagion part on my original message because of the different level Skill gems (Tried to get Contagion with a level 3 gem) and that’s why I couldn’t figure out why my amount of attributes points wasn’t enough for that skill even though Fubgun had it in the first 5 lvls.
you said 3 terms i dont know, alright
the campaign builds are lightning arrow, essence drain, shield wall
There was a minion setup that plays a bit like RF (not really but kinda), but you'll have to press at least one button with most builds in poe 2
That’s why I tried Lightning Arrow deadshot brody
Saw it had good likes for a league starter and chose that one but got confused by the first few levels because of the different levels for skill gems (it’s a new thing since I’m coming from Poe 1) but I figured that part out so I’m sticking with fubguns LA Deadshot for now
there is no deadshot, what is deadshot?
I would recommend whirling assault titan tho low effort and strong
Deadeye my bad
so confusing. you need life, resistances and flat damage. high damage bow and quiver, no crit
supports are on poeninja, learn to trade
Is it like Poe 1 where at a certain point in campaign you’ll have to be res capped? Probably more like by the end of the campaign right?
how do i find a good megalomaniac diamond to use?
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/wemmyy-2121/vaal/character/GoonerOfKalandra this is my build but id ideally learn a way to get one for any build if possible
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
You put a Count of 1, 2, or 3 on trade and then manually enter the names of passives you'd want
Poeninja or PoB to help figure out what passives to put, check tree yourself as well
You'll end up with a list of 20+ passives and can toggle which ones you want at any given time
Yep, it's much more balanced around low resistances! 1000 life heading into act 4 as long as you are positive res should be fine,
then 1500-2000 going into maps...
It'd take a rare mob with added damage or map mods to make it so instant life flasks don't save you. Or just unlucky timing of death effects or AOE overlap, that's where having positive resistances helps
Anything lower than ~55% ele res is gonna feel bad in maps
Right now I've got a pretty strong shield-thorns build going, but I'm using a two handed mace on my second weapon set to 'cash out' after a heavy stun. Would it be worth taking the giants blood keystone passive or would I just be taking the penalties for no reason?
anyone had experience with galvanic shards vs permafrost bolt builds? How do they compare?
Would any CoC enjoyers be able to enlighten me on the nuances of how people are getting such high energy generation? I have just finished the campaign and starting Waystones. I have never played CoC before and am trying to throw together a post-campaign build with items, skills, and passives I've seen people use. It's of course by no means a polished build.
My main trouble is my CoC barely procs due to slow energy generation. My understanding is that energy is generated from size of crit hit, and then rares and bosses have increased modifiers to energy per hit.
Out of the gate I wanted to see what the Ele Weakness curse version was like to play, but even though it kills white mobs in one hit in Waystone 1, CoC generation is abysmal. Trash mobs I have to cast Ele Weakness about like 8-10 times to get a single CoC cast. Even on bosses, it takes about 3 casts of Ele Weakness to get 1 single CoC cast. I am a bit surprised because i'm starting Waystones with +9 spell levels from gear, putting Ele Weakness at lvl 24. Do I need to be overkilling mobs by extreme amounts?
Am I missing something in my setup to make CoC energy generation better?
For reference: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Jombagoda-9739/vaal/character/Hamarama
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
I tried Spark quickly to see if it was a problem with the curse setup, which would also be lvl 24 (admittedly without lightning damage on the tree) and it wasn't doing enough damage so energy generation was somewhat worse.
Ultimately it's unclear to me how folks in videos are getting what looks like 10-20 procs a second while mapping.
what classes/ascendancies dont require a skill generator/spender gameplay ?
For Timelost Jewels, do you have to have the small passives and notables active within the radius for you to get the bonus from the jewel?
I was under the impression that whatever was in its radius you got the bonus regardless if you pathed to those nodes or not
you need to allocate the nodes to get the bonuses, yes
Or, you can think about it like this: the jewel affects every single node within the radius, but YOU don't receive the stats from nodes you do not allocate.
Oh my god… can’t tell you how long I’ve played differently
Don’t know why I thought otherwise. This changes a few things. Thanks
Basically narrows my choices down to two locations, one having more notables and the other passive nodes, so il have to check the jewels and organise a little better
ascendancies are not builds, you can define a build by a skill maybe, lightning arrow and essence drain dont require generator spender for example
it is a very common question and the answer is simple, you need more crit chance and more damage, but getting both is not simple, you need an optimal passive tree, ideally a good adorned, maybe from nothing, against the darkness, timelost, good rathpit with 7k mana and whatnot
you need optimal supports, lvl 21 skills, tons of cast speed, the damage snowballs, the more damage you have the more damage you can get
so I myself had a 100k spark before temple as I am sure a lot of people do, or even less damage
after temple I could have had a 1mil dps spark if I didn't sacrifice damage for tankiness
thats when you see a lot of comets. don't focus on the energy itself, focus on the damage and crit chance needs to be close to 100%
Using a Bow (Ranger Deadeye - Have the Feathered Fletching node) - which of the two Augments is preferable:
- Cholotl's Soul Core of War (Bows: 20% increased Projectile Speed)
- Countess Seske's Rune of Archery (Bows: Bow Attacks fire an additional Arrow)
The problem is that when using Countess augment (Bows: Bow Attacks fire an additional Arrow), the DPS indicator for skills does not show a change/impact.
extra arrow
Anyone have any good leveling builds for sorceress?
one thing i've always wanted to get working with varshata ever since I saw the ascendancy was a pure djinn command skill build
particularly with kelari since the desolation skill get more dmg per use in a short duration so theoretically if you get the cooldown down really really low you could just machinegun bosses down
these are notables from the abyss timeless jewel
the djinn do not care about the losing life since they don't even have a hitpool
I wonder how low I can get kelari's deception cooldown with this jewel and a bunch of investment
for sorceress always essence drain, for elemental spells arc orb of storms
Invest in flat damage and crit multiplier to ensure every hit is worth more Energy. You gain 1 Energy per Power of the enemy you critically hit.
I'd start with boosting this as much you can from the tree id start with crit chance then crit damage
@limpid jewel
Stack armor and mana regen where possible
Essentially having good crit chance with a good crit multiplier will help you out where your at
45% crit chance from gloves you can find the rest on tree upping it to 100% - assuming you have the same tree as mine
Then crit damage bonus is your next goal
@limpid jewel
crit damage bonus
now it depends if you want to re-do your tree for this
cast on crit should be considered a spell
it is slotted in one
CoC is a meta gem, it's neither a spell nor an attack. It would make no sense to have it scale based on spell damage.
That would actually exacerbate the issues with it, because you'd be pushed even harder toward giant single hits
so there would be no point in taking the crit chance for spells just the crit damage bonus for it
Sorry, how is crit chance relevant here?
isn't cast on crit a crit damage multiplier based type of a build?
so taking the crit damage bonus on tree could help
yeah you build energy by getting crits, which means you absolutely care about crit chance if you're running CoC. But that's independent of whether it should have a spell tag or not.
more crit damage bonus does generally increase energy gain for CoC though, yes
To be honest you can get by with 30-40 res until maps
What is the ideal way to build around a skill like flicker? What should I stack? Attack damage mana regen and armor. What other things should I consider?
I believe I'm 100% crit chance and 330% crit damage. So I can only assume I need bigger spell hits. But in my case the hits come from the Doedre's Undoing, which i'm not exactly sure how to scale other than gem level. Does it crit? So scale crit damage? Maybe chaos scaling as well? But I can't imagine it's worth scaling chaos just for it. So for a spell CoC is it basically just scale gem level and crit damage to get as big of hits as possible?
yes, and scale increased damage and gain extra damage
scale mana if you can
so im thinking of doing a ice storm build.
im thinking of using Indigon and the staff with painters gloves.
this is multiplicative to the damage you do to enemies right?
im thinking of replacing stormcharged on my amulet with it but im unsure if itd be worth it
my issue is a lot of my damage is physical damage
the answer is probably no in the way you're thinking.
This is increased damage dealt by you. No different than "% increased projectile damage" and the like.
It's just a conditional damage scalar
Shock is multiplicative because it causes the enemy to take more damage from hits, which is a different bucket.
ohhh i see i see
ty
also does mantra of destruction apply to all hits of flicker strike or just one
i assume its all but
i genuinely cant tell the difference
find a way to instant crit - much better
you can theoretically achieve this with 100% crit chance plus stacking crit damage bonus
unless the cap it at 90 for shits and giggles
Kinda new and old player
Can somebody drop me or give some good leveing/endgame build for each class?
essence drain lich, lightning arrow deadeye, shield wall warior
Spicy
Minion sorc arc, comet, fireball, @crude hedge @rapid star
Alright, I tried 3 different builds, and didn't find anything that I have "vibed" with
I tried Vashra Minions, cool but to monotone for me lol
Wyvern, using a bit of wolf skills, while more satisfactory then Vashra, still a bit boring... maybe not enough jumping arrownd? idk feels boring have Rend cover the whole screen then jumping into another pack use another Rend
And I'm finishing leveling my Rake Ritualist, but that one is feeling boring already, mostly because Rake don't seem to be doing enough damage? whites and blues die easly, but rares and Uniques just don't seem to take damage from rake, even one at max range lol
Not terrible, I enjoy having somewhat of a battle, just feels bad that I invest too much in Bleed and Ailment Magnitude on the tree for it to be subpar xD
Ice strike monk - battle it up @rapid star
Brother, I've played Ice Strike Monk for 3 leagues in a row lmao I'm purposefully avoiding it
but it is the play style I enjoy the most so far
I found a way to crit instantly just from the tree @rapid star
minion sorc is a battle to survive
position and hurding cattle
If you enjoy ice strike the most logical choice is pure wolf imo
Friend did it on Amazon with the overleech body armour. Life remnants + doubled evasion from helmet/gloves/boots looked solid
Much more skill intensive than just pounce rend pounce rend
https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/Kat-5058/vaal/character/DemonKatt
looking for feedback. all is welcome.
build background :
Demon form Infernalist with time of need for constant cleanse and heal.
im using low dur so i went with ember fusilade.
this build can stack up to like 100 demonflame and the numbers can go insane on the tooltip.
i feel like there is still room however for something more to do. i want ideas. high cost is good because im running infernal flame
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
get 10k life+ES, just more ES on items, mods, passives
time of need doesn't do much for you
get rid of it
I'll look into it, I'm on Oracle, might be able to convert it into pure wolf
1000 HP 0.65s
recovery starts to matter once you don't get oneshot, if oyu get oneshot it doesn't matter how high your recovery is
especially without headhunter
you need 60% ms boots, that's the beauty of low life
but with no cap on demonflame isnt it always gonna take us to one shot regions?
60% ms boots?
you mean demonflame will make you squishy? no, you can be tanky still
you need 60% increased effect of runes and movement speed runes
but idk if spamming dash as demon is fast nowadays, it was nerfed
cuz like i am nigh unkillable unless im at like 85+ Demon flame
you have 4k life+ES, you would need like 20k to be unkillable
but 10k already makes you pretty tanky
how does blackflame covenant work with flame archon?
would likely break your build, since the archon buff specifies you cannot deal non-fire damage but Blackflame Covenant converts all your fire damage to chaos.
The archon buff would still work fine if you're not using fire spells, but then what's the point of Blackflame?
idk feel like itd make sense if it had some sort of interaction where itd work
would be cool if it did
Sure. I was answering your question on how it'd interact right now.
Guys can someone give me some build ideas with Ritualist build with huge energy shield, I wanna use 2 specific uniques
hollow palm or tangletongue
I’m tryna use gloamgown with nascent hope, u think its doable?
Glowmgown and nascent hope
you can reduce the freeze duration to 1% but idk how you can freeze yourself
I don’t need to worry about freeze duration, i’m using Ritualist ascendancy that lets me use charms by spending 25% of my mana
you cant stay frozen, you need to reduce the duration
Charms work similar to potions right? You click and they activate?
nvm, it makes you immune, got it
Yea
how are you gonna freeze yourself?
Do i need to freeze myself? Can’t i just click the charm to activate it?
no, you have to be frozen
Oh… i guess I gotta figure out how to self freeze now, or how to make all hit freeze
I miss having energy barrier support gem😔😔
There's no point. The charm grants immunity to freeze and thus clears freezing instantly. The real issue, even if you manage to self freeze, is that it lasts 3 seconds, meaning you start your ES recharge at best once every 3 seconds, which is better than 10 but still really bad @past wind
An alternative could be that for ever 2 seconds instead
That’s crazy
What’s reform tho?
When minions respawn after dying
That sounds really good
I say 2 seconds cuz I think that’s possible to reach, but I'm not certain. Could be more, could be less
Especially if you can take a portion of the damage you take to minions instead
Then run exploding minions lol 😂
I think it may work by just weapon swapping to a weapon with minions, since they spawn right when you swap
Smart yea
I remember testing a few similar things however, and the behavior was different with no enemy around opposed to when "in combat" (as soon as an ennemy sees you)
Also i don’t understand something I been looking into hollow palm builds and first thing i see is oracle with comet and not using hollow palm at all
I been looking into Poe ninja
Just noticed minion pact support gem btw
Uh I don’t really know, maybe using the speed from hollow palm to build up the rage/glory for the meteor spell thing ? Or some trigger build using the high speed of unarmed to trigger
Comet i mean not meteor
Yeah a trigger build then, maybe cast on crit
Oh
You stack speed and crit with hollow palm, so makes sense
Do you know much about shaman builds?
Honestly, the class doesn’t change much to builds. It’s just like using a few different unique items
So yes I suppose
I been thinking of using this unique for a long time
With shaman, because shaman gains rage base on mana regeneration
Could be interesting, but not sure how much %mana regen you can really get in the current state of the game. Still, it could be interesting by adding indigon to it
Why? Is it because of getting hit?
Yes
Eternal youth? 🤣🤣 + soul teather? doesn’t most shaman builds and rage builds uses life cost instead?
Few people use the "normal" ES recharge on endgame builds. It can be ok if you are ES/evasion hybrid, or if you have both life and ES, but otherwise other means to recover can possibly make you regen/recover your whole hp pool every second or even faster
This is more of an armor build i guess because mana gives me armor
Either way, scaling ES recharge rate without solving the "how to start recharging" issue will make you barely more tanky than without investment
Whats your thoughts on eternal youth with it? Energy shield will protect life so life will be recharging all the time
And as far i remember, Rage builds do drain life overtime
Can work, but you need another way to recover ES, and it honestly won't make you really tanky. It’s basically regen but that works only after a delay without being in danger. Recharge on shield is decent because you can have a larger pool of it than life, and there's no easy access to ES regen. With life on the other hand you can fairly easily get similar results with just regen
Leech/soul teather
Soul teather makes your ES leech after life been full
Good while in the middle of a fight, but you lose all your ES when there's no one around, and are vulnerable when you can't hit (enemy with proximity shield, boss being imune for a bit etc)
The issue is also... rage is cool and all, but what will you use it for ? Because if you just want max rage, there's much easier ways to get that. Having a high regen of it is useful only if you plan on spending it a lot
I just wanna use those specific unique for a build, so seeing what other ascendancy would be best
So what you want essentially is a high regen of life and/or ES?
Yea to be tanky
To be tanky, regen is only part of it. You also need to figure out how to increase your hp pool significantly, and how to reduce further the damage you take. Finally, you also need to deal damage, ideally by scaling of your tankiness
Wish there was a build guild using those specific unique by now 😔
There probably isn’t due to the issues I explained, making these combinations on their own not viable or worth it
But does sound cheaper alternative
A few updates ago I made a build dealing over 1B dps and being fairly tanky for ~10 divs, it was peak
It was nuked since then, but I have the start of a similar build for next update, which should deal great damage as well for cheap, but be tankier
I can tell you about it if you want some inspiration
Sure thing, Idk why I’m invested so much into defensive layers than more than offensive, i guess it for playing poe 1 a lot
the main idea is to abuse endurance charges. If you can generate and consume charges fast enough, then imagine what these nodes can do
Warcries?
Idr poe2 much but poe1 has intermediating cry, and enduring cry to consume endurance charges
I will most likely use totems. Either ancestral warrior ones, or spell ones. They can both consume 3 endurance charges. Totem placement speed is fairly easy to get, so I can maybe reach 5-10 per second (so 15-30 endurance charges per second). To generate charges, my current idea is this unique, with this keystone
then I could use triggered spells that hit a lot to generate enough charges
it's mainly ideas rn, I'm waiting to see if there's something useful to such a build in the reveal for the next update
I may even use both types of totems : ancestral ones have a base max of 10 that I can't change, so I still need to make use of my fast placement speed. For that I place the 10 ancestral ones, and then I spam the spell ones that wouldn't deal damage directly but would explode when replaced with that
so I end up (if I reach 10 totems per second) with 270% max life recovery per second, 1080% increased fire damage, and 240% damage as extra fire
in both poe 1 and 2, there's cooldowns so it's annoying + it doesn't deal damage by itself
Some poe2 warcries can consume endurance charge when on cooldown to use them again.
oh right I forgot
Also if you use totems, you can think about Ancestral Warrior totems, they consume 3 per summon.
but still no way to scale properly the speed, and they don't deal damage
that's the plan yes. That or spell totems, or both
Yeah.
So, did anyone here try MoM + Eternal Youth + Eldritch Battery + lifetap on skills?
I don't understand why it's half time works perfectly and half time I need to wait between casts for my life to start regenerating again
One session it works great, life costs don't count as damage, life constantly regenerates and I'm feeling good, and on my next login I need to wait four seconds between casts for life to start regenerating
etenrla youth makes no sense coz ES is better than life
stacking mana is the meta, but you need the atziri chest, not lifetap
I know that it's bad idea
I was interested in this specific combination and turns out it doesn't work half of the time and I don't understand, if it a bug or not, and if it's a bug - what exactly not intended, waiting 4 seconds for life recharge to start, or that sometimes cost of spells didn't count as damage
Eternal youth makes your life recharge if that's what you're asking
Otherwise this setup is widely used (lifetap + MoM + EB)
Without leech you can't sustain casting, so you play Bloodmage or run the Covenant
So, that life cost count as damage and interrupts recharge is intended?
in this case the game tells you all you need to know! hover over the underlined "recharge" keyword in the keystone's description
"Lost Life will start Recharging at a rate of 12.5% per second after a base delay of 4 seconds. Further loss of Life resets this delay, interrupting Recharge.
Modifiers to Energy Shield Recharge Rate or to how fast it starts will also apply to Life Recharge."
Question for build plan, I know an enemy can only be damaged by the strongest invite/bled etc, but are they still considered affect by ailments they already have, like if you apply another shock or chill.
whats a good build for poe2 ? first time playing poe2 here
if possible it has a budget build that can do mapping and kill boss pretty decently
One poison is one poison. One shock is one shock, and so on
Every build, even clunky ones, can do around 1-2 million damage in a window of 10 seconds or so, and that's how much health bosses have in t15 maps (prior to juicing them up with map boss points, which is not necessary for new players just hitting maps)
Imo you should be playing things that SOUND fun, while staying flexible and being open to potential changes
Do you want to get up close? Stay far away? Command an army? What type of damage sounds interesting? Lightning, Fire, Cold, Chaos, Physical?
Sorcerer, disciple of varashta is good without minions?
noted , ill try it out and find whats fun
yes. plants and cold are probably the two most played varashta casters due to their lower costs (plants are low cost in general and thanks to the wildsurge keystone, cold spells dont need as many CoC procs since you shit out so many frostbolts and walls, the cooldown of frostwall becomes the main limiter. of course you could go CoC comet but youll run into the same issue as other casters, mana)
best ascendancy for plants
I think cast on crit varashta was the most played hcssf class this league
so, i have a phys dot ele, i run 4 heralds. I currently use cull with lifetap imbue on bladefall of trathus to quickly clear expeditions. My question
i can imbue my herald gems (in this case purity, thunder and ash, hive is from the ring) with cull right
so they would cull when they hit
does this cull affect immune enemies i.e an enemy is lightning and fire immune does ash and thunder cull still at 10% despite an immunity?
#1┃build-planning it looks like a poe1 question.
Very curious to hear how it beats bloodmage, lich, and oracle 🤔. Granted we both know ascendancies can be ignored in this game, still curious
@coarse crescent the stage is yours
easy, its better in all departments. Crit chance easily gets outdone with an effigy of cruelty equipped, damage gets outdone by being able to use a staff and the timless jewel node, wich is incredibly strong. Survivability is very strong on varashta cause of the ES recharge node. Ontop you got naviras oasis wich can easily turn the whole screen into an overgrow domain expansion, so you dont even need to worry about getting some aoe in your thunderstorm or even cast it
Hard agree on the overgrowing oasis being good enough for plants to not argue any of those prior points
dang you wrote that long for just that, i want to hear you argue the prior points
Haha
You know I Cut that shit 😅
What is like, the most you can get from the 40% radius node
Most I saw was near the triple elemental infusion cluster but never calculated the benefits
My main contention for radius node is that Gore Spike exists and kinda does the same thing without making you buy/craft/pray for jewels
theres 3 incredible spots for the timeless that allows you to get like 10-12 extra points in the radius without having to have a radius mod on it
gore spike kinda very sucks tho
its so bad that people are still argueing it doesnt work
When your life ping pings sure but otherwise it's consistent 60% crit on my plant BM from softcore
Hence
or 3 nodes in a timeless radius
Why I asked about jewels
basically the effigy focus applies critical weakness incredibly fast thanks to entangle, that's like double crit chance or whatever
Ramping 10% base crit vs automatic 5% base crit
its not really ramping with how fast entanlge hits
its pretty much instant because the fissur + vines + overgrow support are all seperate hits
timelost jewel can be 3-4 more notables, each notable is what, 14% crit damage? plus more stuff
and -1s on the ES rechage is just really nice
and yeah, my varashta gets like 5 extra notables and 10 small ones from the timless jewel
you can get 20% crit dmg for spells per notable on timeless
but honestly the main point is effigiy of cruelty and the ES recharge
lich is alright, it gives you more oneshot protection, but ES already has so much inherent oneshot protection right now that recovery is a far bigger factor
and we already discussed the crit weakness
it's hard to value double crit chance coz it makes your cast on crit better without the need for pinpoint too
effigy of cruelty for varashta is honestly so strong that i dont even consider any other focus for that node
Ninja be ninja'ing but I'm checking the 40% that don't run cruelty, all have higher tooltip than cruelty users
Again ninja is ninja tho but I'm surprised
varashta is ngl the best phys caster in general right now, prolly even above infernalist
Low life lich just seems the same idk, -1 second off the base means you don't need as much to hit 1-1.5 second timer
Lich takes one passive cluster and has that same
well you use both on varashta
you can easily get recharge down to like 0.7 sec and have it regen 50% of your ES per sec
well yeah you can definitly get more dmg without cruelty on high end if you spend a lot more on inc crit chance, but also ninja is ninjaing
Those dam ninjas
