The node explicitly says "on the weapon" so I don't think so. Quivers aren't weapons

im running amazon bleed and have spearfield for clear but if some enemies stand still they don't die, I use rake on those guys but just wanted to know is there any good alt since I have 1 skill slot so idrk what to run. I wanted to make a fun fireball AOE build that I could eventually scale to being good enough for single target, but does fireball just suck?
I have read that ignite is not very good, so I respected out of some ignite magnitude+chance because it’s guaranteed with my current setup and I just use it to activate firestorm for crazy damage on large bosses
And ember for small bosses
I know my weapon isn’t the best, but is my POB decent? It’s my first try so it probably sucks, just looking for honest feedback

I'd go scattershot and Unleash, with Wildshards. And crit will give you more than flat %fire increase.

Yeah, use ignite to trigger frostwalls, and something that will kill single target bosses. You can also add cast on crit later. With your 50 fireballs, you crit a lot.

now you have 100% mom without 50% less regen
Recoup keeps me alive at least. With the 34% damage taken from mana before life, you are more tanky than if you'd taken MoM
(idk if that can work with reduced jewels in tree tho)
BTW what's i mean viable with indigon,
use indigon,stacking lots of mana, lots of regen ,cast mana tempest to drain up all the mana AS FAST AS POSSIBLE
with 2200 regen/s in 4 sec u got 2200% inc spell damage

Does Melting Maelstrom scale with Spell damage or sources of Extra Daamge?
In using rapid shot as a main skill and trying to build some sustain into it but having trouble. I've tried both flat life gained per enemy hit (which I thought would work well with the fire rate but was too low it seems) and I'm trying leech but the physical portion of my damage is just so low. Do I need to invest in leech nodes for it to be good or is rapid fire just inherently bad for sustain? Any advice?

For HC SSF, what would you guys say is the most fun build. Obviously obliterating the game is a lot harder these days so just looking for something fun, tanky. Maybe a regen/thorns build? (Is that viable?) Or something that immobilizes everything and has sustain? idk, just looking for some ideas
It doesn't. Momentum only supports damaging skills you use yourself. The Herald damage is an attack that is used by that skill, not you

I doubt it would be leap slam, but I'm not sure. All your melee hits will build energy for it.
The energy buildup is dependent on your damage and your hit rate, so really it seems like "overall dps" is the best way to build energy for it

Since I will try to spam meteor, I might as well use more spells. Won't have the strength for melee dps, so Heat of the Forge needs to cast a decent clear spell. Fireball probably.

If you won't have much melee dps, you're not going to be casting much of anything. Neither on crit nor with heat of the forge

So you need to hit fast and often. Or a lot at the same time to build meta energy.
And same with crit. It's based on if you crit, not the amount you crit for. And crit rate will be 100%.
I have a question regarding this passive and boneshatter: If an enemy with full HP is hit by one of boneshatter shockwaves, which would get its hp below the culling threshold, would that then cull the enemy instantly? in other words, no normal enemies will survive with <30%hp after being hit with boneshatter shockwaves?

It is based on damage. Energy generation for CoC and the Smith node is based on the damage the hits deal compared to the enemy's ailment threshold

If i have a pillar of the gods and the item lvl is 71 online it said i can have up to 3 sockets but after i added the first one it says its maxed out at 2???
max is 2 for uncorrupted (chance at getting +1 socket if you vaal)

Corrupted is a special modifier and item tag. The process of making something corrupted is referred to as corruption.
kinda new and not used to corupting items lol i know its a gamble. If its like a 10% to get good and 70% to F it up i might not do it lol not sure if it will be worth it

Warbringer Thorns, you just need to use 2 skills: Rapid assault for Clearing, and Rise Shield to cancel animation of Rapid assault. + Eventually you can have some Mobility skills for faster movement. No combo.

in poe1 you can make literally anything work, any skill can achieve some million dps which is enough for all content. That's not the case in poe2, far far from that

It's not exactly 20, but it adds a base of 20 to each shot. That's multiplied by all your modifiers that affect it and the damage effectiveness of the skill
Cast speed only affects spells. A gem will say what type it is at the top when you hover over it (just under the name)

on mobile so can't see the images but it you are comparing Poe ninja, you need to self upload your build for Poe2 ninja. Which only a very small amount of people do. And the people that do I can only imagine probably gravitate towards meta skills.

it's ESTIMATE, you really don't have 80% 🌭 + not All hit's can be evaded without Acrobatics. you can try use some Blind to boost your Evasion. + Evasion is Entropy Based, you WILL GET HIT, just later.

How many Exalts / Divines do yall get on average per map? I always Augment, Transmutate and Regal my waystones and usually get around 0-3 exalts per map with 45 rarity.
I want to upgrade my gear but i wanna know how much value ill get for more rarity on my gear
I unspeccd my map for speed and I get the same 1-4 exalts worth of currency per map running unjuoced tier 6 maps as I did running high stress juiced t15s.

Having 100 rarity makes it feel slightly more consistent maybe. I've been mapping since last Sunday and have pathed to over 40 towers. I've dropped 1 divine solo.

So if you beat the ritual boss, you get points to make that mechanic more profitable, but unlike the breaches or other mechanics it's not based on drop rate from killed enemies as much as it's a random chance for a couple valuable items to be able to be "purchased" with tribute

So it's way harder for you to get the chance to do it the first time than following times because you can boost odds of good things

I'm not sure it REALLY matters with the state of the drop rates. I would wait to invest too heavily into rarity. It seems people are just entering endgame since the past weekend and are all shocked with the drop rates

Ya I would invest in DPS and defense. That will always benefit your clearing ability.
And right now I am getting the same shit on a map regardless of rarity so best case is clearing the maps as fast as possible

"elemental damage with attacks" is additive with other increases and is not a local mod like "increased physical damage" on weapons ^^ if that is what you meant

most bosses from what I can tell have around 20-30k ^^ Armour breaker with just a few nodes can almost armour break a "armored boss"
I think all enemies have a base amount of armour and then have local scalers that increase that base.

it depends on the size of your hit ^^ you can check the armour formula on the wiki pretty sure
If the formula is the same as poe1 (and that's a massive 'if') then you can calculate that using the Armour page on the wiki. Or use the poe1 pob and put in equal armor and damage values

Background: I have a high crit build and have a couple of fairly mana expensive debuffs triggered through an On Crit skill gem. This is a fine situation for mapping because I've got a mana on kill so it kind of works out. On bosses my mana drops to 0 pretty quickly. I loaded up my weapon's basic attack with soul thief to sustain and that would be perfect if I wasn't popping criticals on those hits too 😭
Which iteration of witch minions are people using? Ghazzy feels low on dmg?
Super critical would give you 100% crit damage bonus for 20% less crit, but would only help a bit, not solve your problem

These are my rings so decent dmg rolls, and i have 23% crit dmg on amulet.. and 24% crit chance on helm.. so correct me if im wrong,

Your gear has the same values of ES as theirs? If so, does your tree have the same amount of %ES?
I'd equip them both and see what gives more dps. Tangle tongue gets exponentially better the higher your crit chance

I want to start a ssf journey, and plan on playing crossbows, what ascendancy should i choose? I think amazon has good damage to get started, but kitava or witchhunter are tanky so gearing might be easier. What are your experiences?
Where you start in the tree matters quite a bit too, you'll do quite a lot of travelling for Kitava, but it is really great SSF. with the new ascendancy respeccing, you should be able to start one for levelling and then switch to another Asc for endgame (can't change class though obviously)...
I think that Amazon SSF with the Rake + Stomping Ground / Shockwave thing would be great until you can switch to whatever XBow build you're doing later when you get a good weapon.
Really though think about what your desired endgame class is, and make sure you start with that.

I got some extra rune slots for +10 str. Not too far off from 636
before you buy, bust out the calculator to see what it will really require

You need the keystone or unique that lets you have two companions. While Companions are a special type of minion you can only have 1 of by default.

you can use the lich node "life cannot change while you have es" to set life to LL then gain es ^^ there is a helmet that removes es, then use a lifetap skill to go LL, swap helmet again
You cannot have two support gems that consume the same thing. In fact, if a skill already consumes a charge, it takes priority over all support gems that consume the same thing. You cannot stack consume effects.
If you're doing something wrong it's likely with your gear which is something all builds struggle with without guidance.

I don't go by number, I go by if the mobs die in a way that I enjoy (usually in a good timeframe)
But a dps number is so vague as to be meaningless. Especially with how inaccurate the skill page and pob are right now.
That's a very low amount of life for what I assume is post-campaign
you don't have 75% evasion capped, it's illusion. but 1,5k life? you will just die. Evasion works on entropy. YOU WILL GET HIT!, you are just delaying when they will stack entropy up to the point where they have guaranteed hit.

I think your terms are a bit confused. The five damage types are physical, chaos, fire, cold, and lightning.
Ignite deals fire damage over time and its magnitude scales with the fire damage of the hit that caused it. Once the ignite is set, none of your fire damage modifiers apply again to the ignite. There is no double dipping.
What does affect the ignite, I believe, is stuff like shock, enemy fire resistance, etc. Because those things don't actually affect the magnitude of the ignite. They're basically skipped in the application stage of the ignite so they can affect the damage of the ignite afterward
Magnitude is determined by the final damage of the hit, but not by any modifiers on the target that affect how much damage they take from the hit (shock, fire res, etc)

so for example if using this helm. fire % wont affect it same goes for spell damage. what about damage as extra cold?
Damage over time does not benefit from damage as extra
The only way it would would be if you were hitting and had "% gain as fire" since that would give you more fire damage for the hit and thus a bigger ignite
But things that ignite as tho dealing X cannot benefit from %gain as extra, to my knowledge

For radiant grief, you basically treat the "ignite as tho dealing 100 fire damage" as your "hit damage" which can be modified by things that affect fire damage (like %increased fire damage).
Then that final value is used to determine the ignite magnitude. From there, the ignite is inflicted and can be further modified by shock, the enemy's fire resistance, etc
For example, let's say you have radiant grief, 100% increased fire damage, and the enemy has 25% fire resistance.
Your radiant grief Ignites as though dealing 200 fire damage (100 x 2 for 100% increased). The enemy then takes 20% of that as damage per second for four second, or 40 dps.
The enemy has 25% fire res, which means they reduce it to 30 dps.
If the enemy were shocked for, say, 25% increased damage, then they'd be taking 37.5 dps instead
are you sure that "ignite as tho dealing 100 fire damage" counts as "hit damage"?
Notice that your 100% fire damage did not apply to the dps after the magnitude was decided
It does not count as hit damage, that's why I used quotation marks. For the sake of the calculation, though, that's what it resembles

For the most part, yes. For things like attacks it depends on how much physical attack damage is converted. But there isn't any baked in conversion for spells (that I'm aware of), so cold spells get 100% of the benefit of inc cold %.

I'm not sure why, but every now and then the Gemcutting UI for support gems seems to bug out. Disable Gemcutting Restrictions in the settings and you can bypass it.

Barely played any PoE 1 so I'm not really sure how to gauge how good an item is. I figured having all 6 mods you want at the highest tier would be needed to count as a great item, but I've seen people go nuts over rares with 4 good mods and stuff, so I'm not sure. Anyway, I managed to craft these, I think they're pretty good for now? Definitely going to want 35% boots eventually.

im not a monk guy, just an invoker, i wouldn't know how to go with chalupa builds even tho i have some plans (but that's for much later)
and while access to OP builds (statstacking, herald chain, EoW bells) has gotten harder to get, they can still function at a fraction of their former power, the thing is that instead of 1 taping pinnacle bosses, you will have to go around and sustain yourself in prolonged fights
and to be honest, that's not invoker strenght
however, he got the ability to create ground effect and have extra spirit and good energy handling, so there's some things he can do for sustain (regardless of weapon) but that's still in works
Chalupa has stronger defenses (even if spirits skills can provide good defense) and sustainability, however the opportunity cost is steep (losing the invoker lethality is tough), I still need to play chalupa before giving quantitative comparisons

i hate to say this but light spear is a better skill now, it will probably be nerfed soonish so im still not playing it, nor planning deep maps with it (even if i end up a bit slower)
flicker does not exist by itself iirc, you need additional skill to get it going, its not like in poe, ice strike is a simple melee skill with closing up effect (so its better than flurry in that regard), i still like it, so there's that, im just keeping it close to heart. Storm Wave is a good skill this said, you can get the triple fissure thing (forgot the support) and it can get some distance for pack clearing, its good
however, if you want to progress well right now, its LS + Volt support, its idiotic how it functions too well, just have a backup plan within the week
also sorry, i dont watch other content creator apart from ziz and mathil and that's just to vibes with them (or quick check if some skill is reliable enough, like if I see mathil using something this league, i will consider it good enough to play with, regardless of whats the meta is)

by getting tons of flat from sources like rings
if you dont flat runes are better, but in that case a rare spear would be better
you want to get enough flat from other sources that crit is the best or in contention

For those playing Ritualist, you can equip Arvil's wheel in your 2nd weapon set, and utilize weapon set points to get all the nearby skill effect/buff duration passives to get your ritual sacrifice buffs to over 60 seconds without sacrificing any power in doing so. Only requires that you manually switch weapon sets when using ritual sacrifice.
Im going leopolds with my deadeye crossbow shockburst build. Skill has 82 light penetration, I also apply lightning exposure. Do I need conductivity curse for any bosses? Or would voltaic mark be enough?

The question is what skill you're using. If you're converting all your physical damage to elemental you're not going to leech anything

My guess is that your chance is 15. The other number is how much your crit has been increased by hit chance from the amazon ascendancy. Meaning you have had your crit chance increased by 84% from your hit chance

I don't recall the exact math on it 😅 but for POE1 it was something like, increase and reductions within a category are additive (players, map being categories let's say) andd then between stats they interact multiplicatively. I think the diminishing returns occur within a category, if we are going off of POE1 math.

I have an ingenuity belt and it says "7% increased charm charges used", so when I equip a charm that uses 80 out of 80 charges, for example, it means that the charm gets 0 charges. This means I can't use nascent hope thawing charm. anything I can do about this?

Is it just me or are those 2 really bad for notable nodes? The General's Bindings doesn't seem to scale off your total Evasion Rating and the other one gives you 400 evasion assuming you have 400 armor gloves, but at that point a simple +12% Evasion/Armor rating gives you way more than 400 evasion rating

so I was watching this guide and he talks about how damage conversion is normalized. He uses the example that if you had 100% to cold, 50% lightning, 50% fire that would become 50% cold, 25% lightning, and 25% fire.
What happens if you just have a single element conversion type but it comes from two different sources, for example: 80% of damage converted to fire skill gem + avatar of fire which converts 75% of damage to fire. Would you have 100% of your damage converted to fire? (Let’s assume your weapon only does physical damage for simplicity)
What about a 30% conversion skill with avatar of fire?

Do only hard lvls apply to totems? I ask because I've got +8 to melee making my totems lv 16... but they only have 30 res, or is that what they're supposed to be at? Do the last 4 lvls give 11.25 ea?
skill conversion comes first.
100 phys -> 20 phys 80 fire
20 phys 80 fire -> 15 fire + 80 fire -> 95 fire
You would have 100% to fire in both scenarios, they add together and round down to 100%
On the other hand, if you had a 50% to fire skill, and 100% to cold modifier, you would have 50% of each, because skill conversions take priority

get a better weapon and put salvo on twister over accel

ALSO - important note to twister whirling slash build:
you must focus on three whirling and one twister rotation
its very strict because if you mess up then you have unempowered twisters flying around that fuck up the rotation
never cast a twister outside of the three whirling slash
im not sure what cold twister folks are using for expo but frost bomb is easy and requires no crit

I see. from what I read in my build, I need to get as much crit hit chance nodes as possible to snapshot crit for twisters, so maybe in later game I can just use the skill gem.
youll also want to use frostbolt to get the chilled ground effect for your twisters if you arent already using it or have another chilled ground effect
yeah, twister is very flexible, im not running huntress and im running lightning instead of cold so my setup will be different
but persistence, salvo, accel will be used in all twister setups

and positioning for bosses is somewhat important, you want to have the boss inetween you and a wall if possible, sometimes its not so you just go off your context of the boss arena

technically they do because your hit is higher so the bleed does more damage - also phys % doesnt affect the actual bleed, just the hit
