The one mechanic that consistenly keep blowing me up on T15+ is Expedition. It's probably because i simply blow up as much as possible without understanding it entirely

nah, but in all honesty Expeditions is my bane. Since the other mechanics are pretty easy to handle meanwhile i'm overconfidently blowing up as much as i can and then always get one-shot.
doryani's is funny but getting blown up by random lightning is starting to get old
ive not moved an inch from lvl 93 and my death counter is at like 500
i can 1 tap everything and comfortably do most pinnacles that aren't simulacrum
the point of doryanis is to get armor somewhere otherwise you just die a lot

Not a monk one, but there is a coc spark which uses temporalis. Expensive build but poe 1 gameplay, blink and everything dies.
You have to not go crazy on crit chance to reduce chances of instance crash.

if you are going to use partial fire damage then yes, physical nodes are much less efficient

The answer is defensives, lots of mana, and lots of regen.
Recoup helps as well.
Thing to keep in mind is that mana is like an energy shield that doesn't stop regenerating just because you took damage.

Hello, I'm trying to find a way to convert elemental damage from spells into physical damage. Does anybody know of a way to do that?

Like I know you can sacrifice elemental damage to boost the existing physical damage of attacks, but I'm not aware of anything that's an outright conversion.
I haven't been able to find anything either - just wanted to throw it out there in case I was missing something obvious. Thank you!

I never like this answer, but it honestly is "it depends", and on a lot.
What skill and how you build your character, what other passives you have.
If you're using only attacks, and dealing only elemental though, they will generally (very broadly speaking here) be equal when all other things are equal.
i am ice strike monk running a double herald setup with bell, mostly speccing into crit, got a few last points and idk to spec into 50 percent elemental or 44 percent attack damage

Honestly, two different playstyles and I kind of prefer the normal speed (if not for the node that doubled my curse application time)
Since curses have an activation delay, and hexblast is near-instant, you can actually cast your curse then detonate it just before the new curse activates.
So you lose very little uptime on your curse.
yeah but mana regen does nothing when u are at one life with no energy shield
@tidal copper If you want though, you do have the option to just go for faster activation or to even go with the unique that makes curse application have no delay.
You might be misunderstanding why people go Eldritch Battery and CI then, generally anyone taking that will either be stacking ES via another method (eg. Gaze) or using Mind over Matter, which makes damage come from your mana pool before your life gets hit.

So the unique I'm referring to (Windscream) is actually pretty cheap, and can be picked up for 1 ex regularly iirc.
But it's definitely not required, and no curse speed is required either 👍
I played for quite a while without that unique doing what I mentioned earlier. Just cast curse, cast hex, repeat 😅
If you're doing double hexes though, unless you work out the order they get removed I would recommend just popping both and reapplying both.

Both hexblast and curse application are quite pricey, should be fun though.
Then yeah, you can try to time it but if you apply your curse then just pressing curse->hexblast as many times as you want should do just fine.

Skill speed is just an umbrella term for all different "speeds". So X% Increased Skill Speed = X% Inc Warcry Speed and X% Inc Attack Speed and X% Inc Cast Speed, Trap placement, Totem placemnt (you get the idea)

Every multilier in the game that uses the keyword More or Less is multiplicative

Action speed is still separate in the game. Just get chilled by an enemy and it becomes very obvious

Just keep testing stuff. Expand what is fun to play. What works in act 1 might be bad for act2. Your hurdles are problems to solve when you get to them 🙂
There is no problem combining elements. It happens accidentally by your gear giving you modifiers like: "Adds + 1 to 11 Lightning Damage"
There are many benifits for mixing elemental types too. You access ailments like shock and unlock new ways to scale your build by support gems

The biggest tip I'd give you is: Look for new weapons upgrades constantly (rings/gloves too) for those added damage affixes. With wands you also got the "Adds +x% <element> damage" affixes

It's a negative trait. I think PoE2 has worded this (often confusing in games) concept well. It's the time of the cast that gets reduced, not the speed.

Adds quality to the implicit skill
- Always look through the shops in town for equipment (they have way more gear than your average area)
- Keep a stack of Transmute and Augment orbs always in your inventory and craft normal + magic items on the fly
- Get resistance rings and ditch that item level 8 Iron Ring
- Salvage item's with socket's and quality and add sockets + runes to your best gear pieces

Is quality a separate modifier in a gem? I ask this for cases where there's like +30% more lightning damage in the gem itself and then quality adds +0-10% more lightning damage. It's either 40% more or 1.3 * 1.1 = 1.43 = 43% more and I need to minmax this lol

Flammability does not apply exposure, as far as I know.
If you're just asking if they work together, yes. As long as you aren't applying two instances of the same Exposure (like specifically Fire Exposure) they do not conflict 👍

How does magnitude work with freeze?
@plain meteor The logic here is that Flammability applies a debuff called Flammability and Incinirate applies a debuff called Fire Exposure. Because those are separate debuffs they can stack. However, if you have multiple debuffs that do the same, only the strongest one applies (you can't just spam curse to put enemies resistances to -10000%)

Yeah, this is very apparent if you have different sources of shock with different magnitudes against bosses. The little debuff icons under the enemy hp bar first show a low magnitude (like 24% for me) while I'm using my ability, but after I apply the shock mark, soon the icon will say 31% because the mark increased shock magnitude and a new stronger one overwrote the previous 24% shock.
This is very un-apparent with wither*, sadly lol
There are expections to this though, but they are always stated AFAIK. Stormweaver has a ascendancy node that let's you have 2 shock effects simultaneously
