I just added cold infustion to herald of lightning, I dont want to add lightnign infustion to herald of cold, I use that gem in my lightning arrow and I dont really need herald of ice to proc herald of thunder because herald of thunder is already procing infinitly

Yeah sometimes you'll see items with like 8 stat lines but it's just 6 with some overlapping effects or you can double up if an item type has a prefix that matches a rollable suffix

So there's so something thats confusing me or better yet, not understanding correctly. My warrior can duelwield 2 handed weapons but stats required are tripled. So I currently have 190 of strength ( I know, small) and I have a chest piece with 20% Stat requirements reduction. Is the math done by first multiplying the required stat and then apply the -20%? I feel like I'm missing something please help this idiot

huh, actually doesn't apply to DOTS. I was looking at essence drain, which has a bit of an initial hit damate

guys im trying to make a snipe/plasma blast build on my deadeye and smth weird is going on... When I swap to my crossbow abilities my character gets stuck in this animation. Only way to unstuck it is to roll, or swap weapons with X to not get stuck at all. Is this a bug?

You can use the aura that gives frenzy charges on Shock/freeze/ignite and get the node that converts them to powerr chargers and yiou can like constantly have power charges up

the frostbolt slow moving one you can give it scatter and cast 3 orbs at a time and it slows pretty good and builds up alot of cold

I am following multiple build but i am not having the dps on skill nearly as much as other in the yt videos. What am i doing wrong? I dont think anyone answered because it could be a matter of opinion. I prioritize charges per second over everything with flasks encase I ahve a longer fight but for burst clearing I would assume amount and extra charges?
Might be a visual bug? Unequip your items and see if it changes if not log out and back in and see if that fixes your issue

Both one shot all content in the game, the second just gets much tankier while doing so. Im currently running the first one, mapping t17/18 is fairly comfortable but not amazing, bossing is one shot on everything
just normal, I didnt feel the need to test for aggravated since Snipe just deletes t16 bosses anyways

okay, ive seen one guy on youtube do a similar setup as what im thinking of but he uses witchhunter instead and has aggravated bleed in his build (about 50% chance to trigger it per hit)

nice ur build is cool. Ive been running an elemental frenzy deadeye for mapping lately. Insane for breaches but bosses are horrible without access to snipe. Rolled a new character purely for bossing and continue mapping on frenzy spiral volley
I have 30 mov speed boots, why is my mov speed only 26% on character screen? Is it possibly because 200 armour from equipment? Seems harsh for that low armour

elemental mostly handles them fine. Herald of ice + thunder is a lot of damage explosions in rituals/breaches

because % increased lightning doesnt do anything if you dont have lightning damage whereas gain x% extra as lightning is a function of the sum hit regardless of the source type

Any aftershocks expert here? It seems my aftershocks from other sources only proc when tremors procs. So I proc more aftershocks more frequently without tremors.

you can add 10% lightning damage OR 10% extra damage as lightning, both come out to the same damage
- 1000 * (110%) (lightning damage) = 2100 dmg
- 1000 * (100% + 10%) (extra damage as lightning) = 2100 dmg
its still slightly different because its not added together with other increased multipliers, its like a diet "more" multipliers

i find it easier to write it as (1000*C)(A+B) since adding more mutlipliers later makes it easier
but the first one should equal the same value in this scenario
not really because the correct equation should have been:

1000 * (100%) * (10%) (extra damage as lightning) = 2200 dmg
it's a difference of 100 dmg cuz it's multiplicative

this is the important part because it means 30% extra damage as lightning is waaaay more important than probably even 100% lightning damage because you're already getting hundreds if not over 1000% lightning/spell damage from archmage and other sources

I need some help. I really like the concept of acolyte of chayula monk and I really like DoT's, so I wanted to do a hexblast DoT build for that class. The problem is, most people are running hexblast with infernalist. Im not sure if the infernalist hexblast is DoT focused but would it be more effective to focus on Acolyte or Infernalist for hexblast dot build?
I just dont wanna hit endgame with acolyte and feel regret cause its not fun

I.e. will I benefit from both / will it 'snapshot' the bonus poison dmg from first shooting the gas grenade even after swapping to another weapon set?

new character u need to have at least some currency saved up to get some life regen gear, probably about 2-3 divs and you can set it up. And yes go by the 7-div one. The other one is reliant on a bunch of 2% max fire res jewels that get very expensive.

whatever you use to start the ignite the basic principle is that it has to hit hard - hammer of the gods, comet, snipe, plasma burst, something that has a big initial hit, otherwise it a) won't ignite reliably, and b) ignite damage would not be worth it at all

How can I stack energy shield on invoker monk? Lvl 70 capped resistances other than Chaos. I have a body armor with 1300 evasion. With it on I get 204 Energy Sheild. get attributes on gear, which you must have pretty poor gear so far with totals that low, to be expected if it's your first 70
first priority should be finding a body armor with better amounts on it
demon form makes you lose life, so life recharge will be fully disabled

it seems that on single target it's useless because it only triggers on death, while on AoE bursting plague has a 0.1 sec cd so it only pops once in a full pack if they die together

probably it's because of how your gems are set up, you probably have more scaling on auto and utility on active skills. also consider the fact that some skill gems are not calculated right

probably not, in most cases a skill that 'stays out on the ground' in some manner, or a slow projectile, will either disappear when you weapon swap or else not change properties if you do, pretending you never swapped
there's probably room for bug abuse there if you find some special trigger

permafrost has inherent freeze buildup, so unless youre doing a metric ton of cold dmg with hailstorm thats your best bet - or get a bow on weapon swap to escape shot

it seems like unless you explicitly build into a lot of freeze buildup, you have to use the inherently "more" freeze buildup skills to reliably freeze

I have 70 spirit from campign, the only boss on map that looks like i missed was bog witch act 3 cruel. i beat her and thinking now i have 70 and one of hers is 40. I can see king in the mist tile but looks complete as well even indicating +30 spirit. I cant find the 1st bog witch though it does not show on my act 3 normal anyone know a solution to this missing spirit?

so ive been planning a build which i think is interesting but ive never really tried to plan a build in advance before and im struggling to round it off: the core idea is using titans 50% increase of minor passives to build into something that only has limited support on the tree: heralds.
with titan and the 3 herald nodes you get:
66% reduced reservation for heralds (all 3 can be used for 31~ spirit)
150% damage to heralds
30% aoe to heralds
36% increased damage
50% increased fire lightning and cold damage
now the main thing im struggling with is what setup i want to use to inflict shock, freeze, and overkill with attacks in one go, and also how to tackle bosses as heralds have limited use there. any ideas?

i have 1.7k hp, 500 shield
2.5k sorc ward
and u can randomly get 1 shotted by a physical hit
50% evasion too
best advice i can give you is add that support gem for more projectile speed
and blast everything offscreen before they can hit you
i dont really wanna go sorc ward cause elemental dmg isnt my main threat

Yeah that’s mostly just warrior skills being so sluggish
So you get pelted while casting
splash mace and hammer/perfect strike is very good
you still are stuck with warrior defenses but at least you get clear and damage
yeah is like they went "lets make elden ring attack animations" while designing game for poe1 combat speed

I don't think life recoup applies to self inflicted damage with the way that it's worded
hulking form into whatever you want really. but if leveling grab aftershock first and then respec aftershock when you get second ascendancy

just damage supports i think whatever is recommended there is fine as long as its not pure phjys related
