If youre familiar with PoE1 mechanics, then you should be fine. Monk is less tanky, focuses on lightning and crit, or spirit stacking and aura stacking. Not awful feeling, but can be complicated.
I would suggest mercenary as a starter since it doesnt scale off of gear too hard and itll give you a chance to farm for +1 level gear as you go.
Marauders not too bad if you go for strength stacking dual wield 2h

Viable? Meme? Dead as soon as you take the phys as chaos ascendancey? Pyromantic pact actually do anything for melee?

Youll have 750 ehp, but like papa juice said, your numbers will use the 1000 for calculations

because youd evaluate the value of an affix based on what type of thing its on because youre giving up space for potential other affixes that could be better and not all affixee roll on every item type
youre looking for something without much button pressing? i think witch with minions might be good? never tried it but thats what I got from watching some builds
Get as much life as you can then convert it to spirit, rest is up to you.

I use Eldritch Battery and Mind Over Matter to use my mana as health and it works fine.
If you deal alot of base lightning damage the increase is prob better, if you have a lot of %increased lightning value already the flat value does alot too

once u got MoM, the damage before life doesn't matter.

It seems that way but there is two other groups of nodes right next to MoM that make it work better so if you're targetting Mana regen/recoup its all over there anyway

I'm trying to get to the dmg number in tooltip to understand how to scale dmg in excel. Am I missing something other than crit*(spell+chaos)? I seem to be about 3% off on my chaos number and 25% off on my "extra lightning" number. This makes me think that I am not seeing a "spell dmg %" somewhere. Any ideas?

well cast on shock is better for me because I consume shock instantly but it can be used interchangeably
i just realised that the nodes of blood mage form a heart
what node make your hp blue and what does it do
its 100% increased which isnt worth losing that much damage until I get a better weapon sadly
in their plans to form a heart they make us weaker >.>
but if/when I get a better staff it could be worse

The Witch Ascendencies don't make any sense, why does the blood ascendency have a node that adds elemental damage to bleeding magnitude but not chaos?
That's the whole point of Witch being separate to sorcerer

they might also be trying to limit how strong it is
considering theres a few things that can give you a lot of damage as chaos
he hasnt seen the witch hunter bleed bow build
the infernalist is good, the blood mage is wonky, the grasping wounds is awesome, maybe crimson power but that could be buffed, and life remants.
The rest needs full out changed as it sucks.
Then change the node to something else, of all the classes Witch Ascendencies feel the least in line with it's arche type

Yeah but a whole ascendancy being just get more spirit and a doggy is a little underwhelming. And I don't mean necessarily underwhelming in power but in the "cool factor' for lack of a better word
The demon form was fucking cool as shit, but it goes counter to what a which is all about
doggy+spirit is a ton more minions for a minion based witch, demon form with infinite stacking is cool late game
And the other nodes are all about fire damage

Is it just me or is merc very squishy. 70% armor, resis (except fire 71) all on 75% and Evasion on 67%. Still oneshot lot of times in T15 Maps

one is lv2 and the other lv3, but the lv2 has +29% damage, does the lv3 wand "cover" that +29 damage?
No the level of the skill doesnt affect the stats you gain from the wand for other skills
only the chaos bolt skill itself
as for if the wand covers the dmg of specifically the chaos bolt or not doesnt matter too much because you dont really use chaos bolt as a main damaging ability

how do melee classes like mace users deal with elemental/spell damage? seeing as armour only defends against physical damage?
Elemental Resists
Everyone gets elemental resists for elemental damage
Normally the issue is dealing with phys
Also spells can deal phys but its protected against by armour normally
Ideally you'd get something on top of resists, but thats the baseline
25% attack speed or 30% more damage as fire, which is better
depends on how much attack speed you already have

yep theres 2 supports, i cant remember the names exactly. one is splitshot that makes 3 projectiles at a time.
theres another one which gives you up to 2 charges over time and when you use it it duplicates the effects.
you can make it so you just tap the button and all 7 fire balls are made instantly. its pretty good.

Yeah idk I think it feels just fine with unleash as long as you don't get any INCREASE duration on the tree. Self casting it with decreased duration sounds like it would always suck.

so you're slotting reduced duration to cast it more often for less damage
there's also the unleash buildup time but its pretty fast

if i have "regenerate 1% of life per second", that means i can regen all my life in 100 seconds? for example, if i have 2000 hp, it would be 20 life per second?

now I just stack ES with faster recharge and tank anything instead

yeah but I'm having the exact same experience as just using life flask. it doesn't mitigate damage and it takes a lot of nodes and resources to get substantial

I was trying to use high ER + ghost dance to constantly replenish ES to give life recoup time to regen thru damage taken to function as a form of mitigation

in general poe 2 just have bad recovery and we pretty just relies on life flask
i think recoup is pretty niche for certain builds

if its chrono you prolly can stack es start so its 2 seconds and press time freeze to stop eevrything and regen your ES

76 stormweaver, using frost bomb as main clear with echo + 40% area + area passives. For rares/stuff hitting the fan I use hypothermia into frost walls into wildshard/scattershot firebll with frostbombs beneth. I also have ball lightning/lightning warp to get out when I'm trapped or cornered or to execute things.
im just unsure on how to sustain the mana, sure theres flask but since MoM is 50% less the regen gonna be a slog

Curse is super easy to apply if you just get a little bit of "Increased Area Of Effect Of Curses" on a Jewel, my curse aoe is nearly 3-4x bigger than it was before, it's amazing

Guess I'll just go for it.Noob here with a few questions that will make or break my build. 1) does cast on ignite only gain energy on newly ignited enemies or does each time you refresh it with say a steady stream of incinerate count? 2) does demon form for infernalist take 0.5% of max hp per stack, or current hp, or max unreserved hp (I'm hoping I can using the hp reservation skill points to save room on -max hp uniques) 3) does ingenuity belt multiply all passives, or just the positive ones. For 1 I am uncertain, but an alternative is (If you ignite enough) use elemental discharge and consume it and then just reapply it

However, what about Cold Exposure? As far as I understand, it affects the enemy resistance, not your damage, meaning it won't send the enemy into negative resistances?

Speaking of negative resistances. How much cold res do bosses generally have? As in, what's considered weak (red), neutral (white) and resistant (yellow)? On top of that, if I were to send the boss into let's say 30% negative cold res, does that mean that ALL of my cold damage will be increased by 30% compared to the boss having 0% cold res?

Anyone have any ideas or builds for a full Ice sorceress? I can't seem to find much to make it work besides fireballs converted to cold, but that kills the server and I usually die while it catches up.

mana usage very much depends on skill levels, it's easily manageable unless you have a lot of + skill levels
any Pathfinders available atm that can help me out with some gearing help

ok, because I'm going to be resetting cooldowns, as well as instantly reloading and resetting THAT cooldown, so it'll basically be machine gun grenades + hammer of the gods. SO I imagine I'll need tons

No, armour miltigates phys damage from hits, since he capped, it miltigamtes alot, that where recovery is coming from. Its kinda bait moment, since white monsters doesnt deal alot of damage, and armor effectiveness drastically drops towards more noticable hits

I just hope this is realistic, crossbow is the only weapon that has any significant number of CDs that synergize with half of chrono acendencies. I'd have to think they intended it to be used by chrono

nope was just a +1 all minion skills, +damage, +attack speed scepter with some extra spirit
on minion build scepter is just a stat stick
i used the common cheap 50 spirit shield with it

Hi guys can I check if I can stack marks using hand of chyula with monk? For example freeze mark plus voltiac mark.
When I placed both marks, the animation only shows 1 mark being applied.

Multiple Ignites can exist on a target at once but only the highest damage Ignite is the one actively dealing damage at any time

@crisp star There is some unique that gives them ES based on their hp.
Always this, going titan and then going for a really high hp amulet with the keystone haha
but this is barely anything when it adds onto the tree nodes :P
get the xophs blood neck with the amulet node
another 20% inc max life on minions
though flat life may be better hmmm

Did they nerf Eldritch Battery in some way? Scaling + Energy Shield doesn't affect my Mana at all..
