Depends on what your setup is, there is a node to make you immune to chaos damage

Hello, need to understand something. Just got cast on shock and I have 62 Spirit, but when I equip it, it says not enough spirit :/ - I have removed my previous presistance buff (ice shield)
Do you have any spirit cost increasing support gems on it?

like if i have hypothermia + cold exposure on a mob giving it -50% resist
and i crit on monk with completely ignore on elemental resists

yes but going off from poe1 if you dual wield you attack with your main hand wep and then with your off hand. in poe2 it seems to be the same way with some skill having some interactions like molten strike double proj

stack proj count and then realized that enemies could only get hit by one
This completely ruins the entire build i wanted to do
But it doesn't make sense because perfect strike attacks with both weapons too but it's not a projectile attack yet still looses damage
In what world does it make sense to triple the attribute requirement for the ability to dual wield weapons but then turn around and make it do less damage?
anybody know how endless munitions interacts with scattershot on crossbow?
since scatter shot currently makes it a burst, doesnt endless munitions add 1 or 3 shots?
30% less as dual wield, but there are some pros from dual wield. some passives are for dual wield and im not sure if u get block chance for dual wield 😄
on another note is it an addtiional projectile per shot that i fire from a cross bow, or just 1 per reload?

i guess u can take some axe and some mace nodes in passives to increase the damage if near em in ur passive tree to increase damage. dunno if it will work to increase damage that much. as ive checked there are not much passives for dual wield 😄
Yeah, this looks like a wild one. I think you're right though. Any elemental damage you do gets converted in thirds
pretty great for some builds that uses ailments. there are some support gems that can boost damage the more ailments enemy has. maybe even passive tree can boost that damage

question, if you take Eldritch Battery, do % increases to energy shield apply before or after? in other words are % increases to max energy shield useless when using Eldritch Battery, or are they beneficial?
When you get Giant's Blood, do the 2 handers count as 1-handers know in terms of nodes where it says "One Handers Get X"?
Unfortunately it's a conversion so increases to energy shield won't apply to the mana. Just the base ES is converted to mana

Yeah, it seems like a lot of decisions made for the early access really limit what players are capable of building. Hopefully that's just for testing and more variety will be available with updates
I looked and saw that I didn't have %100 chance to hit.
I'm going to see if that helps but now I need another 5 levels to try and nd dual wield again
Just like how the first ascendancy trial pretty much guarantees mace builds can't ascend until act 3.
Unless you have really good move and attack speed to offset how freaking slow the attacks are and no real good ranged options

how do yall deal with mana on merc. There's literally 0 mana nodes anywhere on the tree that's easily accessible for him. Do you prioritize it on gear, or you just chug those potions all the time. I'm still in act 1, but already starting to feel like I'm running out quick and have to rely on potions

It's one of the biggest parts of a character.
there are specific nodes for spells and there are overall crit nodes
it is a nice power boost but doing sanctum on lvl 22 is interesting to say the least

i think stun threshold increases ur active block pool / decreases chance to be stunned

in general right side build usually use evasion, that means you need to not get hit, idk about LA but Archmage is really strong

Hmm, both would benefit the hit/source of the ignite, pen only ofc for mobs with resistance higher than 0. So indirectly only I'd say. Ignite itself scales with magnitude, ignite damage and ignite speed and duration.

Not sure tbh, flammability lowers resists as example. Generally though anything that benefits the source of the ignite , makes the ignite stronger and then you can scale ignite separately with the mods I mentioned above.

You could have 2H as second set for the slams. If you go warmonger there's also one node for passive blocking I believe.

I see, in that case I'd recommend trying both and see what feels better. Also try experimenting a bit with the active block in engagements. If you find it too cumbersome going full power 2H might be good.
Also maybe 2H for mobs and shield+ for bosses.

Upgrading to higher level weapons can be very beneficial to damage. You can regal and exalt them if blue mods are good.

My whole build is kind of based around elemental ailments and them not stacking breaks everything
I do alot of single target, but I really want to get ailments to be triggered more often on smaller mobs and am working towards that as a monk caster
Ignite and Shock are limited to one stack unless you got an effect from somewhere that changes that.
The ignite damage could potentially be increased by the shock effect though.
shock is like a stun/daze, ignite is a ailment

the percentages of increases on my build are all increased the same amount currently
however I have more shock/freeze build than say ignite atm, because there is more available on gems
@young meteor I’m running the same gloves on mu stotmweaver and it shows different ranges for each element in the breakdown for fireball. Looks like I’m getting more effects from the highest damage range. I’ve not had time to really test much. Is your ice damage range the highest?

hello, for monk (mostly elemental using storm wave, charge staff, tempest flurry + ice stuff too etc) are these energy shield nodes worth it for survivability? I was dying a lot and put them in, but not sure if theres a difference and dont want to spend 1000's of gold swapping back and forth to feel it out again
6 levels of points is a lot, but they read like they all stacked together nicely
your tree is too compressed. You beat around the starting nodes, but often best value nodes require you to venture out further into the tree
theres a lot of good stats early and i wanted the elemental stuff, + attack speed and movespeed. I can move it out as i get higher level possibly
i plan to do something along these lines
picking up stuff in the circled areas
the quarter staff stuff maybe all of it, not sure yet
but back to the original question, is filling out the energy shield + evasion entire node worth it?

here's how my frost monk looking rn
ok cool ill look into some of those nodes look good
if you focus on one element there's some very powerful passives right at the top there
which boost your damage massively if you apply elemental ailments
if you apply multiples can get even crazier if you stack them
ya i have those, but was honestly doing shock + freeze
trying to hybridize thought it was cool
and that node you have with 50% increased if effected by heralds
i was planning on trying to run herald of frost and lightning once i can
big boost. Issue with herald of frost is it's useless on bosses
but with that passive it gives you good damage bump all around
was filling out allt his stuff for both shock freeze
then gonna head over to that herald node

so totally worth i slot it instead of thunder right now

my boss dmg is really good atm
there's also interesting group of passives on the bottom left there. I got one for frost
you can add more for lightning
and it gives overall elemental damage too
im running bell with 40% dmg, -40% area. And 10 second cooldown + 40% dmg support. And i use it for big elits and bosses only
ya those seem good, the penetration ones too
bell is very good. I kinda skipped it for act 1, thinking it won't be good. But for bosses it's a godsent
i just made a new staff it increased my tempest flurry dps from 460 to 950 on the skill gem tooltip
didnt want the fire dmg but it rolled it when i used exalteds
the physical dmg seemed good, bc all the elemental skills convert a % of physical
someone i spoke to said its one of the highest dmg increases for monk despite the elemental build
and it did give me massive number boost

That is what I used earlier
where do get dmg when close support im not seeing it when i search
primal armament, martial tempo, crescendo. It's what I run on ice strike which is my default auto attack. Crescendo adding one extra use of the finisher attack is actually incredible for wave clear, and boss damage if you can squeeze full 4-piece combo

well I would add are of effect to the bell because concetrated will boost the dmg hit on the bell, but so does dmg from the skill hitting the bell. so you get 4 hits of extra dmg and it still applies to the bell
i typically use the bell for single target so dont care about aoe on it too much but ya i could
i had the aoe on herald of frost
so it triggered bigger chain explosions for clearing

another thing thats nice for bosses + big elites, is meta gem hand of Chayula with frost mark and voltaic mark (from bow skills) on it linking with the meta gem

you have it on weapons armors trinkets
there are lots of nodes that improve the amount you leech

open the skills menu and hit the arrow
it says attack speed on the skill if it is a bow used skill most likely. So attack speed increased would effect the speed in which you can attack with the skill

basically every single item needs str, plus str nodes, plus -req on the wep can help the transition as well.

Crossbow damage Crossbow reload and attack damage are always good, depends on your build but crit is available though the state of atk crit for merc is really not good

But those aren't normal wands/staffs, those are uniques where you look at completely different factors because mods are preset. Those are usually not great as weapons because +skill level is usually much better, unless you have a very specific build

@tropic river hey :p I had an idea what if you play blood mage take this, you overflow your life and get good ignite with the other unique that make you spread ignite. Since you don't cast spell you don't lose life from your passive and could take all defensive node of bloodmage or you could have some low level spells that you put all crit gems on it to still get life orb on bosses maybe even cast on ignite. 🤔

basically it's not a % elemental dmg, it's a % elemental dmg that increase the BASE elemental dmg of your weapon if you have one. The damage on your weapon is like the base on which everything else is calculated that's why for attack builds it's the most important stats

100% shock is applying it to your base value. i.e if your shock chance is default 10% then the gem makes it 20% (+100%).
giant blood is too good to not take it imh

So I think I confirmed that minions do not count each other as allies and they do not count actual players as allies either or allies stats can not be transferred to minions, the +100 health transfered because all my minions health went up by 200-300 with the +100 plus modifer minion health bonuses. Oh well was worth a try.
My idea/Was hoping by giving the amulet allies stats to my minions, they would then pass it back to me as I am an ally and to each other as minions are allies etc but it doesn't work.

Hiya! I'm looking at low HP high ES Demonform builds rn, and I wonder...How do they mitigate Poison and Bleed? Do they just use charms? We have like 300 Health and Poison/Bleed just pierce the ES :I Poison duration reduction is ONLY on chest (60%) and ailment reduction is on tree once (10%) so you can't become poison or bleed immune.
I think a combo of these two can keep self-ignite running, but I cant find enough merit to do it atm
bleed can only happen if the hp is damaged, as for poison i would asume they have MoM
Bleed should not be a problem cause as far as i know it only procs when you get a hp it
oh yeah ! and what about using infernalist ?
for poisen charm it is because i doubt you can run MoM with selfcast
