It reduces the duration every subsequent time someone is frozen in time, but does it ever have a "minimum" duration? Will it eventually just be fractions of a second if a boss remains alive long enough (ie. If I'm playing with friends and boss scaling go brrr)

im running a basic lighting arrow build and i was wondering which bow would be best to use, idk exactly how having an extra arrow vs +2 split ends up affecting the dmg
my advice when you take your ascendancy don'(t take your point until later it make you lose so much life on each hit that it become complicated until you got enough crit but at that level you don't have lot of crit

to be able to use pain attunement you need to always be low life, under 35% life

my m8 is titan warrior, he. i have blasphomy of vulnerabilty always on, he cooks and stuns. his stun boosts my dmg even more. vulnerable makes physical 1.5 increase. boneshatter then has 400% increase to crit chance and 300 to dmg. then demon form makes my spel 5 lvls higher.
@weak knollthe issue is you can't stay at 1 hp because of the life cost but need to stay under 35% life maybe it would be manageable but with each cast you'll lose life. Idk how to balance it to cast without dying.
i used it for aoe though, and now it isn't that great, so i need an alternative lol

For shock builds mana seems more important. On freeze build it doesn't do much for dmg unless you're actually lacking in mana which would be hard if using your flaks
all conversion and "damage gained as x" now only scales with the target damage type

I'm at a similar point that you are. I had a hard time surviving so I took ES. I'm currently building crit but may change that for energy generation for better EI and CoF

There's no way to make bleed stack correct? So bleed will functionally do nothing for Bonestorm, since it's 20 small hits

they changed a lot of ailments, idk if its the same as in poe1
frost bolt leaves a chilling ground doesnt actually chill itself
boss is still chilled tho
the issue with frostbolt chilling ground is
it can only apply chill once while the ground is up
meaning you have to keep casting frostbolt then cold snap then frostbolt and at that point you might aswell explode the frostbolts
my whole experiment is to use lightning skills to apply chill
so it builds up cast on shock
and triggers the shatter on it
As a titan using 2h mace, sunder and perfect shot for big dmg. (wil ditch perfect strike later on)

how does internalist "hand of beidat " work where it reserves 25% of your max health if you have chaos inoculation, it shouldnt because your max hp is 1 right? also how would the interaction work with kaoms heart? if i reserve 25% of my max health for extra spirit, but kaoms heart says "you have no spirit"

there are hits and damage over time, no inbetween, and nothing you mentioned was damage over time
actually i think there was a glitch? in poe1 a long time ago where trying to reserve life with CI would kill you instantly

strength is now 4 times better for max life than in poe1
and int is 4 times better for mana, and dex is useless trash 😄

yeh respecs are so expensive, I respeced just a little to try taking a monk ice skill on my ice sorc, and it 1. sucked 2. am broke

idk why this game makes it that expensive - say I want to test out quarterstaff skil sorc one day and crossbow sorc the next day - totally impossible due to costs

It's to prevent people from respeccing for every map mod/boss and to provide weight to your choices
well I tested 1 monk skill today, I respecced for it - in my brain it was good - in the dps tab it shows wayh higher for that skill than my frostball etc. but in reality it sucked

base mana regen is based on your total mana so getting flat mana is effectively flat mana regen

To be honest I think you’ll find the damage disappointing. I have almost 4K mana and I’ve tried the ignite for 20% mana on my curse and the damage just isn’t something worth writing home about
and im a str stacker with like 539 strength and its only 2,777 HP with above average life rolls.
With really good life like Steelmage i think you're looking at 3.5K mostly
so calling it 3k hp I think my spreadsheet puts it at like 2.2k dps lol. sounds viable to me 😛
Hello, could i get someone's opinion on using Deadeye for crossbow instead of Mercenary?
Thinking of doing a lightning bolt or Armour break build and take advantage of deadeye's Extra projectile and Far Shot
But i haven't seen a single reference, noone seems to have tried it?

Quick Q about Flash Grenade - If I throw Pin Support on it, with Overpower Support (50% more Stun buildup) does it:
A) Overpower boosts the stun power, which gets swapped to Pin from Pin support, or
B) Pin support swaps the stun power to Pin power, and Overpower has nothing to boost?

There is I think a lvl 3 lightning exposure support gem. Reduces dmg by like 25% but applies exposure. Then there’s another support that enhances exposure by 30%

If totems are your main source of clear, your weapon doesn’t matter too much, so you can go with scepter for 100-200 spirit and it has passives for ‘allies’ which should include totems (I haven’t tested totems beyond 40)
armor break is also fantastic with rolling slam + armor explosion and overpower! the armor explosion itself can trigger more breaks / explosions 🙂

Wondering if it's worth going "inevitable crit" support with gas grenade, as I've seen that the "impact" of the grenade triggers the critical, I was wondering if it treats that interaction of the impact separate from the "explosion" or does it encompass the full span of the ability guaranteeing a critical on that explosion aswell or am I dumb by wasting crits with the impacts? Chronomancer is fine, BUT it is almost entirely a defensive ascendancy. Stormweaver is mediocre for fire unless you're doing something with lightning to scale with archmage/arcane surge
and for bosses we have hammer of the gods with inevitable critical, second wind, and fast forward - looking to expand this with super critical next

I don’t remember which those are, but I can confirm that if you use the passive that reduces your HP to 1 but makes you chaos immune, and then use a mana pot that takes 15% of the mana restored from your HP, you will commit suicide

What? If you’re full fire are you applying exposure? If so, stormweaver boosts it.
Are you burning through mana? If so, stormweaver prevents that.
Do you want another source of fire damage? Only stormweaver has elemental storm.
Want to add some additional cc into your build? Passively build heavy chill with all damage as stormweaver

Assuming you cap 75% fire resist (maybe higher depending on your passives), you’d need 100% armor mitigation to fill that final gap. I don’t know how much armor that is, but I’m sure you could at least get like 40-50% mitigation (10-12.5% applied to fire)

Can I set my curses to cast with Weapon Set 2, and pick all the curse skill nodes on the passive tree useing my WS2 skill points?
Then set all my other spells to use Weapon Set 1, and pick other nodes using WS1 skill points?

Evidently armor mitigation caps at 90%, so if you were to top that out you’d sit at 22.5% fire mitigation, meaning you’d only need 77.5% to hit 100% (if that’s how they math it—it could be that you reduce the leftover damage by 22.5%)

i think you're mixing it up with the stats line on the item (the parts that show the local stats) grey/white = not modified by a local modifier, blue = modified by a local modifier. currently, there is no reliable way to tell if a modifier is local/global except by knowing rules and experience.

it's local because it's modifying a base stat of the item.

The other nodes arent amazing either. Demon Form could be good if not for losing spirit, the Hound is kinda cool but nothing amazing. The other nodes are alright but not exciting

Depends on the ability. Generally speaking, DoTs are not hits, but things like Gas Grenade apply chaos damage as though it were a hit

It says you take 15% of life and energy shield as fire damage per second, so I imagine it's taking the total of your life and energy shield, determining 15% of that, and then you are dealt a an ignite DoT of that value
but ignite doesn't go through ES does it
Oh ya it's 100% fine then
only things that should be going through ES is poison and bleed, but bleed requires a hit to health and poison is chaos damage

Is there an issue with CI survivability? Nothing budges my energy shield at all and then I just pop randomly and it says “You have committed suicide”, and it happens almost every map- then I unspec out of it and my energy shield goes back to not budging and I won’t die

if you play witch spells and you go e.g. skeletal snipers are you expected to be spending most of the time clicking gas arrow - I cant tell if they cast it anyway and i just aim them with it, or if I need to keep casting it or ignore it
